It's free so don't expect anything mind-blowing. However, it's a nice addition to the rec center grounds. It's an activity you can do with kids. They can run around and you get to look at art. There's a little playground for kids as well. Very limited -- a web swing, a slide, and a climbing dome. If you want to keep walking, the trail loops around the pond. I think it's about a mile. Nothing scenic but nice to have the option nonetheless. The art varies -- there were pieces I liked and others, not so much.

The total length around the pond was about 0.8 miles, not long but paved. We had our dog with us, and we were happy to see a couple of poopy bag stations along the trail. However, they were in random places and weren't near the recreation center. When we went, few people were on the path, which made for a pleasant time. Bikes can use the same trail, so be sure to yield to them to let them pass. For the sections of the trail that dip towards the water, there is an alternate, higher dirt path you can take whenever the water of the pond rises from rain and light flooding. The trail extends and passes by Costco and a Marriott hotel. Along the way, there are a couple of spots where you can see a small waterfall when you pass under a bridge. We saw several people fishing along the banks, though we're unsure whether or not a fishing license is required. This trail isn't too bad if you don't mind the car traffic noise from cars entering and exiting the Costco parking lot.

I happened on this place originally by happenstance and had a great conversation with the owner. She made me feel at ease bringing in a couple paintings to have framed that I had been putting off to avoid putting them in the hands of amateurs. Each piece is meticulously stored until ready to work with it and looks immaculate upon pick up. The entire staff are great and patient and the prices fair, particularly for the caliber of work they do. I can't recommend this place to enough people. Oh, and they have a really interesting and eclectic offering of local pieces for sale to. This place is always worth stopping by.

It seems as though the other art rotates. Admission is free and their only request is that you sign the guest book with your zip code so they can track where visitors come from. The space is open late (until 8 pm) on Wednesdays, so it was an easy stop-by for me after work that day. There is ample free parking in downtown Round Rock that is convenient to the gallery space.

I experienced 'real conversation' regarding art, the artists, museum level of framing Kimi provides to both artist or collector. It was a refreshingly welcome interaction, rather than any type of commercial 'let's make a deal' vibe. I did walk out with a piece of original art, created by BRIESCHKE, a local artist, who studied at a Chicago Art School, decades ago... yet hasn't lost her eye for considerable richness of palette presentation. A nice atmosphere. Lots to do. The regular park is there as well as the lake. Plenty of porta potties all around. Plenty of vendors to stroll through and see all the different stuff. Plenty of alcohol! At night there are many people wandering about with glow in the dark accessories for sale. Bring your cooler, your blanket, your chairs, your sunscreen and find a nice spot on the lawn.. and enjoy your day! I HIGHLY recommend staying for the movie that is playing... even if you don't want to see it, because the traffic leaving after the firework show is unimaginable! HAVE FUN!

It's almost picture perfect. We stopped by the Frontier Days Celebration on July 4th. It's a huge event with carnival rides, pig races, food trucks, and a few other vendors. I believe they had fireworks at night but we were there in the afternoon. The event was very organized and there was plenty of parking. I'd say they drew a crowd in the thousands on July 4th. This is a free event and its' really quite nice. Very nice for families with younger children.

Vera Gallery is an eye-catching gallery in downtown Georgetown, TX with brightly painted pieces…read moreeasily viewable from the window. The paintings were stunning and awe-inspiring. The space is beautifully curated and honors the vibrant work of American artist Vera Neumann, showcasing original artwork, scarves, and design pieces that exude happiness, joy and delight. Browsing the gallery feels like stepping into a brightly lit world of pure joy. There's bold colors, exquisite design, and intricacy on full display. The gallery also highlights work done by local female artists. This joint collaboration celebrates artistry making for a very meaningful, community-oriented experience. We perused the gallery on a self-guided tour. There was one gallery representative available for the entire store. While we did not purchase any pieces, the artwork appeared to be of high quality and the prices commensurate with their value.

The Christmas tree, decorated with scarf bow ties, is absolutely beautiful, and the staff is friendly. I bought a small archival silk scarf from Japan, made in the early 1960s. Unfortunately, it tore easily when I washed it, so I don't think it's worth the price ($40).

It does such a great job of bringing local history to life in a way that's interesting, engaging, and enjoyable to experience. The exhibits were well done, thoughtfully curated, and give you a real appreciation for Williamson County's beginnings. The museum is welcoming, educational, and perfect for all ages...as a visitor I found it interesting to understand Williamson County's history. It's a great stop if you enjoy history or want to learn more about the community you're are visiting. Highly recommend checking it out and supporting this local museum. Important to note, entrance to the museum was free.

It's a shame that small town bigots and prudes are reviewing this small local museum poorly because of their views. As people who are newer to the area we were able to learn a lot of information about the past of the area. The man working there had extra stories for us and recommended other historical places in the community to visit. There is nothing that is sexual or outlandish in the exhibits, just true history, perfectly digestible for children. Many of the exhibits are interactive with additional sounds, videos, or items to lift and read under. We found it by exploring the square, but they do offer scheduled tours. Free to visit, but please consider donating or purchasing something that they have on sale in their gift shop to support them!
