I've actually helped to throw a gorgeous wedding here in the heritage buildings a number of years ago, it was challenging but so memorable and I'd highly recommend it if you're willing to do the work and deal with the constraints of the space (when they reopen). But winter here is my favourite. We love to come here cross-country skiing as a family, being on these huge trails and wild edges of the island. It's always breezy here in the summer, even hot days are soothing, the waves are wild and you just feel a release from the heaviness of the city. All the more appreciated during these crazy times.

There is also a large parking lot open year round. It is wonderful during all seasons. During the summer, families come to barbecue and relax, using the bbqs that are at the park. There is a dog park that is great for dog lovers. You can go for a morning jog, play beach volleyball, have a picnic, and more! The possibilities are endless! During the winter, many people come tobogganing, skating and cross country skiing. Year round, there is a public bathroom inside the chalet with water fountains in the same area. It is truly a perfect park for families in the west island who want some green space without driving all the way to Mont Royal.

OMG! WHAT A FIND!…read moreTaking my usual evening bike ride, I stumbled upon this beautiful piece of land called Angel Forest. Probably the most enjoyable bike ride I've done ever since I moved away from Westmount and the magical Mont-Royal in downtown Montreal. Very rugged terrain with many sharp rocks protruding from the very dangerous path I took in mid darkness, FUN! There is also a huge fenced-in dog area where the animals socialize chained up and muzzled. And the dogs do too! (That's a joke) All I know is that at the end of my visit I came out of the forest passed an abandoned railway that ends up nowhere, surrounded by factories and the smell of white bread being manufactured. Where the heck am I? Kept riding all the way to the highway (40) where I saw the Linguini restaurant and thought wow! Let's eat! I will definitely be back to this wonderful area.

We went early in the morning, but can assure you that this place gets busy very fast. The principal attraction is the zipline, which makes this park truly unique. Make your way to the treehouse, going on the suspended bridges, spider webs and ladders. Lots of other features to ensure that kids of all ages will not get bored, and plenty of places to sit or even have a bite to eat. Very well designed and plenty of space. Just be mindful to stay off areas where there are warning signs about poison ivy.

Lots and lots of bugs! The playground was cute and looked like it could entertain a kid for a few hours! There was some water toys that would have been a ton of fun on hot summer days. There is bike shop at the trail head that you can rent a bike from. The trail is well maintained with a number of people on it. Not sure if it's well lit late in the evening and night as I did this loop in the afternoon.

Nice spot to go cross country skiing or for a walk in the woods, but not spectacular, there are…read moreprettier waterfront areas not at all far away (e.g. Hudson) and more fun cross country ski trails in the city (Mount Royal.) If you are looking for a small green adventure on the island, sure why not, but I wouldn't hugely highly recommend it. We parked and followed the arrows that suggested we'd see water. We ended up crossing under a highway on our nature walk, getting led in a loop that pointed back to the parking, walked past 2 Germans laughing at us for getting duped by the same path as they had followed... but we had keen eyes and spotted another entrance into the forest, so we crossed a busy suburban street that feeds the highway and did find the water we'd been promised by the many signs, and though the sun was just setting on the islands and the river and it was pretty, the highway was still in sight, the roar never quiet.
