There's also always this smell up at the top. there's no good circulation in the whole area which if you have respiratory problems, I would not recommend this place. It's usually stuffy and has an odd smell. I Wish they had air purifiers throughout the whole location.

We walked around the Chinese and Japanese gardens mostly, and they were really lovely. It's kind of amazing just how much space there is, how much it is kept up. There are lovely paths everywhere. It was a little hot when I visited, so I probably would have wandered longer if I wasn't as hot. It does look like they have a shuttle now to get people around, and and also more accessible access for people with mobility issues.

There wasn't one person who didn't comment on the Zaffe and how much fun they had watching it and being involved in it. They did three performance; first escorted the groom from the hotel to the limo; then back to escort myself (bride) to the limo. They then brought the house down with their high energy performance for our grand entrance. I couldn't be happier with the whole experience. Samo and his troupe were so professional and booking them was easy. I really liked how they had a contract that clearly laid out expectations and price, which was very fair. They were not only on time, but early and came prepared to put on one heck of a show. I truly can't say enough good things. Thank you Samo and crew for making our wedding so special :)

When you show up to class, you don't really know what to expect. The word "class" brings many weird associations to all of us. I was never good at school, so I didn't know how this particular type of school would work out. I'm just so, so insanely grateful now. Corey has been a phenomenal teacher. He just has this ability to find the funny in you. He has this ability to help you understand comedy and see it as a craft. He's a good listener. He has little to no ego. That's one of the many things that makes him so good. You're not just there to listen and take notes. You'll be on stage early, first in front of your fellow students and then in front of up to 120 people. Being on stage like that can be a life-changing experience. Even though you're expected to joke and be funny, don't treat the class as a joke. You soon realize how much work goes into being funny, and that a five-minute set can feel like an eternity. You're forced to cut things out. You're forced to make your jokes better and more direct, sort of similar to how you're forced to keep reading this review of mine. Don't wait until you've done an open mic first. Don't wait. Don't be scared that you're not funny enough. Just show up on Sunday at the oldest comedy club in LA and do your best.

The exterior space if tiered parking lot, shady with trees, and a simple building from the outside. Then came The Thinker (1880) by Auguste Rodin to the left of the entrance path. You had me at this wonder statue that also adorns the courtyard entrance to The Legion of Honor in San Francisco. There is a large collection of Rodin in a dedicated area. That is my most favorite museum. This was a nice association to enjoy. This interior wings of this two story gem are easy to navigate and a nice size to display the collections. Inside seating is in some areas so one can take a rest and spend more time with some pieces. We didn't have time to visit the cafe, but it has outdoor seating in a beautiful interior courtyard which my friend says is so relaxing. If I lived here, I would become a member. I will visit here again when I am back.

My work wasnt good but other had the most beautiful paintings. I dont know how they made such small lines when mines came out as blobs. Cyanotype Workshop is also really fun. Went…read morelast year for the first time and then twice this year to see both Production A (The Unnameable, the Chimes, and Cask of Amontillado) and Production B **new** (Casting the Runes, A Ghost Story, and The Body Snatcher). I brought a bunch of people with me to see Production A this year. It was amazing as always... Note to newcomers - if you are meeting people at the event, make sure that all members of your group receive the same color sticker on their program. You want to stay together in the same group. Also note that they have coffee, hot apple juice (which they insist on calling cider), and a few candy bars. $2 each or 2 items for $3. Bring cash, a jacket as you will be outside for a time, and comfortable shoes for walking and standing for short periods. The plays are immersive as you walk following the characters and story progression through the creepy and eeriliy lit long hallways of the mausoleum... and through the cemetery across the street. Most of the acting is great. Last night was unusual because they had BOTH productions going on at the same time. I was concerned that we would be running into each other in the corridors and we would lose the integrity of the individual plays with competing noise in the background. They actually handled it really well and there was only about 5 minutes when I was distracted by noise from another play. Production B was very good for the most part. I will not forget the images from Casting the Runes and The Body Snatcher. The Ghost Story however, started out GREAT but then the second half was kind of ridiculous. What annoyed me most was the fact that because it wasn't as long as the other plays and they all had to end at the same time, the guide read us "The Raven" as we walked back. Now, I take my Poe seriously and want it done right or not at all. This guy read it from the folder, lost his place a few times, used a voice that I assume was supposed to be funny (and wasn't). It just wasn't done well. If they HAD to fill up that time, (and I hope they read this review) they should have the poem read at the original site and read seriously by someone who can do it properly... by candlelight... with some thunder, rain, and lightning in the background. I was not only disappointed, but mad that it had been done so poorly. I could have read it better (and not from a folder). All in all, it's still a Halloween favorite and the location is fantastic and used well.
