My lower back pain had been making it impossible for me to walk longer than a few minutes at a time without pain sneaking up on me and then having to stop (that was at approximately the 4 or 5 minute mark). I had almost stopped exercising altogether because I was scared of making the pain even worse. In visiting Lowery Chiropractic, my hope was to be able to somehow lessen the pain, so that I could walk and do exercise again. Immediately, from the first visit, Dr. Lowery began treating my lower back pain. After that first treatment, I felt relief. I turned left and right, and it felt "looser" in my lower back, rather than constricted and painful. Then I got home, and I tried walking. Something had changed for the better. I'm now pretty hopeful about this, and will be continuing to get treatment so that I can exercise regularly and get back in shape again.

The ladies have such a system that after paperwork, then xrays , then wobble work, there's an additional step of traction but we did not need that step today. Then the alignment. The people at my gym highly recommended Michael at JMC. So when I thought I had a stress fracture…read morein my right foot (couldn't put weight on it), I went to him before seeing a doctor. His wife (front desk) and he both said he could fix it. She told me she was glad I didn't go to the doctor and went to them instead. They put me down as self-pay, and I paid $40. I thought it was a little strange because I have good insurance, and my copay for a specialist is $25. When I asked, they said it'd be $40 under insurance anyway so it's easier to run as self-pay. He bent my foot a few times and determined it wasn't broken. In assessing me, he kept looking at my left side even though it was my right foot that was causing the issue. After doing some "work" on me--bending my foot all around, smashing my calves, and balancing my pelvis--he said my foot wasn't broken and I could return to exercise unlimited that day. He sent me home with some mobility exercises for my glutes and hamstrings and advised me to not take ibuprofen or ice my foot. While I was excited to return to the gym, I felt like something wasn't right. I went to the gym the next morning and by noon that day, the pain had returned two-fold. I called Michael and, after asking questions, got him on the phone. I said, "I want to make sure I shouldn't go to the doctor because I am in a lot of pain." He said there was no need and to just come back in. I decided to go with my gut and did not return because I honestly felt like he made my foot worse and gave me bad advice. Turns out, after an MRI, I had very bad tendinitis in my foot. The orthopedic doctor put me in a boot for 3 weeks with ibuprofen and limited exercise.
