I elevated this review to three stars based on my belief that we're heading in the right direction. We both want the issues resolved in a positive and professional manner, and I will continue to update this review as we progress. It's a real bummer that I'll likely be without my BMW for a month, but it's a reality I'm working to accept. I can see the owner making a genuine effort to make things right, which I greatly appreciate. Original Review, posted 9/30/25: I recently worked with The Paddock Film Works in Woodinville on a project for my BMW X7. The total cost was over $9,000, of which I paid a $2,000 deposit. The work remains incomplete, and after what was done, I raised concerns about the quality of the workmanship, the value received, and damage I believe occurred as a result of the work. I have since obtained a repair estimate from another shop exceeding $6,400 to address the issues I identified. I reached out to The Paddock by email, but the response I received did not address my concerns, and since then I have experienced a lack of communication from the company. At this time, my concerns remain unresolved, and I am still waiting for the company to meaningfully address them. I am posting this review to share my current experience so far and will update it once I know how The Paddock handles my dissatisfaction.

He had his heart set on a Wooldridge, apparently all the fishing guides have this kind of boat and it is the best. Whatever, I thought. A boat is a boat. I was wrong. Wooldridge is a family company in its third generation of ownership that hand crafts each aluminum boat in south Seattle. We walked around in their shop and saw that they only make about 6 boats at a time. This is no Mexican assembly line, it's local craftspeople. They've been in business for a long time, and they really are the best. The welds on our boat are a thing of beauty, mostly because they look strong as hell. They did ALL the work in-house, including outfitting our boat with its accessories and installing the ones we bought elsewhere (got a deal on the downriggers). When you buy a Wooldridge, you become part of their family. People with these boats talk to fellow owners as if they've known each other for years instead of just met them at the boat launch.

Had they driven my car to ensure all is in proper working order after the "job" was done, they would have noticed they forgot to tighten down the motor mounts! I couldn't figure out what awful noises (and a general feeling) I was hearing until I got home (to Snomomish from Redmond) and realized the motor mount bolt was more than half way sticking up! Never got an apology from Dan (the owner) just that he was mad at his employee who worked on the car. He suggested I come back to his shop (during business hours only of course, which meant I'd have to use more of my personal time off from work) to have him do a "look over" even though I kept explaining driving my car to his shop with lose motor mounts (and who knows what else) was not something I was willing to do. Not only that problem, but Dan overcharged me for parts!!!(Gave some excuses why it costed more, but after calling other shops, the parts ordered should have been cheaper than what I was charged. Too late to get refund since I had already paid for it.) Thankfully, I knew someone else who was a mechanic that lived close enough to me to tighten the motor mounts and ensure nothing else was mistakenly forgotten about. Never heard back from Dan to show any concern on fixing the problem nor any kind of offer for discount on bill since I had to "get the job done" elsewhere. If you want to waste your money, Dan will gladly take it!

South Kirkland Park & Ride is located just north of the Kirkland border with Bellevue. It is…read morelocated right off 520 and close to Northup Way. A multi-story parking garage was built several years ago to provide additional parking spaces at this park and ride. I don't use this park and ride very often since I live in Bellevue. The park and rides at Eastgate, Mercer Island and South Bellevue are more convenient. Though if you live in Kirkland, this is probably your best option if you are going to park and commute into Seattle from here. There are a few buses that stop here. A few of them are more localized as they make stops only within Kirkland, though there is a bus that goes to Kenmore. And then there is the Metro bus 255 which goes to Kingsgate and Downtown Seattle. There are buses every 30 minutes each way on the weekends. But there is more frequent service (10-15 minutes) on weekdays. The good thing about waiting for the bus here is that buses stop in the same location in both directions. Though you do need to make sure you read the destination sign to make sure you are catching the right bus. The park and ride itself is fine. I just don't frequent it often because it is farther away and there isn't as much bus service to places where I am going. It is a bit more convenient if you are headed to the U-District and north Seattle as the buses that stop here going to Seattle use 520 instead of I-90.
