There were many employees, most of them were axe throwing or standing behind the bar. We waited at the entrance for a bit before my partner went up to an employee at the axe throwing area to ask if we could be directed to the Crazier Golf. He led us to the back and said, "I'll be back to give you instructions." Forty-five minutes later (so now an hour past our booking), my partner found him axe throwing again and asked if we could just get the putters and balls, and we could figure it out from there. And that's exactly what happened. He begrudgingly left axe throwing, walked to the back of the room, handed us golf balls, then left. Online it says, "You might have played Crazy Golf... but you've never seen it this Crazy. Catapults, loops, conveyors, we've got it all. Don't be afraid to bring a bevvy on the course... all the best players give their best performance after some Dutch courage." Nine holes, takes about forty-five minutes. It took us maybe ten (then again, we had the course entirely to ourselves). It was so much less fun than advertised. The course has seen some serious wear and tear; every putter, every golf ball, every surface was sticky with alcohol. Maybe we're not the demographic for this. I see other people love it; we don't. There's better ways to spend your time in this beautiful city!

As a small business owner myself, I know what it takes to make a dream a reality. I can tell that the young owners of this business truly care about their customers and they go out of their way to make sure we, customers, have the best karting experience. The karts are well kept and the track is too. The staff is amazing, from the nice girls in the front, to the helpful boys on the track. It's placement in an old war hanger is super cool too. Next time i find myself in the uk again, I will be back.

This is a soft-play area inside Studley Grange Garden Centre.. in amongst all the craft shops…read more Great location although probably difficult for those who have no means of transport other than public as there are no bus routes that way and there is no footpath to get into Studley Grange. This would be no good for the older kids. But for toddlers and smaller children it would be perfect. There are two sections, each section has tables for the adults to sit and relax. There is a security gate to stop any children from escaping. One one side is a little climbing area, a see-saw, a ball-shooter.. and on the other side is a big area for babies and toddlers to play in, plus a big ball-pit with a slide and other fun things. You pay for the time you spend there and it's usually calculated by the half-hour. So if you decided to pop in there for an hour, it will work out cheaper than if you went to Kidz About or Jolly Rogers for an hour. Café facilities are good, they don't do hot food although there is a bigger café in the building that does do hot food. Staff are always lovely and friendly.

The next…read moresection is a bit of a shock as you find yourself on a deeply rutted track and facing the question of balancing along the middle or down in foot-deep ruts, some of which are inches from ditches This was the only section where walkers were really annoying, as in some places you had to ask them to move aside so you could pass. Then on to a farm road You approach the finish up a stony track. Some people complained about this last hill (small compared to what's come before, but it is sharp right at the end), but I loved it. There was actually a nice stretch of turf running alongside. The best running surface the whole way in my opinion, and I ran up it! Over the top, and in site of the finish below, you turn into a field. And another nasty surprise It's full of huge grass tussocks! Perfect ankle turning facilities By now I'd been spotted, and someone with a loudspeaker was announcing my arrival! With a welcome like that I had to run didn't I? However a straight course was impossible. I ran slowly and carefully along a meandering animal track towards the finish where several of the staff gathered to clap me in. After that the announcer turned to the walkers coming in (including a gang dressed as Roman centurions who I'd talked to a few times (they were walking, but fast, which meant for a while my runs took me ahead, then they caught me again on my walks!). I got my medal, which is one of the best I've had, some food and a drink, all free. The food was delicious veggie stuff: a pita with humus, pizza, and I think some cake. Then it was on to my free visit to Stonehenge, which I've reviewed separately. All in all I wouldn't recommend the Neolithic for those looking for a personal best. I'd also say for a first marathon you'd be better on an easier course (like London!). But for a challenge and for organisation and atmosphere it's hard to beat. Definitely a must do. The car park is pretty big and as it's tarmac and gravel, it is easy to drive on. The pathways onto the hill get extremely muddy, as you would predict, but there are tarmac path ways around quite a bit of the hill. Sometimes they have vehicle trips to the top of the hill, which is a great idea for those of limited mobility - as the views from the top of the hill really are spectacular. Get up early and get to the top of the hill before anyone has woken up - it's like pure perfection! If you have small children and don't want to walk all the way up the hill, then the hill farm and rare breeds centre is great.

Its a good place for a picnic and you can walk through the park's gardens from the entrance in the centre of Bath to the large adventure playground and skateboard park on the other side of the park. I would recommend this park to anyone visiting Bath, especially if you have children.

There are so many bits of equipment for children that even when busy there is always something to be messing around on. There is much more that the park offers for adults and children - a huge area to meander around green spaces, a skate park, a great view of the grand houses on the Royal Crescent, a botanical garden, green spaces on which to munch a picnic, tennis courts, crazy golf course (which children and the child inside every adult will love!)
