Ray, the proprietor, was out on the tractor but came over to us upon noting our arrival. After hanging out with the alpacas and talking to Ray for a while, we were introduced to his wife, Debbie, who opened up her store of home made goods for us to peruse. Debbie is an incredibly talented knitter, and together the Cilley's have worked to breed the alpacas such that they have won a copious number of awards which are proudly displayed in the store. We enjoyed the Cilley's hospitality, well cared for property and animals, and even bought a few alpaca-felted items. The farm is definitely worth the trip- whether to see a bit of rural New Hampshire, find out what alpacas actually are, or find some unique and beautifully crafted clothing! TIP: Be sure to follow the way (and the signs) to #81...this is a small town and many other residential (i.e. non-commercial) farms are near by.

The farm is gorgeous, peaceful, and filled with everything that makes a New England fall day feel special. The apples were beautiful, and our first warm cider donut was absolutely amazing! We also brought home several gorgeous mums that added the perfect touch of fall color to our home. What made the experience even more memorable was how genuinely friendly and welcoming the owners were. You can feel the pride and care they put into the farm and into making every visitor feel at home. We had so much fun and created such a special memory together. We will absolutely be back. Their kiddie size is closer to what many places would call a small, and the portions are much more generous for the price. Sunnycrest has a beautiful farm setting and great flavors, so it's still a nice place to visit, but I think the portion sizes could be a bit more generous for what you're paying.

Primarily due to the fact that I normally pick up fresh eggs from my bestie in Derry, I ended up searching for a contingency plan in the event she was already sold out on her end. Such was the case today. First, a caveat: if you're happening by this store southbound, the parking lot entrance will be the second turn on the right just past the store itself. It can be a little confusing due to the second logo sign on the side of the warehouse building which, to newcomers, may appear to be an entrance point. I have no idea if and what they keep back there (probably just extended storage), but from what I could ascertain, the main store is the smaller building in the center of it all. Naturally, the interior is (like I said) small and pretty unassuming, if I'm being entirely accurate. What you see is what you get and this is a good thing. Because everything looked pretty fresh and tasty to me. I possess neither the space nor memory to recall every last item they have here. But in addition to extra large fresh eggs, they also feature baked goods (to include my all time favorite - FUDGE!!) and real maple syrup. That's right! None of that synthetic, overly sugary crap for us true New Englanders. This, and other grocery stores like it, are the places we go when we want true, authentic maple syrup. So anyways, I was here for the eggs. Now, I may be writing this review prematurely since I haven't exactly tasted the eggs yet. But from what I can tell, this place is legit. They even have Apple and Google pay, which actually surprised me. The Yelp page didn't list this as a viable option at the time of writing this review. I will certainly be submitting an update recommendation to the powers that be. The staff were quite friendly and approachable. Didn't really stay long to chat or anything though. Those were just my first impressions. The location is tucked away, but easy to get to. It also appears they have quite the local following. So, I definitely will return. At some point, I'd really like to get my hands on that peanut butter fudge and genuine maple syrup. Can't really recommend this place any harder for picking up fresh produce and treats. Alpacas shearing happened already (spring) so if you want to see them with full fur, staff told us to return in Nov. They are still cute :) Tour runs 45 mins long and we get to feed and pet them. I am so bad with names but I know one is called Summer. Two pregnant mamas and one baby on the ranch! On the way out, please put a donation in the jar or make a purchase at the store. Plenty of cute socks, sweater, etc. Please note that you will smell alpaca spit (or musty odor) when you enter the shop/ranch and even after you depart. Don't wear fancy clothes.

Most of the alpacas were friendly and you can clearly see how happy and well taken care of they are. I love visiting places where they care for their animals and treat them like family. Definitely a must visit if you're in the area. They do free 1 hour long tours, but donations are welcome. Make sure to make a reservation so they know you're coming.
