I love shopping and that includes food shopping. I visit this Tesco on a regular basis due to the location.
Shopping at Tesco's is always a love hate relationship for me. The main problem I find with this Tesco, is variety for vegetarians. They seem to stock about 100 different types of sausages, now as much as I like the odd sausage here and there I do not need sausages everyday.
On entering you have magazines on your left hand side. The magazine section is ok, there isn't a huge selection but it has the big titles. From there follows on the fruit and veg, The fruit and veg is ok ... not Waitrose standard but they are ok.
There is a good bread/bakery section that has lots of cakes (I try to stay away from these aisles)
There are a lot of bogof offers on things which have a short shelf life. I hate this due to the fact that I hate wasting food. Bogof on Shampoo is great :)
They have lots of own branded food which I have no problem buying (Other than the things you cannot buy own branded e.g. Coca Cola, Heinz etc).
One thing I always suggest regardless of supermarket would be to check the expiry date. I have found a number of things that have been out of date on the shelves. Always pick everything from the back.
This is a medium sized Tesco, so to do a weekly shopping is fine, but if you are looking to find something a little special or different I would try the Mega Super Duper Duper store which is MASSIVE!!
The plus side is that there are more than enough parking spaces so you will always be able to park somewhere :)
Tesco points are ok! Nectar points are better. read more
