    Waiting room

    At first take its huge waiting room with a lot going on, with a lot of people waiting.. by a lot I mean 20+ people. You walk into 7 receptionist to sign you in and get your info from you. Once checked in you are directed to wait for next steps. Those next steps occurred 30 min later. Which a nurse comes out and says we are going to imaging. Well I just had x-rays by my doctor, this is why I ended up here. Maybe my doctors mess up who knows. But I'm told the doctor may not see me without X-Rays being taken. I am not paying for more x-rays of the same thing that ended me up at the orthopedic. Seems like an expense that isn't needed. So I am directed to another waiting room in the back of the original waiting room, to wait some more till a room becomes available. But this waiting room says no cell phones. Step three I'm directed to a small room to wait for the doctor after about 8 min of waiting. So now we are about 40 min before getting to a doctors room, so I guess we wait. Tick tock Doc!! So we are 27 min. In and no sign of a doctor. On a normal day I would only invest about an hour of wait time before leaving. Because my time is important to and I can't bill for my time of waiting. But today we will wait, it's my first visit here so I want to see if the doctor can help with my situation in my knees. So we wait.... tick, Tock ... Doc.....,,,. Wonder if they forgot about me (40 min and counting) ? ....,,,,, Ok here we go after 45 min I get 5 1/2 min exam. They were able to get my X-Rays so that was a bonus. But could not give me anything else without a MRI. So I don't know how I feel at this point I spent 1.5hr waiting only to know exactly what I did when I came in. So in order to find out more I have to get an expensive MRI. I get it, this gives the entire picture but it adds to an already inflated cost. So I guess I wait to see if insurance covers the MRI or I live with the issue and discomfort. Today my review isn't going to be that great because I got no relief, still don't know what it is, or why it's happening. Only thing that happened today was sitting uncomfortably for 1.5hrs for a 5 min visit. I will update my review as I progress with this organization.

    On time every time! The care of the staff here is amazing the only recommendation I would have is that the check in staff needs to smile!

    I was very pleased with TOA staff and doctors. Everyone was kind and respectful. I highly recommend them and appreciate their service.

    Horrible. Bill you a year later for office visit that provided an incorrect diagnosis. Take me to court if you want any money

I…read morewas happy with the Nurse Practioner but the lady at check in acts like she hates her job. The guy who takes xrays is not real personable. And I really tried, believe me. The waiting area, to me smelled like a veternarian's waiting room. Cat urine and dog sweat!!! Phew! Also, it could use a good sweep or vacuum!! The little nurse is really sweet. It's kinda close quarters in there, very narrow hallways. On my second visit the office visit, the office mgr or gate keeper, argued with my husband and myself about what I should pay for a co-pay. She called my insurance while we were there but the way she worded her question it was twisted in her favor. The thing is they bill your insurance under the clinic's ID instead of the Nurse Practioner's ID that takes care of you. That way they can get the higher co-pay from you. Every 2-3 weeks you come on you are out your highest co-pay to them when you are just seeing a Nurse Practitioner. This clinic is never very busy and I guess I now know why. I'm late to figure it out. This is a rip off.

    Well we found ourselves in need of some urgent ortho care at 6:00pm, and we dialed the number for…read morethe MURFREESBORO office. My wife talked with a nice person who told us yes if we arrived by 6:30 they would see my daughter and she explained the costs. We arrived at 6:27 already feeling bad about the late need only to be greeted by two girls who basically told me I was not going to be seen and I should have called ahead.... Confused I stated we did call and both told me "well you didn't speak to any of us." The second girl informs me that they are closing and the Practitioner on duty said he isn't taking anymore patients. (Remember this is all happening with my daughter sitting in a chair holding her broken wrist... ) I explained again that I had talked to someone and they said "Oh you must have call Mt Juliet." No I definitely called the MURFREESBORO number.... I was met with a shrug at this point and informed I would have to seek care somewhere else..... We went to Gateway Urgent Care and confirm the broken bone but had to get a referral over to TOA ‍ Now here is the explanation of why this happens. At 5pm the answering service no longer routes calls so they all go to the Mt Juliet location. I was told well the girl who answered the phone must have forgotten the time and didn't ask me what location I was calling for. Well this seems to be problem number one... Problem two was these obviously annoyed employees in Murfreesboro that treated me like I was insane and I had made the mistake, and did nothing but shrug and say sorry we can't help the doctor is done for the day. If you know that I didn't "call" Mt Juliet but rather that I was routed there it would have been nice if you maybe checked with them to find out if they did tell me I would be taken care of if I reach the office before close. Anyway... first impressions are everything I guess this Murfreesboro office isn't very good at them ‍
