It's the usual center city parking situation - try your luck with street parking or park in one of the decks. This place is pretty low key but way more spacious that it looks from the outside. It's relatively "no frills" when it comes to vibe as service, very casual - definitely not fine dining, lighting is a little harsh. We got the Love boat for 2 - which comes with one miso soup and one salad (so hopefully you're willing to share or maybe one of you only wants soup and the other wants salad). The boat was ok - didn't really hit the spot in the way that I had hoped. Karaoke rooms are open and pretty loud but they sound fun. Maybe I'll come back and check those out but I likely won't be back otherwise.

I had the rainbow roll because it had a BOGO offer, making 2 rolls only $16. However, the rolls were SMALL and basically just a California roll with a tiny sliver of fish on top. Two was the perfect amount for me and I don't eat that much, so I would've been quite upset if I'd paid over $30 for that. Aside from the price and size, it wasn't very good. There wasn't much imitation crab inside (which is relatively inexpensive anyways) and the fish on top wasn't very fresh so I ended up taking it off. The salmon sashimi pieces were also half cooked? Super weird... Maybe the food would be better in person, or if I didn't order sushi for takeout, but I probably won't be coming back here :(

Restaurant was not crowded, maybe three tables full. My son and I didn't really interact with the other people at our table (we were sat on the end). Views of the Benjamin Franklin Bridge and waterfront are always amazing. Staff were friendly and checked in with us as necessary. Easy to ask for refills or containers for leftovers. I ordered: -- House Salad -- Served with Hibachi Japanese dressing (comes standard) -- Hibachi Cooler -- Grey Goose, Tropical Fruit Punch, Splash of Grenadine (Lime | Orange Slice) -- Paradise Punch -- Malibu, Stoli, Orange Curaçao and Tropical Fruit Punch -- Japanese Egg Rolls -- 2 pieces | House Sweet and Sour Sauce on side -- Crispy Shrimp Roll -- Egg Roll skin filled with fresh shrimp, cream cheese, scallion, deep fried with spicy sauce on side -- Shrimp Teriyaki with Fried Rice and Vegetables The only issue was that the restaurant had NO soda for my son to drink. He had to order an Iced Tea. Our experience was nice and we enjoyed ourselves. Will definitely return at a later date

There were four people total at the hibachi table and the chef was pretty quiet, but I'm sure it's difficult to put on a show for that little amount of people. Portions were standard, prices did not match the menu but actually ended up being lower than listed. The food was fresh and decent, could've had a little more flavor. Overall we were pleased. Would give 3.5 stars if possible!

This is a disappointment and a toughie …read more.. We came for my birthday due to a generous $50 birthday reward from the company themselves (easy sign up with an interesting app name). My, my, my, how this spot has changed over a ten plus year period! Service was warm, albeit slow. We had reservations and were promptly seated with another couple, then a single man. Beverages came out quickly, but then we waited and waited for soup and salad... I was so hungry and was truly puzzled, as it wasn't crowded at an early 5 pm. time. We thought our server was Armando, who took our orders, but then Rob came over and introduced himself? He was cordial, funny, and a great cook. All enjoyed our conversation as well. Yummy soup; not good ginger salad though; my only food "ding." No more fun fanfare of the "onion train" and tricks, as expected, and what Benihana is known for... Rob did a few fun things but it just wasn't the same :( Our chicken fried rice, my scallops and filet were amazingly delicious and served perfectly (rare for moi). I also loved the seasoned zucchini and white rice! The Yummy sauce truly lived up to its name!!! I used my whole small plate all over my dish! Although they knew and wished me a happy birthday, no singing like at another table earlier, or complimentary ice-cream. I don't care for being in the spotlight, but felt cheated. Props to the sweet hostesses, Courtney and Tina. Sherrett, the manager was nice too. I think he listened to my ginger salad comment. Id go back with a coupon, knowing what to (and not to) expect.

We got there around 5:30pm on a Tuesday and the place was empty for a while but started filling up around an hour later. Seemed like a pretty good deal for restaurant week, with the set dinner price being $45 for 4 courses plus dessert. I liked that we were able to try so many different items. Dinner was also filling enough that I had a few bites of sushi for leftovers at the end. I chose the following: 1) Seaweed salad: good, standard seaweed salad, good portion size for a first course 2) Shrimp shumai: not super memorable but tasty! 3) Lobster bun: I thought this was really good and would definitely order again 4) Angel roll and Manhattan roll: It was great being able to order two rolls for the main course! The roll choices were fairly limited, as there were only 5 choices and most had shrimp tempora and I believe they all had some fried element. But they were very delicious and filling. 5) Dessert: green tea mochi ice cream: I always love mochi ice cream so this hit the spot! It wasn't super big but already being full, the size worked great.
