I chose Terminix because my experience with the company in Virginia was great. Actually had 3 separate, costly contracts, generally no issue with those products. Have a maintenance contract for pests, technician usually visits on the day the text says, mostly when I'm not there. However, just try and reach the technician, supervisor or anyone that isn't a call center in Texas. even then, the "back with you in 2 business days" means the "check's in the mail" from my younger self. I have left messages, sent online email, used the chat feature and no response to reach the technician. Even the phone number on their business card. If you value a discussion with the actual company, I don't know how to reach them. Their physical address is only a front for staging vehicles as they are no longer customer facing, their words. So if you reach anyone in the Fort Myers Office, ask them to review messages from LaBelle. And don't think you can stop automatic billing via your website account, you must do that with their account retention people. Good luck. read more

DISHONEST and FORGET ABOUT contacting ANYONE at the local office. You will ALWAYS be redirected to the national number where they'll want to confirm your name, phone, address, and account TWO or THREE times before you actually get helped. Also, the Ft. Myers Office will defraud you out of your service. I was outside working on my boat all morning/afternoon. "Ismael" was supposed to come service the bait stations for termites between 10am and noon. At TWO THIRTY, Ismael says he was on my property for 20 minutes and logged the report that he was. He was never there, unless he's invisible or parachuted. I call him that day. He doesn't return my call. I email him and cc his supervisor. The email to the supervisor bounces and Ismael doesn't reply. I call the main number, and after being transferred twice and interrogated 3 times about my account info, I cancel the termite service, in spite of their offer to reduce the price 40% (that's how frustrating this is). A week later, I receive a report saying "Chris" was at my house and serviced the bait stations, and I owe $65. I call the local office, ring through to the national number, request to speak to Joe N., the manager AT FORT MYERS, get someone ELSE at the national number who, after asking me a bunch of questions, transfers me to a THIRD person at the national number, who makes it VERY DIFFICULT to rest assured that my service was cancelled and why I have a bill. SO, I cancelled the entire service. You stole from me. You refuse to put me in touch with the accountable parties or their supervisors. In that case, I don't want to do business with you, and you don't deserve my money. I hope this review costs you 1000x more than the time and money you cost me. Hurricane Ian and the BRANCH cancelled my acct WITHOUT NOTIFYING ME!!! now I have black ants and who knows...roaches or...termites what else??? I called and they verified branch cancelled not me....who does that...I paid the bill...read the reviews...no one is happy with this company. A technician showed up at our security gate and convinced the guard they were coming to my address. Only problem I don't use them and never have and after today, I never will. The guard registered them to me. I called the guard and she admitted they didn't verify my name, only my address. I called the company and they refused to tell me why they used my address or tell me where there intended location was. I think they are a bit disorganized, certainly unprofessional and we don't need them here. The receptionist added "have a nice day" in a sarcastic tone. I have a termite and pest control bundle with them. Today was my annual (only once a year) inspection of the termite bait traps. I have 15 traps around my property. i specifically asked to be here so set up an appointment. The technician showed up 90 minutes early, I was in the shower. By the time I threw clothes on, he was gone, literally 5 minutes. who can check 15 traps in 5 minutes?? His report showed that he checked 0 traps. But a text said he found some termites in a few of them. when I confronted him by text as to how he could have checked all 15 in 5 minutes and then not show it on the report, he was offended and stopped all communication. I tried calling the local manager but no one answered or returned my phone call. so disappointing. And to top it all off, they send you a notice of renewal on a postcard with shiny pictures that most people throw away. I'm not even sure I can get out of this contract, if I even have one. read more

I have travelled the world, but I have never seen anywhere so many roaches in my entire life as I have seen in Fort Myers. At first, I used to scream and get noxious, then began to get used, then I started naming them for no matter what I sprayed they lived! I ended up purchasing a plan. The first visit, Terminix, manage to kill the infestation, but two weeks later many tiny ones were running around. The good thing about Terminix, it comes with guarantee! I called and was able to secure fast appointment after the working hours. Brian came to my rescue. He came on time. It was fascinating to get an education from him on the types of the roaches and a way to prevent the next infestations, on what they liked and disliked. I came from big and clean cities, and knew nothing about them. He took his time moving all my stuff around the kitchen, meticulously spraying in the tiny cracks and areas.... He truly cared to make the home a healthy and sanitary. Thank you Brian from Terminix for an excellent and professional job. My money were well spent! read more

Will, their termite inspector/salesperson came over, and within 5 minutes began bashing the president and telling me that I don't understand tax code. Odd choice of sales techniques but ok. Don't bother with this terrible company. I had my Home tented and then purchased their Annual termite protection warranty for 275.00. What a total waste of money. They show up whenever they want to for inspection, usually, right before your annual plan expires (and billing), usually walk around your house and leave you a notification card that they came. The technician took just one or two minutes to inspect my exterior perimeter & then took off. What a waste of money! read more

Worst company EVER, they will take your money and when is a problem on they're end or a mistake on they're part they will tell you the generic script " sorry for any inconvenience but we will get back with you in 3-5 business day " , but by then is to late. There is no communication between the call center notes , branch manager/supervisor notes .They will tell you 1 thing and the next day is something else. Lost money and days off with this company whit no fault on my end but I'm paying the price. Had a guy come out today to do a termite inspection as I had seen evidence of them. I had already had ORKIN and Hulett out before and saw what they did. This guy came in to do an inspection and stated that his flashlight was burned out. So.....he did not really do much of an inspection. Who comes out to do an inspection and does not have a flashlight or at least a spare in the car? I knew in the first 3 minutes that I would not be hiring this company! For over $900 I would think they at least come prepared with a flashlight. read more

When I bought my house I transferred the warranty from the previous owner who had it tented. They had someone come to do an inspection, sold me other services, and never transferred the warranty, which I only discovered months later. The story goes on and on, repeated requests for documentation and promises to send it. Sometimes they said they didn't have a record of it. I finally went to their office and the sales manager shrugged and said it happens. He refused to acknowledge their shortcoming and would not give me his card, even when his colleague suggested it. The service guys who come to the house are great but their administrative processes and sales are a nightmare. I would never ever have them if it weren't for continuation of the tenting warranty. One star is probably being kind. I signed a contract with them to have them tent my home. I had all sorts of issues, could not get my car out of garage for 3 days when I told I would be able to, had to pay for hotel night and clothing, and they broke my thermostat when they turned off the A/C. I asked for some sort of financial credit and was told they couldn't do that since I signed the agreement and had 3 days to back out of it. Although, all of the bad stuff happened well after the contract was signed. Terrible company to work with. read more

Our condo association had been paying Terminix for many years for a termite bond. Renewal due in June. Terminix sent an invoice to property management company 3 months early. Unfortunately management company paid. Terminix then sent a tech to inspect our condos. He spent about 5 minutes and only entered one of our three buildings. Told Terminix we were cancelling the service. We were already paid through June so asked for refund of the early payment. Terminix says no, they have already inspected the building. A 5 minute inspection cost us $1890!! We are done with them! read more

Really bad service. Our first service was great. We scheduled a follow-up 7 days later; however, the technician did not show up. The technician showed up days later when we weren't home. We kept playing phone tag with the last call unreturned by the technician. I then requested an appointment through the corporate website. After two weeks, I received an apology email with a note the request for a follow up email was sent to the local office. Again, two weeks past than the technician showed up at our door unannounced. We called and cancelled our service and have switched to another company with better service. read more

Dan was the employee who exterminated my house when it was flea infested! My poor 2 cats have been sick and miserable over the fleas so I called Terminix after finding them online. They were able to come the next day. I can't remember the name of the sales associate I scheduled it with on the phone, but he was extremely personable, funny, and helpful. He notified me that he stopped the recording while I gave my debit card information over the phone, which I really appreciated and respected. He and Dan both assured me numerous times that the infestation would absolutely be 100% gone, and it is! They said several times that "their goal is to get rid of 100% of the problem, not only 70%". Also said they'd return for free in 10-30 days to do another inspection just to be sure. My cats would never even walk on the carpet because of the fleas, but only 2 or 3 days later they were rolling around again and stopped itching! In my opinion - they pulled a bait and switch - 2 Terminix reps knocked at my front door and said they will help me get rid of the spiders in my pool cage if i signed up with their service. Not only that they said that if the spiders came back i could simply call the office and they would have a tech come out for no charge and get rid of the spiders - well nice sales pitch - they came and did their first service - knocked down the spider etc. a few weeks later - wala the spiders where back - i call back the tech that personally promised he would stop by anytime to knock down the spiders - called left 2 separate message - no tech called or showed up - i call the main office and they have him come out - he came out - was in and out in minutes - did a lousy job - i called back and was there this time and he was very rude and i felt that i had inconvenienced him. I just now tired to cancel and they would not give my $ back for my next service which i have not received- i could cancel my next service but would have to forfeit the $. I will be TERMINATING my Terminix service May 1 - FYI - One star rating I gave is One start too many. read more

Have been with Terminix for 1 year due to termites. Our 1 year inspection was this past Wednesday and I was told as always we did not need to be home! Thank goodness my daughter was here from Jacksonville or I may never have caught the tech. Not really inspecting the traps! I was told the service for $299.00 was done and traps inspected. My daughter assured me he knocked on the door and left, but when I called the tech he stated numerous times he inspected and replaced the front traps, but didn't go to the back because he was afraid he would get in trouble for tresspassing??????? I had my husband look at our home cameras which clearly showed he was on property for 3 minutes and checked nothing!!!!! We sent the video to his manager who told us that the employee was handled appropriately and he offered to come out and inspect it himself for $150.00 !!!!!! Really!!!! After paying over $1000.00 for termite services, was anything ever really done?? You would have billed me for $299.00 for doing nothing and now you will do it for $150.00. We will posting the video on social media so this happens to no one else!!!! read more

I wish I would have read the other horrible reviews. The salesman was nice, but everyone else has been horrible. Sales manager kept using sexist terms, honey, baby, in front of my daughter. They used a tenting company from Miami who showed up about 7 PM, worked in the dark. Their tent was totally ripped up. They "forgot" to put the things in front of the house, like sand bags to hold the tent down and the fumigant in, then the tubes came off the fumigant tank twice. I complained the manager, Charlie is very rude and aggressive he said they use a formula to make sure they use the right amount of fumigant, I asked if it took affect that it totally leaked out in front and from the tank, he refused to answer. I had gotten a letter that said if I was not 100% satisfied they would give me all my money back, now they refuse. It sounds like this is normal for them per the other bad reviews. I WOULD NOT USE THEM, EVER!!!! read more

Fired them today! Last year I called them to come out and spray the inside of my home. After making the appointment they told me they couldn't come out and spray without sending someone out first to find out what kind of problems I was having. This was an outright lie! They came out and spent over an hour trying to sell me stuff. The next year they called me and said I needed an "inspection" done and I told them they were not welcome to come and do this. They showed up anyway and said they needed to look through my home to find out what kind of bugs I had before they could come out and spray. He explained it as different trucks for different bugs lol I showed him the bugs and he had no clue as to what they were and then admitted it was really an inspection. They didn't show up today for my appointment between 1-3pm but showed up early so I was unable to get the interior of my home sprayed. I also wasted 3hrs of my day waiting on them. I think it is a shame that they would come to my home and lie right to my face to get me to let them in my home. read more

This season has brought an incredible abundance of aunts to our home. They were rampant on the lanai, around the edges of the house, inside around the windows and doors, and to a lesser extent, along the kitchen counters and cabinets. We had resorted to using Terro, a product that had helped us many times in the past with ant problems, but this year we were unable to eradicate the ants, so we called Terminix. My husband made the appointment as he has a more flexible work schedule than I do. The technician was scheduled to arrive between 10am and 12pm, when I would already be gone for work and wouldn't have to worry about a stranger around the house while I was getting ready to go. The technician arrived at 8am. I answered the door and I guess I looked surprised because he asked if I was not expecting him. I replied yes, we were expecting him but between 10 & 12. He insisted his computer showed an 8 am appointment. I passed him off to my husband and asked him to begin treatment outside rather than inside so I could finish getting ready for work. After I left for work he treated the inside of the house along the walls and he told my husband the ants should disappear in a few weeks. Almost immediately I began getting little bites on my ankles every time I put my feet on the carpeting. My husband didn't take me seriously and said he wasn't getting any bites. After a week or two he did notice we still had ants outside and he called Terminix and they came back and treated the outside of the house again while we were both working. Another week or so went by and the ankle biting was much worse. My husband began feeling the bites as well. It was so bad that we couldn't leave our feet on the carpet. When we sat on the couch we had to pull our feet up off the floor. When I sat in the office, I wrapped my legs with a blanket. I assumed (with a non-pesticide educated guess) that the treatment along our interior walls had forced pests out into the middle of the carpeting where we walked and sat. We also noticed more ants on our lanai. My husband called Terminix again and asked them to come out again to treat the inside and also to treat the ants on the outside. Terminix tried to make an afternoon appointment when he would be working, but he told them that wouldn't work, because obviously someone had to be here to let the technician in the house. They then set a morning appointment between 8am and 10am. The night before the appointment, the technician called and left a message for my husband confirming that he would be there the next day between 1pm and 3pm. This was not the correct appointment time and my husband called the technician back and left a message advising the correct appointment time was supposed to be between 8am and 10am, and that he would be working between 1pm to 3pm and thus would not be able to let him in the house. The technician did not return his call, nor did anyone come the next morning during the 8am to 10am time frame. However, the technician did come during the afternoon when no one was home and left his card with the following note: "Hello Mr. & Mrs. Porrino today I stop (sic) by as I said in the voice mail from 1-3pm. I found & treated ants & general insects outside." So now this is the second time the appointment time was incorrect, and we still did not have the needed treatment in the house. I was expecting company the following weekend and could not have people in the house with pests biting them on the ankles! My husband and I gave up on Terminix and just bought foggers for the house. Ta da! No more ankle biting on the carpet. Although the foggers worked, this defeated the purpose of calling Terminix in the first place. We still do have ants outside, but it is nowhere near the infestation we had before calling Terminix, so the exterior treatment was helpful. We are locked into an annual contract with Terminix but we will not renew it. read more
