When in Dublin, Ireland for the first time, one should purchase some souvenirs & gifts for family who could not make the the trip. That's why we dropped by Temple Bar Trading Company. The shop is pretty large. Store was packed with people and merchandise. Be careful when you walk around so as not to break any of the fragile products. You break it, you buy it!! We did purchase some items. Specifically, we purchased a magnet (probably made in China). We also purchase assorted cookies and candy which were made in Ireland!! Found what we needed and did not purchase stuff that we did not need. Win, win for us! Prices probably were not on the low end, but I thought that it was still fine. We were in a very touristy area after all.

We stopped here after touring countless other souvenir shops and this was the best, by far. As usual, it is packed full of overpriced goodies, but this shop has a great selection of everything you can imagine and was a double storefront, thus housed a bit more. The larger selection made it so there were items beyond the typical tacky items. Don't fret, they have those, too (our kids loved the tacky knick knacks we brought them). We ended up purchasing quite a bit here, such as a sweatshirt, a wool driving hat, a kid's sheep dress, magnet, Christmas ornaments, keychains, postcards, chocolates, clover wishing jars, and a few stuffed animals. We have enjoyed everything except for the chocolates (we ended up tossing them). The sweatshirt and hat are surprisingly great quality and worth the cost.

Walking down the Temple Bar area, spotted this massive shop and purchased postcards at 3 for a euro - small size and 2 for a euro big size. So comparing this store to Carroll's Irish gifts, it absolutely does not come out ahead in terms of cost and service. So apart from postcards, key chains etc, I found the Guinness/ Irish whiskey chocolate at this store was more expensive than at Carrolls. Service here was also not as friendly as the Carroll's shop I went to. Def recommend shopping around a bit more for anyone looking to buy souvenirs. Note: #279 of Yelp 100 challenge for 2016

Because I live in Dublin, I would never normally go into this tourist shop. It sells everything with Guinness and a shamrock on it, basically souvenirs that are stereotypically Irish. I was prepared to hate it but then I discovered some good buys. You can purchase a kid's hoodie for a fiver and some decent sunglasses for a tenner. Yes, you can also find Leprechaun fridge magnets and bottle openers. There's a ridiculous amount of clothes with sheep cartoons on them too. But then there's chocolate and fudge that looked quite scrumptious. If you're a tourist and you need this stuff then I forgive you. I understand the urge to buy a tea towel with the recipe for soda bread on it. I too once believed that this was what Ireland was all about.

I got a lovely Guinness jacket/hoodie that we did not see at the Storehouse or at Carroll's.

We received exceptional service from the ladies at Kilkenny shop…read more They have a large range of items from handmade candy, luxury crystal, wool blankets and clothing apparel. Ruth was really helpful and set the items we selected aside as we shopped to our hands free. They have change rooms for you to try clothing as needed and an attendant to help you find sizes. What was really unique and cool to see was the Irish gold jewelry pieces and to learn the history about the particular source of the gold. They sell quality products from local and Irish companies. I really enjoyed finding true Irish based products. Thank you ladies!! I was in Dublin for just 7 days and I came back to this shop twice! 10 out of 10 highly recommend!

We were told by a retail worker who looked ashamed, that they did not have lifts. Only stairs. l then looked at the stairs and it looked like Mount Everest to me. My disability is 90% invisible however I know my limits and I had my wheelchair with me that day. The lovely retail worker offered us free tea or coffee for us to go. However at this point I felt dejected. All I wanted to do was get something to eat with my father. To whoever owns this store an/or the building; DO BETTER! How would you feel if you couldn't see half the shop? Grab a bite to eat and a drink? How would you feel if that was your child? We are only a few days away from 2026 and to see this type of discrimination against disabled people is shocking. I am n mincing my words. It was pure discrimination. Pure and simple.

As our last full day in Dublin, I wanted to pick up some gifts for the parents and the stepkids…read morebefore we returned to the states. This need also included some t-shirts and hats for me. You can find a Carrolls quite quickly, and we certainly did as we walked inside a mall after coming from St. Stephen's Green. The shop clerks were accommodating as they gave us a cart to keep the items we had collected from falling out of our arms. We picked up several items -- t-shirts, hats, necklaces, magnets, keychains, some things that were five euros or less in a box by the cash register at the back of the store. It was undoubtedly an enjoyable experience. My wife was eyeing the wool sweaters, but I had to talk her down since we live in South Florida, where it's 90 degrees year-round. Overall, you cannot go wrong with Carrolls when you need souvenirs and t-shirts to highlight and remember your trip to Dublin.

There were a lot of souvenirs here that I was not able to find at other gift shops. Then again, that seemed to be a trend with gift shops in Ireland. They rarely have duplicate items in other stores! Weird. Service here was friendly and fast and prices were reasonable. The store was on Grafton street so it was very busy. Sadly their store hours were only until 8pm. I believe they take the VAT card here so you can show them this card for your tax refund.
