The shampooing is always my favorite part-- prepare yourself for the best scalp massage you've ever had & the hot towel thing is so nice. I just love it. Don't fear about color going wrong at TERRAbacio. I recently took the plunge & colored my hair bright red. Sadly, it faded pretty quickly from my hair & didn't take as well as I'd liked it to (unfortunately, common with my hair anyway). Horrible. I've been forced to reschedule appointments several times and trying to get in for 2 months because every time they reschedule me they call the day of and cancel due to COVID. If you're getting COVID that often, I don't want to go there. Stay away from them unless you never want to get an appointment or be exposed to COVID. Just poor operations all together. read more

I had a cut and color scheduled and when I got there at my appointment time, the doors were still locked. The front office staff arrived about 15 minutes after the store was supposed to open. I was in a hurry and decided to just get the color and not the cut. I asked the front desk employee to cancel my cut and I specifically asked her to take out the gloss treatment they always try to sell me. when I checked out they had charged me for the gloss. I did not know that they had applied the gloss. Evidently the stylist had applied it when he was washing out my color but did not discuss this with me. When I discussed this with the staff checking me out she told me this was my fault for not telling the stylist. My point was that I didn't know he was applying it so how would I know to tell the stylist? I didn't tell him I didn't want the cut and he didn't attempt to cut my hair. Also they charge me an extra $40 for a blow dry that left my hair still damp without any styling. I am very disappointed with this experience. Mostly though, I am disappointed in how the front desk staff yelled at me and was very rude. read more

I came in yesterday, 9/29/2021, as a walk-in in hopes of having a terrible cut that I had received at another Salon fixed. From the moment I arrived, I was treated by the staff with a sincere kindness and desire to help that I have never received at ANY other salon I have ever visited in my life! The staff worked together to find a way to get me in quickly and I had the honor of having Alyssa as my stylist. Alyssa is AMAZING and she did a fabulous job fixing the terrible cut that I came in with. The team work displayed by the staff was astounding and such a welcome change from other salons that have a lot of drama and gossiping. The young gal who did my shampoo (I'm so sorry that I don't remember her name) was also amazing with giving me the BEST shampoo that I've ever had as well as being so sweet and telling me how highly skilled a stylist Alyssa is as she shampooed me. You have an amazing team at Terrabacio and I will be a lifetime customer! I called today, 2/16/22 to get a price on a haircut. I told the lady I spoke to I want to get a Bob haircut. She said it would be $49, even though the website says $39+ for women. She then added it also depends on the experience of the hairstylist. Even when she quoted me the price of $49, it still sounded iffy. The prices on the website are also listed for children and men. She stammered when giving me this information. I decided not to make an appointment, since I may end up paying $100.00 for such a simple haircut style. I am from IL, and even with the hair salons on Michigan Avenue, they can quote you an exact price. read more

I went here today due to a hair emergency. I tried to give myself highlights at home, and large strands of my hair ended up turning grey! My stylist's name was Justin. He absolutely perfected my hair. I am going on vacation tomorrow and was terrified that my hair would stay grey, but Justin was able to take out all of the grey by shampooing it and stripping the grey color. He is wonderful! I am SO thankful for Terra Bacio. My hair is now perfect. I would highly recommend this salon; the staff/stylists are professional, friendly, and they get the job done. Went here for an updo, and it was beautiful! I have fine and oily hair so I was afriad that it won't hold up for the day; but it did! Went in for a consultation 2-3 days before and she told me to do some prep-work, which was a pain but I didn't mind because I think it helped the hair to hold it's shape. My stylist was friendly, nice and knows what she was doing. It wasn't a fancy or hard up do (curled hair on side, gave some volume to the tap and clipped some hair pieces), but I think she did a great job regardless. What took off a star for me is that I booked with another stylist, who many people recommended her). When I went in for the consultation, I was told that she had quit and they had rebook me with this new stylist. Wished an advance heads-up would've been great because I was already stressful to begin with. In the end, it worked out well. Salon - clean and tidy although very boxy and separate off. The stylists chairs are lined on the right side, semi-walled off. The wash stations are on the left (with mani and pedi stations if I remember correctly). The massage therapy is upstairs, which I didn't see. Overall, I will return and hopefully become a regular to actually have a "stylist"... I've been looking for awhile but unsuccessful... read more

I live out of town but travel to Huntsville to see family on a regular basis. Everytime I visit, I go to Terra Bacio for a haircut! The best stylist is definitely Mallory. She has cut my hair several times and each time it is absolutely perfect! I only wish she lived in my town so I could see her regularly. If you are looking for a new stylist or just want to try this salon out, you should book her. The front desk people are very helpful and polite. You are greeted by a big smile as soon as you walk in and offered a complimentary beverage! The wait time is short and the whole place is very relaxing. Came back again to get it fixed a day later and he still charged me for full service I was stunned. Called the manager and basically told me it was my fault and would give me my money back for the second service, won't give me complementary color or anything. I just recently got my hair done by Daniel and absolutely love it, He has a ton of experience and knows exactly what your hair needs to bring it back to life, and Aveda color is the BEST! I also received a fantastic facial from one of their estheticians, Jordanna. She made sure I received the full Aveda experience. I also got a plant peel which was wonderful! this is a warming mask that deeply exfoliates the skin, helps smooth lines and wrinkles, and it has the same results as a 30% glycolic peel without the redness, sensitivity or irritation! After hearing rave reviews about this place, I called and made an appointment so I can finally have a local trusted salon for my tresses. I was literally on my drive over to the salon, five minutes from parking, when the salon called saying my appointment was changed to 5pm. They claimed they had some computer error and overbooked or something to that effect. No respectable business calls a client less than 15 minutes from an appointment to notify a customer; and even if that is the case, they don't do it without offering some kind of incentive; be it a complimentary hair treatment, or partial payment, etc. Truly disappointing because once I find a place, I'm loyal to it; my last salon had my business for a solid seven years until I relocated out of the area. Guess I'll have to keep looking for a reputable salon. read more

Daniel did an excellent job with my hair! The color is exsquisite and better than I could have imagined. The whole salon staff was great. I felt very welcomed and comfortable there. The products smell amazing and left my hair feeling so soft and movable. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because it's pretty expensive. I absolutely loved the outcome but it hurt to spend that much on my hair. I'll be back though and hopefully maintenance will be a more wallet friendly! read more

I noticed Terra Bacio was an aveda salon and decided to make an appointment for a haircut and color. The front staff was very nice and professional, they were able to fit me in right away with Keyona. She is very sweet and will give you an honest opinion while also keeping your thoughts and feelings in mind.
