This branch of Tesco is another one of those places I've been meaning to review for a while, but somehow have not, and with no reviews now for over 4 years, since then we have had a new Prime-minister, 2 European Championships, one full Olympic Games and all the preparation for another ready to start in days in Rio, but still based on the ratings it doesn't seem to have any drastic change and I still feel this place deserves 4 stars.
To add to my past comments, with 2 reviews it seems like this place likes getting reviewed every 4 years, with a review in 2008 and 2012, I am interested yet delighted to continue that tradition.
Now away from my rambling, and back to my original review this is a fairly nice branch of Tesco in the city centre of Manchester, albeit being a small branch it still is fairly nice and modern and it does stand out and look quite nice with glass windows, you could tell me it was only a few months old, and with no prior knowledge to where this store was built I would believe you, but I know that isn't the case which is good going really for a supermarket.
The range seemed to basically cover your basic essentials, with a nice amount of manned and self-service tills, and the inside of the store seemed different, but in a good way too, much more modern and stood out more, they had similar signs to the bigger supermarkets, but it just seemed cooler, which was good.
Overall, this is a cool place to go in the city centre, especially around the Manchester Universities to pick up some essentials, and deserves a solid 3 stars. read more
