Riding on the slot car thrill ride at Test Track at World Discovery at EPCOT at Walt Disney World Resort.
Daniel B.

We rode Test Track 3.0, presented by General Motors, which opened on July 22, 2025. It was awesome. This is in my top five favorite rides at EPCOT and top 10 in all of Disney World. My favorite parts are swerving and power-sliding through the forest, narrowly missing a tractor trailer, and then exiting outside where you ride at really high speeds. It's a lot of fun. I got a small rush from the outdoor portion. The ride is themed after the evolution of mobility and future concept designs, which I think is neat. After the ride, you walk through a car showroom (which I found uninteresting) and a gift shop. Tip: We rode this during Extended Evening Hours since we stayed at a Disney Deluxe Resort. On a non-holiday Monday, we entered the line at 9:58 PM and were in our six-seat vehicle by 10:18 PM. A 20-minute wait for a ride this popular is considered short, especially since Lightning Lane isn't an option during these late-night hours. Definitely check it out if you get a chance.

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to ride in a GM commercial, you now have your answer. Test Track is a cool ride. The visuals are great, the ride itself is FAST and it's generally just a well done affair.......RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIGHT until the end, as they take "exit through the gift shop" to a staggering new degree. You will exit through the sales floor, as you will LITERALLY walk through a GM DEALERSHIP on your way out of the building, replete with honest to god salespeople holding clipboards with promises of competitive APR financing. It's a nauseating display of pay to play advertising sponsorship that just detracts from the entire spectacle. And listen, lest you think I'm exaggerating or overselling this point, wait until you go yourself. You can literally walk off Test Track and then go buy a $70,000 GMC Yukon in under 10 minutes. As a ride, Test Track is a solid 4 stars. As an experience, it's significantly less, as it's the metaphorical equivalent to Disney and GM holding you upside down by your ankles, trying to shake the loose change out of your pocket.

I love General Motor so I love test track. Waiting line was so long which it makes sense...If you need some adrenaline and excitement this is the ride to enjoy. We went through single riders only line which it eased the wait time in the long line...Still it was long! I enjoyed every second of it and because i love fast cars, speed and technology so this was one of my favorite rides in EPCOT!

Newly rebranded and reimagined Test Track as of July 2025. Test Track recently reopened to guests to experience the newly themed, storyline and updated to a more "today's" look about transportation, and General Motors is at the forefront of this. You get to see and learn how self driving cars "see", how electric vehicles could be customized in the future and even a look at future options for transportation (flying vehicles perhaps?). The physical track itself remains about the same with some of the same surprises and exhilarating speed. Welcome to 2025 Test Track and thank you for giving us a look at the beyond in transportation.

Our wonky virtual car concept & its performance scores hehe

Got yanked around like a crash test dummy and I loved it! Test Track was definitely one of the funner rides at EPCOT. Before the ride, we designed a wonky virtual concept car to test. Once we buckled up, we went for a spin on the test track! It quickly became clear that our design didn't affect the track experience. Instead, the track revealed whose design performed best at each test in the circuit. There were plenty of sudden jerking movements indoors. At the end, we zoomed across the outdoor track at 65 mph! After the ride, we raced our car around a virtual track with other users. The line was 45 minutes long. I'd wait in line again if we had spare time!

My group of friends had a really fun experience on this ride! We were split into two groups of three and designed our cars. Then once we got on the ride (we all sat in one car, 3 in front, 3 in back), the ride was literally like a test track where new cars are tested for safety, efficiency, and best of all, SPEED! Your design doesn't have any effect on the ride, but as you go through the ride, it shows you your car design and rates it on screens. At the end, you get 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place for overall design. I don't understand how our group's sleek car was 2nd place to our other friend group's Scooby Doo looking mystery machine design hahaha but that just made it funnier anyway.

What a great ride that has been around for a while. At the start you get to make your own car and play with different things that actually affect your score at the end of the ride. Then you get to use your car to do the testing in the ride, which is fast and jerks. It's really cool that you can make your car and then see how it actually performs. A must when you see in Epcot.

Probably the best "ride" at Epcot. You and 5 other passengers are placed in a "car" that zips through a course. This is the closest thing to a roller coaster in this park. You start by "building" your virtual car. This doesn't really affect the actual car you ride in, but at the end of the ride, they give you a score on how well your virtual car performs. When exiting, you walk through what seems like a Chevy dealership. TL/DR: the top attraction at Epcot as evidenced by the 90 minute wait in line. All the other rides were 15 minutes or less.

Lara T.

Great ride at Epcot. You get to design your own car and the properties that you assign to it gets tested in different conditions throughout the ride including the best part at the end, the speedy test around the track. For some reason this ride always has a very long wait, 45-90 mins I've waited before. It's a lot of fun, but I wouldn't wait over an hour for it. It also seems to have technical difficulties every time I go to Epcot and is temporarily closed for part of the day.

That is why this review belongs here. A dispute at one park followed us to another and disrupted the celebration we had paid for. We had been Disney annual passholders for over five years and had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with the company. This trip was my graduation gift to Yasmine and her three friends: a week at Myrtle Beach followed by a week at Disney. The original dispute began at Animal Kingdom when a ride was down as we tried to use our paid Lightning Lane access. I asked for a replacement pass. The interaction escalated into residency questions after I mentioned we had flown in. We had flown from Myrtle Beach as part of this two-state graduation trip and had one-way plane tickets documenting the journey. Then we were stopped at Epcot because of Tyler's note. Other members of our group were subsequently cleared after providing documentation. Yasmine remained blocked. She had turned 18 less than 30 days earlier and had been an annual passholder with us for years. I accepted that turning 18 meant she could be required to provide her own residency proof. What I challenged was why she had to provide a Florida-issued ID when the other seven members of our group were cleared without one, and Disney's website lists alternative residency documents. During this ordeal, Yasmine and her friends were made to sit outside in the heat for three hours. Later that day, they passed out and became severely ill after that prolonged heat exposure. Disney wanted approximately $500 for Yasmine to enter for two days. This was supposed to be a celebration of their graduation. These are the memories we were left with instead. I escalated our complaint. On October 5, Rick from Executive Correspondence called. When I asked about the different documentation requirement, he said Disney had the right to ask. He told me the website required one of three Florida IDs. I read him the provision allowing alternative proof of residency. He said he was looking at the website and did not see what I was seeing. He repeatedly disagreed that we had been discriminated against and refused compensation or a refund. I still did not receive a specific explanation of why Yasmine's documents were insufficient under the published alternatives. We canceled. You do not have to be a Florida resident to care about how a company handles a family's problem. Consider how you would feel arriving at another park and finding that an earlier dispute now prevented entry, then discovering that even an executive escalation could not get you a clear explanation. Our experience left me feeling that Disney was more concerned with keeping our money than meaningfully addressing what happened. After years of loyalty, I no longer trust it with our family's celebrations or vacation budget.

I have been going to Disney parks for as long as I can remember I've been going to Disney parks for…read moreas long as I can remember. It wasn't necessarily a huge thing growing up, but as I got older, got a paying job, and discovered the ability to enjoy a cocktail or two, I definitely started visiting a lot more often. As Florida residents, we do get better deals than out-of-state or international visitors, but even with those discounts, I honestly cannot believe how much the prices have exploded. And I mean that in the absolute worst way possible. It's aggravating and disappointing to see how greedy Disney has become. Why does a bottle of water cost $4? Why am I paying $15 for a small bowl of soup? I understand the whole concept of Disney being magical, where dreams come true and you're paying for an experience, but there no has to be a limit. Once ticket prices started climbing past $150, I pretty much refused to pay those ridiculous prices. The only way you're getting me into these parks anymore is with a free pass! Over the years, I've definitely been fortunate enough to receive my fair share of complimentary Disney passes. This time around, my girlfriend's boss had to leave a day early and could no longer use his pass, so he transferred it to me. Honestly, that was such a thoughtful and generous thing to do, especially considering he didn't even know me! So, my two girlfriends and I spent the day at Disney on and off very rainy day. One of my biggest annoyances, though, is how Disney handles Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Since it's October and the Halloween event requires a separate ticket, anyone who doesn't purchase one has to leave the park at 6 p.m. So, please explain to me why you're charging people full price for a regular park ticket when you're kicking them out early and they're missing some of the biggest events of the night, which is the fireworks! Make it make sense. It honestly feels like a money grab, especially when you consider how much you've already paid just to get through the gates. My girlfriend actually tried to get tickets for the Halloween party, but unfortunately, it was sold out. I absolutely LOVE visiting anything Disney-related during Halloween season because Halloween is my favorite holiday, so missing out on that experience was disappointing. I genuinely don't know how families afford Disney anymore. Sometimes I wonder how many people are putting these trips on credit cards and going into debt just to make those magical memories. A weeklong Disney vacation for a family must cost an absolute fortune once you factor in park tickets, hotel accommodations, food, drinks, and all the extras. Would I visit Disney again? Absolutely, especially if someone else is footing the bill! But paying out of pocket for an entire week with a family? I'd probably be living off ramen noodles for the foreseeable future. Honestly, at this point, I'd seriously consider going to Paris and visiting Disneyland Paris instead. You might get an entirely different experience for your money, and at least you'd get to visit another country while you're at it. Disney will always have a special place in my heart, but the magic is getting harder to justify when your wallet is the one taking the biggest hit.

I came on a Monday to join my Goddaughter's family and to enjoy the day with their 3 little one (ages, 9, 7 and 6) who were all staying onsite. Although everyone had a lot of fun, I was surprised by some of the dated items in this park. I know it was the original Disney park, but compared to the other three parks, this one just didn't impress me personally. First-Parking. If you are driving, the cost to park is expensive. (Luckily, my annual pass provides for free parking.) You cannot walk to Magic Kingdom easily. You must take the tram, which goes under an overpass, then ride the monorail to finally enter the park. Going back to my car at night, I was told to ride the ferry to the lot instead. It was scenic and quicker than entering the park. However, be sure you know if you are in the "Heroes" or the "Villains" parking sections as there are two SEPARATE trams to get you to your car. Signage isn't the greatest directing you to the correct one (especially after a long day here) and I ended up on the "Heroes" tram. It makes only one stop. So, I either had to go back to the Transportation station, or I was directed to walk 15-20 minutes, follow the treeline and my lot would be over a slight hill. There is no sidewalk and minimal lighting so it can be a challenge late at night with so many cars leaving the park. Fast Passes- you really need to purchase this extra package beside your ticket to enter the park and really enjoy it. Otherwise, the lines are LONG and the crowds are massive. (The ride TRON has a special separate pass from the Fast Pass, which also costs extra.) I did not purchase the pass so I waited or walked around while my family rode the rides. Dining. My family made reservations at the California Grill without realizing its a "fine dining establishment". I never considered California Grill as "fine dining", but in Disney, it is. It was a beautiful restaurant with great views (especially for the fireworks), but very expensive for a family of five like my Goddaughter's. The menu has only two price points-$99 for adults and $49 for children 9 and under! You can choose several items off the menu list for an appetizer, main entree and a dessert, but $50 for a kid's meal?!! Luckily, I could use my passholder status to get 10 percent taken off the bill, but over $500 for 3 adults and 3 children under 9 is steep. Just be aware of this situation if you make a reservation at this restaurant. My family did enjoy the park, especially the kids, but I doubt I'll be back again. The price of the park does not seem to match the value you receive, but if you have children, it probably is a "must-see" experience.

Love most of the rides, will pay for the Lightning Passes, will eat at the nicer reataurants along with the quick meal spots, buy souvenirs, and always stay for the parades and evening fireworks show, etc. Halloween and Chrismas times are pretty awesome too but be prepared to deal with big crowds. Personally, I highly recommend Tower of Terror, one of my favorite rides, and the newly revamped Rock 'n' Roller Coaster, now themed to the Muppets. Toy Story Land is a must with little ones, although I still feel like something is missing there. Maybe it's just me... We'll see what happens when the long-awaited Monsters, Inc. area finally opens. There are several water stations throughout the park with bottle-filling taps, so you can easily refill it instead of buying.

From the very first moment, the floating mountains completely stop you in your tracks. Pictures don't do them justice. Standing beneath them while waterfalls cascade below and vines wrap around the massive rock formations creates one of the most believable themed environments Disney has ever built. Every direction offers another incredible photo opportunity. What really impressed me was the attention to detail. Giant alien plants, strange wildlife, weathered pathways, and even the smallest rock formations make Pandora feel like a living ecosystem instead of a movie set. The Imagineers clearly obsessed over every inch of this land, and it shows. Then there's Avatar Flight of Passage. The queue deserves almost as much praise as the ride itself. Disney doesn't simply have you standing in line, they immerse you in the story. As you move through caves, laboratories, and the Avatar Program research facility, you're constantly discovering something new. From the massive Mountain Banshee skeletons to the scientific equipment, the incredible Avatar floating in the laboratory tank, and countless hidden details, the queue becomes part of the attraction rather than just a wait. Because you're always exploring and taking in the environment, the line feels noticeably shorter than it actually is. Disney also made the queue surprisingly practical. About midway through, you'll find a restroom, along with a water fountain and bottle refill station, so you can take a quick break without having to leave the line. It's a thoughtful touch that makes waiting much more comfortable, especially on a hot Florida day. Most of the line is under the shade. And then you board. Flight of Passage is simply one of the greatest theme park attractions ever created. The sensation of linking with your banshee and soaring across Pandora is incredibly convincing. The movement, visuals, wind effects, scents, and breathtaking musical score combine into something that feels more like a real adventure than a theme park ride. By the time it's over, you'll probably already be planning your next ride. One of my favorite aspects of Pandora is that it rewards people who slow down. Instead of rushing from attraction to attraction, take time to wander. Look up at the floating mountains. Listen to the waterfalls. Notice the alien vegetation and hidden pathways. Every corner feels alive, making the land itself just as much of an attraction as the rides. We also had lunch at Satu'li Canteen, which was another highlight. The food was fresh, flavorful, and a refreshing break from the usual theme park fare. The Ocean Moon Bowl was packed with flavor, the Cheeseburger Pods were unique and fun to try, and both desserts, the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse and the Mangkwan Mousse--were outstanding. It completed the immersive experience perfectly. Myself and my Son both enjoyed Pandora and will return. If I had one criticism, it's simply that Pandora leaves you wanting more. With only two attractions, you can experience everything relatively quickly, but the world itself is so breathtaking that you'll find yourself lingering just to soak it all in.

I will never understand Pandora The World of Avatar at Disney's Animal Kingdom. I'm not a fan of…read morethe movies, and it really makes no sense within the parameters of this theme park. I guess since it's a Disney IP they gotta milk it for all it is worth, and they definitely are doing that here. I'll admit that it is one of the most visually stunning areas in AK, especially at night. I guess if you're a fan of the "Avatar" films, you'll really dig it. Otherwise, it's just a bunch of funky psychedelic fake plants and what not. The floating mountains are the main showstopper with their massive rock formations covered in vines and waterfalls that look like they're defying gravity. It's the kind of thing that makes you feel like you've actually stepped onto another planet. During the day, it's lush and colorful but at night, everything glows with bioluminescent lights which turns the area into this dreamy, neon wonderland. There are only two rides here but they are among the park's most popular. There's Flight of Passage and then the Na'vi River Journey, with the former being much better than the latter. Both attractions always have super long lines, but I'm not so sure that's a sign of their overall quality more than the fact that AK doesn't have many rides to begin with. There are some Avatar-themed food options that are creative and the atmospheric music adds a lot to set the tone. This area of the park is newer so that also means it was well designed for crowd control and flow. It never seems overly crowded over here.

Go here in the morning first thing to avoid the crowds and sometimes the overbearing heat! Excellent experience for family and kids to se especially in the morning as the first ride to avoid the crowds. There were so many animals already roaming around in the morning as they're just waking up and likely grazing food to start their day. The guides are funny and very knowledgeable for the kids and everyone will have a great time going on this ride. At the end, there's a little photo op to do do with some Safari jeep and overall, it's a really great start to enjoy the day at Animal Kingdom!

Oh, I really liked this ride. It's possible that's because it was the first ride we went on at…read moreDisney World. But it's a super ride and perfect for small children. My two year old was probably a bit confused about what was going on when we climbed into our safari vehicle, and I'm not sure she was totally on board throughout the ride to be honest. Although we've been to Lincoln Park Zoo, she was very very young at the time and would not remember being this close to an animal that wasn't on the level of a dog, snake, or turtle. So whilst I think being mere feet from giraffes, elephants, and wildebeests was unexpected, she said she enjoyed it. The driver was informative and didn't make the embarrassing jokes that the "captain" of the Jungle Cruise did, for which I'm thankful. In addition to the aforementioned animals, we came across black and white rhinos, lions, hippos, cheetahs, flamingos, and more. The ride was leisurely and comfortable, and there's no height requirement so anyone can ride. This was a lot of fun to start our first visit to Disney World. It's a very popular ride, apparently. 45+ minute wait times are not uncommon. We used a lightning lane to cut through most of it but we did have to wait 10 minutes or so before we got on. I'd definitely recommend lightening lanes for this one!

A wonderfully themed and maintained water park for your Disney vacation!…read more Beat the heat with a winter wonderland! We had the perk of a free water park admission on our check-in day, so of course, we wanted to check out the Disney excellence at Blizzard Beach. The entryway almost feels like you are in Arendelle! Large ski resort buildings with details that exude Disney magic. Icicles dripping from the gutters. Snow banks pushed up against the structures. A cute photo op of melting snowman taking a photo in Disney attire! Plenty of slides. Tons of seating areas. You could easily enjoy an entire day in this waterpark!

Unfortunately, a heavy downpour cut our visit short, so I didn't get to experience everything the park had to offer. There were plenty of chairs throughout the park, although I did notice there weren't many covered areas. Despite the weather, I thought Blizzard Beach was a fun experience and a great way to spend a Disney resort check-in day. I especially appreciate the complimentary water park admission offered to Disney resort guests on their arrival day. I would definitely recommend taking advantage of that perk and would love to return when the weather is better!
