This marvelous human has…read morehelped me relinquish many migraines, relieve symptoms of thoracic outlet syndrome, and made me a devoted trigger-point mayo facial released groupie. I've always loved Deborah. What I think is even more marvelous is that recently I was able to persuade my husband to make an appt. He can be skeptical about "massage", but had some serious pain that I had mentioned to Deborah. She immediately zero'd in on a likely cause. Sharing that with my guy got him in. WOW. It's been a week and he still can't stop talking about how much more comfortable his body is and how impressed he is with Deborah's skill and body wisdom. So yes, I knew she was a bodywork guru, but the fact that she got my quite less-likely-to-go-there hubby to prebook another appt is solid proof that Deborah Tash is an outlier among great body workers. She's amazing. Go see for yourself.

If an area needs extra attention, she takes the time to focus on it rather than simply going through a routine. She really listens to your body and adjusts the treatment to what you need. What I appreciate most is that she doesn't just focus on one area--she takes the time to understand what your body needs as a whole. She is incredibly knowledgeable about her craft and seems to know exactly where attention is needed. Her touch is gentle, yet she applies just the right amount of pressure. Every session leaves me feeling deeply relaxed and rejuvenated. I also love the aromatherapy--it adds another wonderful level of relaxation and makes the entire experience feel even more soothing. She is a miracle worker and by now 1.5 yrs later is my friend. Her cozy and modest studio on Divisadero is artistic, warm and inviting, and Lisa always greets me with a big hug (and smile, but we now conscientiously still mask because I interact with aging parents). She is a natural energy healer and personally has an amazing combination of gregariousness and quiet competence. From the beginning I trusted her and felt at ease. I often move into the alpha state as she massages my belly, or last year my arms and hands and neck because I suffered a bad case of tendinitis for months on end. She can tailor your session to what aches you and is trained in a number of modalities, so I would trust her implicitly to select what has the best chance of reducing current stress or pain. I keep coming back to Chi Nei Tsang, because it is so rare a practice competency (and almost impossible to find a dedicated professional with lots of experience) - and I love it! It could work with any GI issues which I have in spades and tho my life long issues have not been entirely solved, they have been eased. She has been with me every step of the way, reducing my stress over it. In fact, my Kaiser gastro doctor recommended the CNT practice to me! Try it!
