Sweet young teen server but obviously she had never been trained. A very timid personality, forgot several items twice, and then didn't even bring the check, and act surprised when we went and found her and ask for it. People need to be trained. read more

It's hard to believe that they could care less about providing good service. Ordered food to go, quoted an hour (which is ridiculous for Italian food in Clinton) for pick up and 1 hour and 45 minutes later they finally provide the order to us with no remorse. Save your money. Walked in to get carry out, took 45 minutes. The staff was more interested in hanging out and playing on their phones than waiting on people. The staff seemed put out the entire time. My son's burger was good, and my wife's pin wheels were good, but all over priced. I had to check the order and my veal parmasean did't have the pasta with it, had to ask for the salad. Horrible service, overpriced food, go elsewhere. read more

This is a long time, family run, Clinton favorite. The dining area is nonsmoking (at least no one was smoking in the dining are last time I was here) and the bar area is smoking. The food is great and the menu seems to get bigger every time I come here. I wish I could recommend something, but its all good. I grew up on their pizzas and the pasta villa with shrimp is always my default if I can't decide what to order. In the last several years, their night bar crowd has grown and now offers entertainment on several weekend. Just beware that all clothes will need a thorough washing when you leave as it gets very smoky, especially on weekends. If you live in Clinton, there is no need to read these reviews, if you are just visiting - the Terra Villa is a must do for dinner! read more

Have been coming here since it opened in 1976! It is not the best Italian food I have ever eaten but I like their sweet red sauce and love the veal! Last night they were short staffed and the young male waitstaff had the entire dining room to wait on! He was swamped and forgot things but with what he had to work with I felt bad for him! I know one couple got up to leave and they didn't wait as long as I had to! I am not going to give a bad review because I like the Villa, however, here are some tips: 1. Update that salad bar and get some real bacon for the salads not the fake bacon! Good blue cheese would be great also! 2. Paint the paneling a lighter color. 3. Hire people who when someone is sick and really can't come in, will step up to the plate (or hire someone for just relief) ! 4.Sell bagna as an appetizer...no really, do it! 5. Put wine and beer options on small table menus in the dining room! 6. Table cloths! 7. Sell local wines and beers 8. Get some other dry options besides merlot! Riuniti doesn't count! Lol 9. Expand the menu with a carbonara dish! Food for thought! 10. A charcuterie plate with some volpi and cheeses etc would be a good app to go with that expanding wine list I know you will implement lol! O Overall, I still love the villa for its small town charm and will give 1 for tradition 1 for the veal 1star for the red sauce and the remaining 2 for the young man who needs a bonus for having to do that crap solo last night! A really nice, cozy atmosphere. The staff was friendly but did have to wait for a waitress to come serve us. Big hit for me, left the tea pitcher on the table to refill glasses. That was a big +. The meal was great. Full order means two large pieces of meat which is good if hungry. Overall the meal is great and a nice experience. read more

If you want a great meal for your money this is the place for you. Try the pinwheels as a meal....they make them with either Italian beef, buffalo chicken or ham and cheese. The Italian beef pizza is awesome as is all of the pizza. They have a unique sauce that everybody needs to try at least once. They make a cheeseburger called the Juicy Lucy that is awesome. Jason is always coming up with new meals in the kitchen , so watch for specials and give one a try. Adults should sit in the bar in the cool 50's style booths...and enjoy a huge ice cold beer or a long island ice tea. read more

Terra Villa is actually a very good Italian restaurant. It doesn't look like much from the outsite....well actually it doesn't look like much from the inside, but the food is outstanding! I really cannot comment on the food because we didn't get any. We were the only customers when we got there about 4:20, got our drinks and ordered. At 5:10 we still had not gotten our salads even though they had been carrying food out to curbside service. Paid for our drinks and left will never be back. read more

First impression of this place was not a very good one at all. My wife and one of her friends decided to eat here and she ordered one order of soft bread sticks, fettuccine Alfredo with chicken, A 16 inch cheese pizza with Italian sausage and pepperoni and an order of spaghetti and meatballs. All of that sounds good right?! Well she arrived to pick up her order and after leaving the establishment she realized that she had not recieved the pizza, spaghetti and meatballs and breadsticks so she ran back to get those things and when she got back to her friends house guess what?? There was no alfredo sauce on fettuccine, no breadsticks, no spaghetti and meatballs and the pizza had also had no sauce! Granted this was an hour before they closed but still! I love the food here and the salad bar was my favorite...However there are so many improvements needed in this place...yes it has been here for many years and in my opinion so many things could be done to make the place better...the bathroom for instance need some much needed TLC and the booth seats need replaced BADLY because I felt like I was going to fall in the other day when we were there...the waitress was kind of a ding bat because she kept on forgetting things and was kind of snappy when we had asked for something...there were only a couple of tables there when we got there so no reason to be forgetful...I had the Italian Beef and it became cold while I was waiting for the au jus that I had waited a good 10 minutes for...my daughter had the chicken alfredo and she said it was really good but needed more chicken on it...it was hot in the place as well so definitely needed to turn the air up due to the heat outside being in the 90s and heat index was around 104...the salad bar was about the best part of our visit that day. read more

THey have a very nice salad bar. The appetizer pizza wheels are really tasty. However, my salmon was served cold, but thoroughly cooked since the edges of the salmon were charred and unedible. I do not believe things are made from fresh ingredients. Most of the items are probably derived from cans or other prepackaged items. The spaghetti sauce is not very good. Service can be hit or miss depending on how busy they are. I think the reason this restaurant is a Clinton fav (and still in business) is because it is cheap, family owned and has been in the town a very long time. It is very cheap, which shows in the quality of food served and there are some items on the menu which I heard are good, but I do not eat those items because they are too unhealthy (example, fettucini alfredo). read more

I love this place! My father has been taking us to Terra Villa since they opened in 1976. The spaghetti and meatballs have their own distinctive taste, not like any others, especially the chain restaurant fare. The spaghetti and meatballs comes with salad bar, breadsticks and bread and the price for a full order is around $10-$12. My husband loves their steaks, their smothered sirloin and their salmon steak. We recently ate there (I got the spaghetti and meatballs, my husband got a 14 oz ribeye) and a carryout of spaghetti and meatballs for my mother (who is in a nursing home). The entire meal including drinks, dessert, salad bar, breadsticks and bread and the carryout was around $60 before the tip. It is worth the 45 minute trip from Danville, IL to Clinton, IN (one way) for the quality of the food and service we have received. This is why we continue to go. read more

Born and raised in Clinton, hadn't been to the Terra Villa in over 20 years until a couple of weeks ago. Was so impressed that now we are going at least once a week for lunch. Prices are great and food is better. Haven't had anything that wasn't great yet. Lasagna, Philly Cheese steak, spaghetti, to name a few. Salad bar is limited but the slaw, potato salad and macaroni salad are SO good it makes it worth it and the bread is wonderful! read more

We have gone to Terra Villa Restaurant in Clinton, Indiana, for quite a few years, always having our usual items. For me it is the chicken alfredo and for my husband it is spaghetti and meatballs. This time I decided we would try something new. We ordered the pinwheels only to be told that they are not available because the guy that makes them doesn't come in til after 6 p.m. It was about 4:30. Really? You can't teach anyone one else to make them? I ordered the lasagna and it was horrid. The meat was almost a puree. It reminded me of Chef Boyardee ravioli's. Had that exact same taste. This place was recommended to me and it was easily the biggest waste of $32 I've ever spent. First off let me describe the chicken Parmesan which is usually my absolute favorite. It wasn't even a real chicken breast. It was a processed piece of "chicken", most likely a frozen Tyson chicken patty. The sauce that was added to the top was just ok. The bread appetizer was satisfactory at best. It came with regular sliced bread and the hard long thin breadsticks that are apparently the norm so I guess it served its purpose. The salad bar appetizer was also satisfactory at best. There wasn't really much to choose from but I guess for a salad bar it at least filled it's purpose; salad, dressings, and a few toppings. My wife had Fettuccini Alfredo and she said it was average so her and I switched meals. My children shared a cheeseburger and they didn't really have anything to complain about so I guess that was ok. I've heard this place is in decline and it sure would seem that way. Really seems like they are starting to cut corners which is just sad. Shouldn't be allowed to call themselves authentic Italian. My recommendations? Try something different! read more
