Despite opening only a few days ago, the store still doesn't feel as new as other stores such as the Lidl in Baguley in Wythenshawe, I do feel the store layout could have also been thought out better. I think the bakery should be the first thing you see as you walk in, the smell warms you, even for someone like me who can't eat bread anyway! I also think the toilets are poorly located, despite advertising toilets outside they have a single toilet which is after the check-out, due to the one-way system around the store (This isn't a COVID one-way system), it means you have to go through the checkouts and then out of the store and in again, just to get to the toilet, which makes little sense. This can especially be annoying (whether you want to access the toilet or get in/out of the store without buying anything) as it means having to queue at the checkout, as like most Lidl/Aldi stores I've visited, they always seem to have few checkouts in operation, all of them being very narrow. The selection inside the store was fine, they did have some decent items, while I prefer ASDA across the way, and Sainsbury's on Trinity Street, they did have some good items at better prices than the other supermarkets mentioned, and I do prefer this to the Morrisons location also in Bolton town centre. The staff seemed friendly enough, they were happy to point me in the direction of the bathrooms which are poorly signposted. 3*

This is a fairly new Morrisons replacing the previous Netto that was here…read more At first glance it seems a welcome addition to the area yet it is typically over priced as Morrisons often are yet with great offers. On first entering there is a significant feeling of claustraphobia, there is a lot crammed into the relatively modest sized space with very little room to manouver, you're basically ceiling to floor, wall to wall shelving. It is not the kind of environment you can comfortably browse, more a quick in and out. In a previous incarnation the building was a Safeway and encompassed the adjoining space too (now Home Bargains) and this was a much better set-up, being Breightmet's only supermarket it needs that extra space. In this space they have squeezd all departments bar a deli, however there is a fresh fish counter, in store bakery and frozen section. The selection of goods they stock seems satisfactory and there is of course parking out front which many will find bonus. The staff are helpful and pleasant. Two things the pemises are lacking however are a cash machine and as previously stated, more space.

Often a large section of reduced food for fruit and veg and meat ! With a Famous Asda pizza counter , fish and hot counter they don't do too badly but did away with the deli counter a few years back which was a shame I like thick ham with my English mustard ! Well stocked and directed store See my separate review on the in store pharmacy !!! Great fresh fruit & veg section which is usually always full but sometimes too ripe for 5 day freshness. There's always a seasonal aisle, for example Christmas, Summer BBQ, Halloween. The brilliant make your own pizza counter is always a favourite of mine & the hot meat counter, great for fri/sat nights in. I always take advantage of the click & collect service which is available. Although the machine sometimes takes a long time to work & there's sometimes a short wait for your goods, the staff have always been friendly & apologetic if any delays.
