This charging station has a lot around there on every corner. There's great coffee bean it's has a drive thru also. maybe a half a yard away next to there is a breakfast & Resturant that has had long lines. But if walk out to the street at every corner is lots of Great eatery's on Lakewood Blvd there's The oldest McDonalds and cross from there is one the best BBQ Resturant Chris n Pitt's we grew up with chicken & pork ribs & beef On the opposite side is large strip mall with Ralph's market & more Restaurant's & fast food and great fancy donuts Louks is the best too read more

This place boast 12 stalls and is very convenient to lots of restaurants including Golden Corral, Poke, Mc D's, Chris' BBQCoffee Tea & Leaf and many more across the street. Area is extremely clean and never have had issues with parking so I wouldn't put too much faith in the one star review in this thread. Stalls have two spots where you can pull in head first. read more

Ummm...so I found out my other Downey supercharging review got posted here instead lol Well, here to go on a new note... I decided to come to this location to charge since I haven't been here before and I was down to 66 miles. The last thing I'd want is to be a dead iPad on wheels. I arrived around 1130am on Tuesday and it was pretty busy. Only 3 slots left. I pulled into the 3rd spot closed to the street and found out it wasn't in service. It advised me to change charging stalls. Lame. The next one I came to worked perfectly. I thought my charging speed would decrease since it was parked right next door to other vehicles but I am still hanging at a good 72kw. Cool! I've only been here 10mins and all the stalls are full. I really like the Stonewood mall location because there are more stalls but the ants in the trees just kill it. Note to self: pre car wash-Stonewood mall. Safest supercharger in Downey, but usually the most packed if you go during peak hours since it's the closest off the freeway. Poached Eggs and Coffee Bean are in the plaza. If the pandemic is over and Golden Corral opens up again, this plaza is more packed with cars which makes waiting a nightmare. Across the street is BBQ and McD. If you're in a pinch, drive a little further and go to the one at the mall. It's usually less packed, but is sketchy at night. read more

Convenient location off the 5 freeway. Fairly safe and located next to a Golden Corral buffet and Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf. The chargers at full functionality and capacity is a hit or miss at times. My main complaint is that the wait times can sometimes be 20-30 minutes and there isn't a great place for cars to line up or directions on which side is the correct side to line up. Other than that, this is our main charging station when I need more juice heading back to San Diego. read more

Great location to charge. The only Bummer there is typically one or two of the charging stations is broken!. Thats so not cool when you don't notice right away. The plus is out of the 10 times I have charged at this location the Tesla mechanic crew showed up maybe 3 or 4 times. Thats pretty cool because they offer free on the spot fixes for your Window, Door, trim, and I've even witnessed the mechanic updating someones software. Located in The Commons shopping area, there are quite a few food places nearby to grab a bite as your car charges. The first time I came around this area, several chargers were not working and essentially, there was a long line of cars waiting for an open spot. However, this time around, lots of open spots, woohoo! As with most chargers, you'll have to back in your car to charge. However, it looks like there's at least 2 chargers where you can park head in. Other than that, it's a decent place to charge up. read more

This is usually my go to when I travel to LA from SD. It is super easy to get to from the freeway and it has plenty of food selections while you wait for your charge. The downside of it is that it's super busy on the weekend. Lately i have been having to wait in line for 15 to 20 mins for a spot to open up (even last 8pm). Overall a clean and safe supercharge location. read more

This charger has a few stalls but it's conveniently located near some restaurants and a gym. There are usually spaces available and I haven't had trouble getting one. read more

Tesla has a new Supercharger that just opened!! It charges super fast but is considered one of their "destination" chargers. It's 72kW instead of 120kW but still charges super duper fast. It is convenient to McDonald's and the Coffee Bean is you wanna grab a quick bite. Not many people know about the charger yet so it's still pretty quiet. I can imagine during the day it's occupied by non-Tesla's though... read more

Good supercharger location, right off the 5 freeway. Outdoors, 12 stalls @ 72kw, wasn't that busy when I stopped by on the weekend with several open chargers. Coffee Bean in the same plaza with some other eateries within walking distance, as well as a Ralph's supermarket. read more

This supercharging station use to be nice. However, recently its been plague with very slow charging (max 35v) and two to three stations not working. It's in need of some kind of upgrade or service. I'm talking about the one at Stoney Brook, by the mall. read more

Plenty of slot to charge, there's walking distance to local stores. Only wish they have a Tesla office for restroom break or a lounge.

So easy to just plug in and shop for half an hour and drive away with a full charge for $15.00. I think peak hours start at 4:00.

At 4:30am w only one other car occupying the 12 stalls charging at 52kW and 210mph with car almost empty is unacceptable ~ very slow by Tesla Supercharger standards. With 1,000mph Hyper-Chargers being touted (where ARE they?), 4-500 oughta be minimum for virtually no other cars & near empty start. read more

The one thing I love most about this supercharger is the fact that it's surrounded by plenty of restaurants and stores to pass the time. I've been here in the early mornings charging my car, and I usually go inside and get tea from the coffee bean just across from it. There's also a Ralph's walking distance if you need to get some grocery shopping done! read more

Great place to charge and also get a bit to eat. Note that the chargers here are destination chargers so you're only going to get 72kW max. If you're hungry Poached is in the same parking lot and is a great place to grab a bite to eat while charging. read more

We just arrived here, only two Tesla cars are charging . Others were parked non-Tesla cars. The parking lot was packed. The people used Tesla parking area to park their non-Tesla cars. Insane!! Forgot to take a picture to show this. So disappointed!! read more

Inside a nice and clean center with The Coffee Bean steps away. Come before 7am (weekdays), otherwise, it's a brutally slow charge of 20mi/hr with 4 Teslas charging. read more
