Self service checkouts all of them except one. There is not enough space (once you have scanned the item) everything falls on you. You are not allowed to put it in the trolley so the staff told me until payment has been made. People then have to wait behind you. Terrible system. It just makes one angry. read more

Not a massive fan or this Tesco to be honest. I find it disorganised and there is not the normal logical Tesco layout. Quite a few times you are looking for something and it's just not there. A few staff really smell, you can be stood at the checkout with your eyes watering! How nobody says anything to them or allows them on the shop floor is beyond me. The fresh aisles are annoying and I spend half my time going back in myself for something. There is very limited selection of supermarket in Finchley Central, so you just have to "suck it up", however, you can't help but feel they know this so don't really care...... read more

Managers can decide what to stock from their companies list of foods, and I have to admit, since I sold my car so have had to go to this local store, I have been disappointed with their range. Also like the earlier reviewer I do find the store a little run down. It is probably used as a training store for new managers, but if this is so, then I may reduce my portfolio of Tesco stock. It doesn't bode well for future Tesco managers. read more

Disastrous. I have been shopping here for over 10 years and have witnessed its decline. Car Park: Dangerous and dark, frequent arguments due to people having difficulty manoevering and causing blockages in the flow of traffic. Even worse now that it has been improved, even less space! Stupid! Shop: Grubby, even though just refurbished, still feels poorly cleaned. Aisles have got so narrow it is unpleasant to squeeze down to find anything. Staff: Unhelpful, rude, not proactive. There have only been two people that have been helpful and they were both assisstants, bottom rung employees that seemed to know how to do things better than their managers however were unable to do anything as were not senior enough. Totally mismanaged branch. Can't wait for the new Sainsbury's to open so I can stop giving money to Tesco. read more

What a surprise! A good 24 hour tesco with friendly staff and an excellent home section. I came here for the pharmacy and they were super helpful and fast.. it's a tesco but worth an early visit as I imagine it's hell later on with the direct exit onto the A406.. read more

I'm usually a fan of Tescos but I don't really like this branch. It looks a bit rundown and in need of a bit of a makeover, and the layout is not very good. It's convenient though, and stays open late. read more

We've been shopping at this store for over 15 years and the quality of the store, including its staff is really declining. I think it has hit rock bottom. Many staff members are rude and unhelpful when approached for assistance (e.g. my husband was looking at some breads, when he placed one down, a Tesco employee (woman) approached him and told him off for putting the bread in a wrong place. Then she mumbled something rude about him and when my hubby asked for her name, she walked off!!) I think re-training their staff to respect customers should be Tesco's first step!!! Also their car park is just horrendous. The pathway hasn't been resurfaced for decades. Every time we buy eggs or other fragile items we are worried they would break by the time we get with the trolley to the car, especially around the zebra crossing. read more

Usually very efficient and not many long queues, only complain I would have is customer service is bit of a wait usually as there only seems to be a person on the desk. So not too great for picking up lotto tickets and cigarettes. Stocks most items that a large Tesco would and has a pharmacy at the back.
