The entire office staff is friendly and they treat you like a real human - not the factory style "parts-is-parts...get-em-in-get-em-out" type medical care. When I was first looking for a primary care office to set up with I initially searched online and called around to various practices to ask questions and figure out which practice might be right for me and my family. Some places I called either didn't want to take the time to answer my questions, didn't know the answers or just didn't seem very friendly/caring. When I called here, the person on the phone was super friendly, didn't make me feel rushed and patiently answered my many questions. I then decided later that day to make an appointment (but at that point it was after hours on a Friday) and was able to do everything online, while they were closed - including scheduling my own appointment - I didn't have to wait for them to reopen after the weekend. It was amazingly convenient and easy to do. I've seen Megan approx 4-5 times now, I love the convenience of self scheduling online and I've never had to wait more than 5 minutes. You can do in-person or online (depending on what you need) and I've done both so far, both were on time and easy to do. If you like the convenience of self scheduling with a tech-forward practice, or you're tired of feeling like a number on an assembly line, or tired of dealing with a doctor who doesn't listen and only spends 5 minutes with you, then absolutely check out this place for care. He talks things out with you and will come up with the best route to take instead of putting you on bunch of medication until finding one that sticks. He will let you switch or change doses if it sounds good to try and get you on the perfect plan. He has always been so kind and seems to really care. I have crazy anxiety. It comes on strong in traffic. So if I'm willing to drive out to his office all the way out in Keller then to have a Doctor here in Fort Worth where they wanted to push every kind of medicine on me or a Doctor that won't give you medication you have known to work and been on for years. Dr Musgrave listened to me without judgment and came up with a plan for me that got me off of too much medication and now I'm off of medication ai didn't need and on the proper meds with the proper does. I'm taking way less medication and feel better then ever. I recommend him to my best friend who is Now a patient of Dr a Musgrave now! And she is a nurse, so she is not naive about Doctors and medication. The office staff is nice which is always nice. And their website has a patient portal that is easy to use and messages and requests are answered is a timely manner and always get a response within a day at most. It's a nice clean Building and most importantly especially since I drive a long distance, I have never had to wait longer than under 10 mins. Usually my name is called in 5 minutes. He was a previous surgery that I had done with a very reputable group in town that went horribly wrong. I cannot recommend him enough, and I wish I would've gone to him initially. As I would not have been in this situation. One of my friends recommended him had a lopsided stomach, and breast Asian, as one of my implants had ruptured. My scars are smaller than what they were initially, and it's a better job than what I had the first time with my prior surgeon. I am trying to find a plastic surgeon for breast reconstruction following breast cancer surgery. I shared my intent and desire to see the doctor. I could tell from the beginning that this was a person who loves saying no. She was rude, condescending and had prejudged that I shouldn't see the doctor. She first tried to tell me to see the surgeon suggested by my oncologist surgeon. I told her I didn't care for his manner or plan for reconstruction and wanted to see Dr. Heistein. At one point well into the convo, she says, "I just don't know what it is you want." I want reconstruction on my breast on which I had surgery for breast cancer. She proceeded, without having even seen me, said that some breasts are just not candidates for reconstruction. Some breasts are mangled and have a big ball of scar tissue and just aren't fixable. She ( a receptionist, not a doctor) said that to me with absolutely no knowledge of my situation. She eventually told me that they take Medicare but not Medicare advantage and so can't help me. I said well, you take Medicare and she told me I would be paying a huge amount out of pocket. Still, she'd never seen me, hadn't precertified me or anything else. It was a horrible experience and I suppose I should be glad not to deal with this person ever again. Dr. Heistein should know how horrible this person is. If he knows and he's ignoring the issue, shame on him. If he doesn't know, someone should tell him how awful she is.
