More importantly, when they installed the drapes, one of the trim pieces was frayed at the bottom. It looks like they ran out of trim and tried to make it work. I have to say, I freakin' love this place. Since Ames went out of business in the early 2000's,…read morethere was nowhere in the area that sold clothing at reasonable prices. There's no Walmart or Target nearby (that would be an easy 30 to 40 minute drive to the nearest one). Thankfully that void has been filled by Label Shopper. Don't get me wrong, they do not have a very vast selection of clothing. But if you want to pick up a few things on the cheap, then save yourself some gas money and check Label Shopper first before shlepping off to Hudson or Kingston. They have great basics and sometimes you'll find some cute things from places like Aeropostale, Gap, Delia's, etc. They usually have a fantastic shoe section, and I'm pretty sure at least half of my apartment is decorated with things I bought from their home section. Definitely worth checking out!

I worked primarily with Abigail - especially during the ideation phase. She is sweet, understanding, and full of brilliant ideas (and she keeps to the budget). Even from our first meeting she gave the impression the office would turn out even better than I'd hope. I wasn't wrong! Robbie (who worked with Abigail to put it all together near the end of the project) is super cool and charming, and he knows his stuff! Both have excellent craftsmanship. What was once a room I dreaded entering at the start of my workday and couldn't wait to leave at the end of it has turned into a space I actively look forward to being in. This room now feels warm, inviting, cozy, and comforting. I wish I had taken some before photos! My wife and I will for sure look to work with Gil Mill Homes on future projects. Go hire them now!

Susan was wonderful…read more She seemed intuitive, attentive, genuine, and patient--exhumed a wholesome energy and made me feel comfortable. I could tell she loved her job and cared about her clients. She came prepared for the house visit: brought me a printed notebook with bagua maps laid over my floor plans and took notes for me so I did not have to. We chatted and walked around the house for readings. She also did an energy cleaning at the end of the consultation. The whole session took a little over 3 hours. A few days later, she sent a follow up email with more notes and links for subjects we discussed. Susan was also very mindful of my germaphobic tendencies and offered to bring extra clean clothes and socks to wear inside my house. When I asked her questions, she took her time to double check with her notes before answering. It is a lot of new information to absorb. I appreciated her due diligence. Her method was different from the previous fenshui consultant I tried. It's more natural and less hoaky, which suits my style more. For the price range, it's best to consult with her over the phone and review which package suits you. It's very convenient for me that she takes credit cards!

After looking through a few practitioners' websites I called Susan, and I'm happy that I did. She was very well prepared and made a great number of thoughtful suggestions and recommendations, and was super easy to relate to. Considering the amount of time she was here, I feel that her rates are extremely reasonable. I will also say that since our consultation a few weeks ago many things in my life have shifted dramatically for the better, perhaps it was from the house clearing+blessing? Not sure, but my own self study has become more enjoyable too, and I would definitely recommend Susan if you would like an expert opinion. Best wishes with your house! :)
