I paid him in full for the jobs he bid me and by the end I received a bill from Meeks because he did not pay for all of the material and stuck me with that bill even though I had already paid him for the material he just kept the cash instead of paying for all of the material. Along with that as soon as I noticed what he did I told him I was not going to pay anything extra, and that he just needed to finish what jobs I had already paid him in full for, but instead he just packed up and left not even starting the jobs I had already paid him for totaling $2845. As it turns out this is how he operates. I found him on Missouri case net after he robbed me and found out he is currently pending felony charges for possession of stolen property so this is just how he operates I guess. They took us from start to finish on every stage of putting in a Safe Step Walk In Tub. They worked so hard, asked nothing of us, and took only two breaks in 10 hours, each day. You can trust them. You can utterly trust them. They are real people. They are not out to scope vulnerable people. We bought a new toilet before they arrived, because Safe Step assured used it would be no prob to exchange new for old during remodel. When they tore out the 40 year old john, they put it on the porch for my mom to see and gave hilarious suggestions for using it as a flower pot. If you want real, honest opinions about renovating, Safe Step or not, Todd and Monty (Pinky and the Brain), are the ones you want to deal with. Good guys, plenty of work ethic.

We were told repeatedly "oh don't worry about it we aren't allowed to charge more than what your insurance company pays". And lo and behold when we got our final invoice it was a big surprise and there were several items that had to be deducted because they were erroneously added. Several errors made on the invoice that they readily admitted to and deducted hiwever at the end of the day we were still left with a "big surprise" over and above what our insurance paid. So don't believe anything they say when it comes to the accounting end. INSIST that you have an invoice after every single thing they do for you!
