This charming spot had everything you need! A pool, firepit, relaxing 'stations' like hammocks. You can walk to the beach, they supply chairs and a cart. There are bikes to ride and maps. The breakfasts are fantastic! And the owners really fun to chat with and get exploring advice. Nice rooms and comfortable beds. We highly recommend this place and will hopefully return soon!

From the moment we arrived, gracious hosts Shawn and Sharon made us feel right at home. Their warmth and hospitality set the perfect tone for our stay. It felt like we were staying with good friends. The grounds are absolutely stunning--beautiful gardens, winding paths, and a huge outdoor space that invites you to explore. We especially loved the charming chickens roaming about, adding a touch of whimsy to the setting. There's also a huge sparkling pool, an inviting outdoor gazebo, and a cozy fire pit that is perfect for relaxing and enjoying the evenings! Our room was beautifully clean and quaintly decorated, complete with a cozy fireplace that made for a perfect evening retreat. The bed was insanely comfortable with high end linens. Every detail was thoughtfully arranged, creating a serene atmosphere. Shawn and Sharon have truly thought of everything you might need in terms of amenities. You feel like you are at home. We had a bottle opener and wine glasses and even a mini fridge for our leftovers. Having shampoo, conditioner, body wash and lotion in the room is such a considerate touch! The shower pressure was great and the hot water was abundant. There were always plenty of fluffy towels to use too. Additionally, the fully stocked guest area was a lovely touch. From freshly baked snacks to beverages, games, ice and utensils, it felt like a home away from home, allowing us to relax and unwind at our leisure. They even have bikes for exploring the Cape Cod Rail Trail, complete with helmets! The multi-course breakfast, which will have you full until dinner, was freshly made using eggs from the roaming chickens! Each morning brought a new culinary delight, featuring fresh ingredients that were simply delicious. It was a wonderful way to start the day. The homemade lemon tart, corn muffins and chocolate cookies were heavenly! I They happily accommodate any dietary preferences. Shawn & Sharon are the consummate hosts and were incredibly helpful, offering great suggestions for local places to see, things to do, and restaurants to try. Their insights truly enhanced our experience and made exploring the area even more enjoyable. They have mastered the art of hospitality, ensuring that we felt welcomed, comfortable, and well cared for. Overall, we highly recommend The Platinum Pebble Inn. If you're looking for an amazing getaway with stunning grounds, delightful hosts, and exquisite dining, this is the place for you. We can't wait to return! Thank you Shawn and Sharon! Hope to see you very soon!

Our stay at the Lighthouse Inn was deeply disappointing and did not reflect the price or reputation…read moreof the property. The biggest issue was that overnight guests seemed to come second to restaurant traffic and event business. The property frequently felt crowded and chaotic, and it appeared that management's priority was attracting outside visitors rather than providing a quality experience for hotel guests. Grounds maintenance was inconsistent throughout our stay. Wedding ceremony chairs remained on the lawns long after events, outdoor seating areas were often unkempt, and cups, straws, and other trash frequently remained around the bar and common areas despite staff constantly being visible around the property. The private beach was another major disappointment. It was poorly maintained, and during much of our stay it functioned more like a private boat launch for one particularly disruptive family than a relaxing beach for hotel guests. Their boats occupied much of the area, and staff never appeared to intervene. The advertised beach chairs and umbrellas were nowhere to be found. The only seating available consisted of worn, dilapidated pool loungers. Because of this, we ultimately chose to use the public beach instead, bringing our own chairs and equipment. We also ordered food from the pool during our stay, after which members of our group developed significant gastrointestinal illness consistent with food poisoning or foodborne illness. While we cannot definitively identify the cause, the timing of our symptoms made the pool food a serious concern. Another guest experience issue was the lack of oversight in common areas. One particularly large family seemed to dominate staff attention throughout our stay and even decorated common areas with pirate flags, creating an unusual atmosphere for everyone else while management appeared unconcerned. I have worked in hospitality for more than twenty years and currently oversee operations for a large property with guest accommodations, events, and food and beverage service. I understand staffing challenges and the realities of running a busy property. However, the fundamentals of hospitality were simply missing here. Staff often appeared rushed, poorly groomed, and disengaged. The property felt like "lipstick on a pig"--cosmetic improvements while the guest experience was neglected. Repainting buildings during peak season while housekeeping and guest services appeared understaffed seemed like a poor use of resources. Whether those painters were employees or outside contractors, the focus appeared to be on appearances rather than guest satisfaction. Management's response afterward was equally disappointing. I never received a phone call or email following our complaints. My sister received a single email that was dismissive and accused us of exaggerating because my 8- and 10-year-old daughters seemed to have enjoyed themselves. Children can enjoy parts of a vacation while adults are simultaneously dealing with poor accommodations, broken promises, and inadequate service. Suggesting otherwise was unprofessional. The only positives were the genuinely kind front desk staff and the property's convenient location. Overall, this stay was not worth the money, management failed to address legitimate concerns, and even the promised refund from our first night's restaurant experience was never honored. I would not return and cannot recommend the Lighthouse Inn in its current state.
