I'm not sure 5 stars is enough!! I agree with Michael B. and most of the others completely and I…read morealso don't know how to convey how amazing Gina is!! So I guess all I can do is share my experience and how Gina changed my life. I initially injured by back while playing volleyball in college about 8 years ago. I've been to multiple doctors, phyisical therapists, chiropractors, etc., yet none were able to clearly identify the source of the problem. Instead, I was given the typical western medicine treatment plan of pain killers and muscle relaxers to get through each season (if any of you were collegiate athletes, I'm sure you know what thats like!), along with the basic PT therapy (stim, strech, ice, repeat) 5 days a week. Not surprisingly, until I met with Gina, the problem never went away and the pain would still come and go - sometimes to the point that I was unable to walk. A couple weeks before our wedding last year, my back was beginning to act up, so my wonderful husband did some research and came across Gina and 3 Energies Massage. Although I was skeptical, as I have been to many massage places in need of back pain relief, my husband convinced me to give it one last try. All I can say is I am SO thankful I did!!! Gina did a preliminary assessment of my full body to identify problem areas. Combined with the questions she asked about my initial injury/problems, she was able to identify the source of the initial injury and a treatment plan....and it WORKED! when I walked in that day, I was unable to touch my toes, unable to bend or twist to my left, and in a moderate to high amount of pain. But after Gina's massage therapy, all of that changed. The best part was that it was a long lasting fix. Its been almost 12 months since I visited Gina and I have been almost entirely pain free with full range of motion. It has been lifechanging - I had accepted that I would just be in pain the rest of my life, but thankfully Gina has changed that. You may ask why I'm writing this now... well besides being a procrastinator... I managed to pull something in my back two days ago during a workout and I now know that I don't have to live with back pain - so I'm visiting Gina for another session :)

I'm joining the chorus here and singin' the praises of Gina. My back and shoulders had hurt for…read moreweeks. Mostly brought on by stress, I was so tight and wound up I couldn't turn my neck normally, and forget about moving my shoulders. I'd also experienced chest pain brought on by a spasming pectoral muscle that was continually aggravated at work and the gym. In several minutes she'd assessed problems I didn't realize were affecting me so adversely. This is corrective massage with trigger point release, not a froufrou massage. Gina did a fantastic job explaining what she was doing and why. Her communication about pressure and pain levels throughout was excellent. After the fastest 90 minutes of bliss/pain I walked out standing taller and was able to move my head and shoulders normally. I really didn't realize how bad everything was until it all felt normal again. My only complaint is that she's so good I'll be spending a lot more money on massage and bodywork this year :)

She is a miracle worker and by now 1.5 yrs later is my friend. Her cozy and modest studio on Divisadero is artistic, warm and inviting, and Lisa always greets me with a big hug (and smile, but we now conscientiously still mask because I interact with aging parents). She is a natural energy healer and personally has an amazing combination of gregariousness and quiet competence. From the beginning I trusted her and felt at ease. I often move into the alpha state as she massages my belly, or last year my arms and hands and neck because I suffered a bad case of tendinitis for months on end. She can tailor your session to what aches you and is trained in a number of modalities, so I would trust her implicitly to select what has the best chance of reducing current stress or pain. I keep coming back to Chi Nei Tsang, because it is so rare a practice competency (and almost impossible to find a dedicated professional with lots of experience) - and I love it! It could work with any GI issues which I have in spades and tho my life long issues have not been entirely solved, they have been eased. She has been with me every step of the way, reducing my stress over it. In fact, my Kaiser gastro doctor recommended the CNT practice to me! Try it!
