If you are looking to come to the Cherokee Nation, stay here and step back in time and absorb its charm. Monica is the manager, the cook, the groundskeeper, the cleaning crew, the server, she is an awesome human. I don't know how she does it all. She's just as charming as the house. The house was tidy and clean...so clean. The Blue Fern puts any hotel chain to shame, they could learn a thing or two from Monica about hospitality and professionalism. Her breakfast was yummy and the coffee cake was tasty. They are in the process of trying to sell the Blue Fern and retire, but in the meantime, they gotta keep the lights on, stay here if you're going to Tahlequah. Thank you, Monica for the great memory!

What a beguiling mix of eccentricity and sharp esthetic sensibility. The details can be odd, but…read morethey are all clearly connected by the couple's personalities. My room (Middle Eastern) was bright and comfortable. Last night, I appeared to be alone in the place, with its proximity to potentially menacing dolls in a crib (and deep, looming shadows down the entryway). Things might well have gotten spooky (and if I had the $$ and a production crew, this would be an amazing location for an indie-horror flick!) Instead, because the vibe was so clean and the aura so well-manicured, it was a perfectly tranquil, restful evening.

This place is clean and has decent electricity, cute, and history appropriate, but the themed rooms are cool. The only problem me and other guests had was you had to let yourself in with a code at night, no onsite staff, and the door lock was quirky. The drapes were hung so beautiful and the black chandelier is gorgeous. My favorite part is the bathroom. It has pink floral wallpaper and it's so quaint. The whole room was filled with such detail and intention. Michael is such a wonderful cook. There were homemade scones and cinnamon rolls served with eggs, bacon or sausage and they also had little parfaits. I had to have everything because it smells so delicious! Totally worth it to stretch my waistline. Joana mentioned they plan to open a bed and breakfast in France! With the wonderful couple hosting, you know I'll be there! Learning about the history of the Victoria from Joana was surprising! I'll leave yall with a cliffhanger so you can go and check it out or go back and hear about it from Joana or Michael.

The B and B itself was welcoming, tastily decorated, cozy and comfortable. The pool and hot tub looked inviting although we didn't have time to try either. Breakfast order was cooked as requested and yummy. I am sorry we were able to spend more time, not only in the area, but at The Victoria. It takes a special couple to own and manage a B and B and Michael and Joana have it mastered to a fine art! I…read moreagree with the other reviewers that the house is attractively done, clean, comfortable and conveniently located. We too found that the owners were gracious hosts and the breakfast was delicious. I want to add two thoughts. First, the neighborhood was very quiet with lots of well kept and interestingly landscaped old houses, and it was a safe pleasant walk to Crystal Bridges and downtown. Second, if you wanted to drive to Bentonville with a friend who didn't want to go to Crystal Bridges, your friend would be just fine hanging around Laughlin House watching movies on their nice TVs, reading, or sitting (at least in the Spring) in their garden while you visit the museum.
