Handy little place & was just around the corner from the hotel on the front. We forgot a bottle opener, it now lives in the car.

But don't bother going pre armed with a shopping list as it's usually a bit hit and miss whether they will cater for all your needs. Often have good offers, prices are on a par with larger supermarkets, maybe a couple of extra pence on a few bits but definately cheaper than, say spar. Oh, they also do fresh fruit and veg which always scores big brownie points with me. Can get very busy - especially on a Sunday evening.

Good parking, although many elderly and disabled park in the mother and baby spaces, and give YOU the dirty look when you get out the car! Pound coin or token needed for trolley, which there are plenty of. Interesting middle section that changes every few days so every shopping trip is slightly different. Staff tend to whizz things through the checkout at warp speed so you have to be on the ball packing! Aisles well spaced with plenty of room to zoom past the dawdlers, fruit and veg can be a bit hit and miss, but with prices so low, its barely worth complaining. Definately worth a visit, can save a fortune here.

Quick and easy to shop in compared to other supermarkets. Food on the whole is very nice, although some of the fruit and veg can be a bit battered, but very cheap and great for soups and stews. Sometimes have to queue at the till and still havn't got the hang of the packing properly, i end up just throwing everything in the trolley, then bagging it up at the car! Stress free shopping on a budget. The only gripe i have is there are no baskets, only trollies which you need a £1 coin to use.

The car park entrance is around the corner in Moat Croft Road, and there's a bus stop right outside, so access is good for an urban location. It has everything you'd need for your weekly shop - whether it's for you or not depends on whether you're prepared to pay more for your shop compared with some other supermarkets, although they do have offers and have just introduced a cheaper essentials range. On the other hand, I generally find the quality good (especially for fruit and veg) and the staff here were very helpful on my visit. Pay your money and take your choice, I guess. My one real downer on this location is that they could have made the building a bit nicer - it's a posh version of a brick-encased shed, and it rather detracts from the architecture of the Old Town, including the 12th century church and pub nearby
