Being a Tesco Express, the range of products are limited. They do stock most of the daily essentials and some microwave fast foods. Free Parking out front is limited to about 4 spaces, but there is paid parking nearby. read more

The food selection is good, however the actual store is not as nice as many other Sainsburys I've been to. Interestingly though, they do have a good home ware selection, and have lots of value packs (fab for students). It's rather popular with the yachting set, due to its close proximity to Swansea waterfront (plus the food really is superior). Avoid the cafe though!

I think discount supermarkets such as these are meant as more of a try and see if you like it more than a weekly shopping trip. There are 5 or 6 things I regularly buy in Lidl but for my main shopping I stick to british supermarkets. They do some great deals such as half price fruit and vegetables, and its always worth picking up a flyer to see what is going to be on offer next week. Lidl do have an annoying habit of suddenly discontinuing certain stock and there isn't an alternative place to find it.

It's location is unusual for a supermarket in the sense that it's very close to the main shopping centre. Also it's proximity to the central bus station makes it ideal for those without cars (generally students). If you do have a car, be warned, it's very hard to find parking, and you have to queue to get in and out of the car park (absolute nightmare at around 4pm)!

Well, you can't really do that with this particular branch of Tesco. It's a very small supermarket and they can cover basic needs such as eggs and bread, but there isn't much room to pick and choose. Atmosphere: I usually don't mind smaller grocers, but the main problem with this place is that it is actually quite dirty and unkempt - not really what I would expect from a massive brand. I'd be more forgiving if this was a small independent supermarket, but that isn't the case. I mean, if you live closeby and you cannot be bothered traveling further to do your shopping, by all means go ahead. However, when it comes to variety and cleanliness, I would definitely make another grocer your favourite.

There's also a pharmacy, photoshop and cafe in store. It's a big store, but once you know your way around, your weekly shop is easy. You soon get used to the extra choice, which you miss when you revert to a smaller store. The only down side is the parking.
