CONSUMERS BEWARE -- TERRA ENERGY / AMERICAN SOLAR MY RECOMMENDATION: STAY FAR AWAY. This is not a minor customer-service complaint. This is my actual, ongoing experience involving an incomplete solar project, alleged property damage, ongoing roof leaks, and approximately 18 MONTHS of unresolved problems. Terra Energy / American Solar began work at my property, and the project remains INCOMPLETE. I have been left dealing with approximately 12 active roof leaks, continuing damage, unfinished solar work, and a property that I contend was effectively abandoned before the contracted work was completed. What makes this even more outrageous is that the company's CEO acknowledged the property/roof issues in writing more than a year ago, yet I am still fighting to get the damage repaired and the project properly completed. Instead of simply correcting the problems and finishing the work, I have been forced into litigation. Anyone considering doing business with this company should look up the public court record themselves: Osceola County Circuit Court Case No. 2026 CA 000499 CI Read the filings. Look at what is being alleged. Make your own decision. I did not want a lawsuit. I wanted my project completed and my property repaired. Instead, after approximately 18 months, I am still dealing with: ‼ INCOMPLETE SOLAR WORK ‼ APPROXIMATELY 12 ACTIVE ROOF LEAKS ‼ ONGOING PROPERTY DAMAGE ‼ AN UNFINISHED PROJECT ‼ ISSUES THAT I CONTEND WERE ACKNOWLEDGED IN WRITING ‼ CONTINUING LITIGATION JUST TO TRY TO OBTAIN A RESOLUTION And now, rather than simply fixing what I contend they damaged and completing the work, the matter is being heavily litigated through attorneys, objections, motions, and repeated legal opposition. That should tell prospective customers everything they need to know about what can happen when a project goes wrong. Do not be distracted by polished advertising, sales pitches, or marketing gimmicks. Ask yourself what happens AFTER they have your money and something goes seriously wrong. I know what happened to me. I have spent more than a year living with leaks and an unfinished project while trying repeatedly to obtain a resolution. I am now pursuing the matter through the courts and filing the appropriate complaints with the applicable agencies because I refuse to simply walk away from the damage and unfinished work. This post concerns an ACTIVE LAWSUIT, and the allegations are being presented to the court for determination. Everything stated here reflects my firsthand experience, records in my possession, and allegations contained in the pending litigation. I've had a great experience with Terra Energy from start to finish. The entire process went smoothly, beginning with the sales team and the transparency of the agreement. The HOA approval and permitting process moved quickly, and communication throughout the project was excellent. The installation team was professional, experienced, efficient, and very clean. They took pride in their work, and the finished installation looks extremely neat and well done. So far, we've had no issues with the system itself. There was some waiting involved with Duke Energy completing the transfer and a few glitches getting the app up and running, but Terra's customer service team stayed on top of everything and made sure the issues were resolved. A special thank you to my project manager, Mariana. She was always responsive, helpful, and made sure things kept moving in the right direction whenever I had a question or concern. I'm looking forward to seeing the long-term energy savings and especially appreciate the peace of mind that comes with having battery backup power for our home. Daniel P spoke to me very deep about how everything . He took his time not only during the information process but also after. Any questioning and concerns he explained very well. Step by step. Even after the panels were installed he keep asking me how everything is gone. It's being two (2) months already and the panels are doing all the energy they promised me they were supposed to provide. Even though now I have an extra person in the house and is more electricity use, like more laundry and cooking the panels are doing the job. I am only paying $89 for my panels and $34 for Duke. I am really with this outcome. The summer is here and with the heat index outside with 113 degrees, I am extremetly happy with my decision of getting the solar system. i've had the solar panels from Tarra energy for the past two years. I was so tired paying FPNL's yo-yo monthly amount. As a single mom of two children I needed stability. I needed to pay the same amount monthly and that's what I got with the solar panels I live in a gated community and the only other building that was having the solar panels the administrative when I asked for a business card and with my eyes closed I signed the contract and I said let's see how it goes and until now extremely happy with I same amount every month and I don't have to stress out. There was some confusion at the start because I had talked to a solar consultant about solar panel options and she entered me into Terra's systems , then I went online and requested more information about Terra Energy so it took a while to sync up the two contacts. Once we got that straightened out, the whole process went smoothly. They provided a schedule of when to expect each step to happen and were able to improve on that schedule each step of the way. We received a call from Summer, who helped us schedule a meeting with Gabriela. Gabriela was friendly, informative, and super helpful. I thought that this must be too good to be true but the agreement seemed to protect me...so we went for it! Terra's install team was professional and clean, and the panels look great. More importantly, I've gone from paying 400-500 bucks a month for electricity to about 300...total! I'm really glad we went ahead with this. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. Our representative Bernard explained in detail how the process worked. The installers are top notch. Very respectful and cleaned up throughout the install. Once our electric company got out to replace the meter for net metering we were up and running. Terrra Energy has an app that we can see the daily production. And it has reduced our electric bill than the cost of the solar panels so we are saving money and helping the environment. Very pleased! read more

It really does not make sense to do this, I was a bit skeptical at first because it sounded to good to be true but now that I've had my panels installed for a few months and my electric bill has gone down to the minimum connection fee each month without any investment! I just got the install done on my vacation property in Fort Lauderdale. The panels have only been up for a couple of months but I'm already thru the moon with the service.
