The cottage was very clean. It's also close to a Main Street that has little shops and some restaurants but not far from other places in town. We spent the week here in the Beach House and it was paradise. Our own patio, steps onto the beach with a breathtaking view was just what the doctor ordered. We were greeted warmly and brought to our room upon arrival and were on the beach lounging within minutes. The owner, Peter, was always around working on something! It is super clear he loves what he does and cares deeply about his guests. He gave us some great recommendations for eateries (devils purse brewery being my favorite!) and always was incredibly friendly and easy to talk to. Each morning from 8-10 they serve a nice continental breakfast. My husband and I were go each morning, eat and then take a nice long walk on the beach with our coffee. The private beach already has chairs and umbrellas so no need to bring your own, they set them up each morning and take them down each evening. The inn is also within walking distance to many great shops/restaurants. We went to many of them! The kite shop was super cool and we were able to grab souvenirs for the littles back home. After dinner, come back to the inn for a fire on the patio! I very much hope to return here. I am so thankful we found this and splurged for the beach house room! So allegedly we got the wedding room block rate, and only charge us for poolside, well next morning went to turn the keys in for the new room keys and they need the charge card because we're changing rooms, I tried to tell manager mike the situation about the reservation being messed and why we needed the new room we already paid the deposit in March and the remainder when we checked in so it was already paid for and we thought there was discount for the wedding. His response "we don't offer discounts, you are getting upgraded, and we need to have the charge and you people shouldn't be coming at me like this I don't know what you people are talking about. But you can check out if you want" well we are there for a wedding and he knew it and every place requires minimum 2 nights. So we gave the clerk the card so we could get the keys they said they would not charge the card. Check and yup they charged the card again so watch the shaddy business practices and as for the accommodations not worth the money they are charging IMO. Place has not been updated since 1970' or early 80's

NO coffeemaker or water in the room! The breakfast/snack shop was not open. Front desk person, (basically useless for info) knew nothing about when they would or would not be open. Nice fire pit, IF it had worked. Maintenance person could not get it working. No chairs or loungers on the beach....I would not have stayed on the beach anyway because it was in terrible condition, red sea weed and smelly! There is not variety of restaurants near by. There is a $$$$$ restaurant adjacent but reservations are needed. Maybe this is a "resort" property in-season, but I was there only 2 weeks after labor day.

The pool was warm, and staff were all smiles. Teddy was my fave! She's the bomb. We celebrated our 27th anniversary here, and the team went the extra mile with rose petals in the room--a heartfelt surprise that made the stay feel extra special. The room was spacious, clean, and came equipped with a microwave and fridge--perfect for beach-day leftovers. The shower was spotless, the parking lot had plenty of space, and the location is pure gold. Now the pool... that's my only complaint. It was so nice, I hated leaving it. Seriously, it's relaxation personified. And the staff? Beyond courteous--these folks are customer-centric pros who know how to deliver a memorable stay. You're steps from three great restaurants, just three blocks from the beach, and an easy hour's drive to Provincetown. It's got that hipster-chic vibe with real Cape Cod soul. If you're looking for a chill, upgraded, noise-canceling, poolaxing experience--this is the spot. Tell them this freakin' vegan from NYC sent you. This place is underrated and slept on--pun fully intended. --- Boomsauce Scale: B - basura (trash) BS - basic (come on! Try harder) BS + - better (Yo! That's better) BS ++ - best (alright! Alright! You can park at the Inn and walk to the beach to prevent having to pay the $20 parking fee at the beach. You can really see that the owners take pride in ensuring that your stay is perfect. Upon check in, you are greeted by the owner (her name is escaping me), but she is so sweet and explains everything thoroughly - even offered to give us some restaurant recommendations! The room itself seemed to be meticulously cleaned and freshly decorated. It was simple, no frills, but perfect for a short stay. The bed was comfy and pillows were perfect. You can use the rocking chairs on the patio outside to sit and relax. The beach that is nearby is Earle Rd Beach. It's not the type of beach I'm personally used to as it's located on the Bay instead of the Ocean. There are very few waves so it's ideal for kids to swim in. The beach is clean and there is a bathroom located in the parking lot which is always a plus.

It has a great location steps to the beach (about 250 according to the innkeeper), a pool, a newly obtained liquor license so you can purchase drinks, and a friendly staff. It all made for a pleasant place to stay. The included continental breakfast was very nice - it is limited to 8am to 9:30am. A nice selection of yogurts, cereals, bread items, fruit, hard boiled eggs, juice. Also has one of those press a button, get a pancake machine. A couple of toasters, but they toast slowly. Fresh coffee is available at 7am, and Keurig machine is located in the lobby. The grounds are well maintained with beautiful flowers and greenery out front. The rooms all have chairs so you can sit outside with a pool in the center of property. A good idea for the Commodore would be to install a clothes drying rack in front of the rooms since everyone uses the chairs to hang wet bathing suits, towels, etc.. could make things more convenient and look neater. The rooms were nicely updated. The bathroom in our room (125) was very small, but luckily the sink is outside. The toilet/bathtub area's door barely clears the toilet so it feels a bit small - especially if its more than 2 in a room. The in the wall AC worked well, and the white noise it generates help to block outside noise. There was an issue about drinking your own alcohol you brought in since they now have a liquor license. There was sign in the room that your own alcohol could not be consumed anywhere on the grounds. I never heard of this before, but Massachusetts has strange liquor laws so something you may want to keep in mind. I like they have free to borrow beach chairs and beach carts for bringing stuff to the beach - so no need to pay the $20 parking fee to bring a car to the super close beach. Shuffleboard and cornhole games are on the grounds. Harwich is a nice, family friendly town with some nice places to eat nearby, or a short drive to other parts of the Cape. A good place to stay especially if beach accessibility is your thing!
