This is a scary and well designed haunted house- perhaps one of the best non-professional haunted houses the I have attended. It was hard for me to determine how to rate this attraction, without separating it from the professional and extremely scary haunted houses that I have experienced. So- 5 stars, but recognizing that there are elements that the experts with lots of cash do on a whole other scale. There are two attractions here- The Manor and The Trail- a combo pass for the 2 events is $25.00. It seemed to be worth it, mainly because it reduced the line for the second attraction and saves you $2 a piece. On Sundays, the combo is $20.00- so a $7 savings each! All combo pass holders were required to experience the The Manor first, then the trail. The line for the Manor seemed to take longer than expected for the amount of people ahead of us, but that may have been due to the makeup of the line (and the attendees of the attraction)- almost entirely teenagers. Haunted attractions generally attract youthful folks, but this crowd seemed especially high school aged. Line cutting and general shenanigans. There was also a creepy old man (not an actor) who was trying really hard to barter/bully his way to the front of the line, so even the old get up to shenanigans. Thankfully, at least in a group of four, you don't get paired with other groups. Also, as in the case of most of these types of attractions, there were port-a-potties. Not unexpected, but never a plus. The Manor was quite good, with some nice scares and unexpected twists. Good scary/funny communication between the actors and guests right at the beginning. There were some rooms where it wasn't entirely clear how much interaction was expected between the guests and the actors. Should we stay and chat? Were they prepared for that? Or should we keep moving for the next group? Not always the scariest, but very well staged. Some fun structural elements that I won't spoil. The Trail was really fabulous. You walk along a dimly lit trail, following a series of red lights that are close enough to each other to keep you from getting lost, but far enough away from each other to make you feel some trepidation. The actors are expert at inserting themselves into groups. This trail is a good combination of a sense of generalized dread and the kind of startle scares that haunted houses are known for. Quite a long experience (in a good way) with some really stand-out moments both from the actors and the structural features. At the end is a pitch black maze/house thing that our group was really really terrible at- so terrible that after trying to creepily stay in character and hint at the exit, the actors finally took pity on us and just pointed us towards the door. The only down side of the trail was one actor during/after the hillbilly area who stuck with our group maybe a little too long to be fun-scary. He smelled strongly of liquor and had a believable snarl. Hopefully part of the act and not just an intoxicated worker or stranger. With the many encounters with the actors at this event, this was the only one that stuck out as a little off and unpleasant (and not in a haunted way). After the maze, there was the opportunity to buy low priced concessions (or Ghoulmet Cuisine, according to the website): donuts, cider, soda, bottled water, boxed candy, things to dip in nacho cheese, etc. There is well lit area in front of a scary fake tree with a face where you can take a picture holding a sign that says "I survived the Terrorfied Forest" or something. A nice touch- it gave me something to Instagram. Overall a really fine seasonal attraction. I look forward to going back in future years to watch this haunted experience grow and change.

See the hole in the tree, how perfect would it be to have a monster hiding in there and show up in your pictures. Just a thought

They utilized the hospital in most of the attraction, which made the whole experience even more creepy! I went for a private event, but it opened this weekend. I recommend everyone to go check out this historical site. So much has happened here in the past, you can feel the grounds energy as you pull into the parking lot. Looking up at those old windows, you can just feel someone or something peering from one! Go check out Eloise Asylum! The best haunted attraction in the state of Michigan!

Just when you exit the building you think your done but you down to the basement of the building and it was just as long as the first floor was. Definitely worth the money you spend. Also waiting in line for the second half there were people dressed in costume trying to scare you. But you can get them to do a selfie. I do think the exit out the back way needs to be lit up more and more direction as how to exit once you're out of the parking lot. I went there for an "Elite" yelp event which also had food and drinks. You also saw a lot of characters in the main area in which had no issue. It was a great event! Hope you like it too. I can't believe no one has written a review on this small town haunt! Maybe no one in small towns…read morearound uses Yelp? But I am here to review just the drive-thru haunt in this small town. I give it 5 stars for sure! The only issue I had was that the staff didn't mention to clients to wear a mask if they decide to roll their windows down only because I am from Los Angeles and the drive thru haunts I've been to mentions to wear a mask if you roll your windows down. Due to hard times, it is a blessing to have a drive thru haunt to get into the Halloween spirit! Anyway, I give major props to the scareactors that were involved in the drive thru haunt! I went the day before Halloween with my brother-in-law and my husband as I am visiting family in town. We wanted to do something Halloween-ish and found this gem. I am glad we went! I went to two drive through haunts in LA and one in San Diego and the San Diego one and this haunt were the best ones! Although I do give this one major thumbs up! (More than the San Diego one actually!) We were scared back to back, had chainsaw guys follow us, Chucky stalking my hubby in the passenger seat, scary clowns, you name it! The website didn't give much information and there are no You Tube videos in this so we were surprised. This small town haunt is pretty epic (the drive thru)! We didn't do the others that were available due to the pandemic but the drive thru was very entertaining. We loved it! It was cheap ($25 per car) and lasted around 10 minutes. I wouldn't mind flying to Michigan to do this around Halloween! This haunt is on top of my list next to Universal Halloween Horror Nights and Knott's Scary Farm! TIP: Get there early! The line of cars can get VERY long the later you go!

(2) Once inside the building, there was another line to the line. (3) When we got to the top of the line, staff stated that it was another line that we needed to wait. It was going to be about 3 hours long. (4) When we asked the staff why there was no communication since they'll be closed if we get in. The staff stated, "I don't know. I only work here." (5) the line outside was only to get to the building and not the actually line for the attraction. There was no other line to distinguish if you're in line for tickets or in line for the attraction. We spoke to several staff and they couldn't help either. We were told that VIP tickets were "sold out." (You can still buy online but not in person because they didn't think about closing that option.) They wouldn't give a refund. They stated that we could come back another time like Thursday or Sunday. Their excuse for bad service is "it's because it's a Saturday night." I would steer clear of this location. They only want money and do not care about giving great experiences at all. They acknowledge how it's a problem to mash "buying tickets" and "tickets purchased" into one whole line to get into the building. Again, horrible experience.
