This place might be acceptable for basic tooth cleanings, but I cannot recommend it for cavity fillings. I had four fillings done by Dr. Clancy, and unfortunately, all of them fell off within a couple of months. During follow-up cleanings in his clinic, I discovered that one of the fillings--on which Dr. Clancy had spent over two hours--came off in just one month. First timer here and was greeted with a smile by the receptionist. She was very nice and welcoming. Checked me in and asked me how my day was going. Very pleasant and sweet. When it was time for my appointment was when my experience entirely went downhill. Dr. Julie, was extremely rough with me. First off, she didn't greet me or ask how I was doing. It was just straight to business. She seemed to have a lot going on and may have been rushed. Ultimately she ended up cutting my mouth. She apologized for the mistake. Which I'm hoping was a first occurrence because of the reviews I wouldn't expect something like this to happen here. But she really needs to be careful with how she is not only working on patients but just being welcoming and courteous. It's been a week and my mouth is still in extreme discomfort. I have been seeing Dr. Clancy for almost ten years now, after my previous dentist of more than 20 years suddenly passed away. I grind my teeth, which has caused some significant damage to the enamel. Dr. Clancy has done a great job restoring the enamel, and also skillfully put in a new crown some years ago. He is very precise in his work. He also is very warm and friendly. I stumbled across this review while searching for dentist reviews. I regret to say that my experience is very similar to that of G.S. I found him recommending procedures which I didn't need (if I were a vain person, I might) and I had the exact experience as G.S. where some procedures were done with the insurance supposedly covering half the cost. When insurance refused to pay, we were asked to pay the rest. Same sad story with not being able to claim FlexPlan benefit due to timing issue. Dr. Clancy and his staff are amazing at what they do. My children previously went to a pediatric dentist. They were never able to get a full set of xrays completed on my youngest son. The first time he visited Dr. Clancy he was able to accomplish what the other dentist had not been able to in years.
