Cheap gas, crowded and poor parking lot layout. Expect to wait in lines. Most people respect the lines but frequently someone will use the layout to their advantage to bypass the lines. When this happens, the staff gladly sells them gas even when they saw what happened. They just want to sell gas and don't care about the people. The frequency of broken pumps does not help the issue. I waited an extra long time for a pump to open. I chose poorly and the person in front of me was having pump issues that the attendant had to come out to fix. When he finally left, someone swooped in on my pump. I met the person at the register and explained what happened to the attendant. They still took the other person's money ahead of mine and let them get gas. This doesn't seem like a good way to treat me after I had patiently waited while they addressed technical issues with the person ahead of me. read more

My husband went on there at 11:30 PM after his shift at work. Doors were open and cashier was counting drawer. Cashier then told my husband that it was shift change and they can't help him for 30 minute. my husband asked well can I at least use the restroom? Cashier said oh no they're closed. At this point.... Why are your doors even open while you're counting the drawers. This is the cheapest gas for "premium" gas, the truck stops off the freeway are cheaper for "regular". I need premium so i stopped in her 4 or 5 times over a two week period while visiting locally. Out of paper at the pump, that's what treated me each time. A tad frustrating since Fastrip stations have a record of being victims of having credit card theft readers. This Fastrip sells the cheapest gas I've seen in Tehachapi. They have plenty of pumps, and so far I haven't noticed lines waiting for the pumps The convenience store carries a wide variety of sodas, waters, juices, and energy drinks. They even carry my favorite soda option, San Pellegrino, in both the lemon and orange flavors and the price is not inflated too high. They also carry many snack products including my personal favorite, Takis. Visiting this Fastrip was my first introduction to the F'Real milkshake blending bar machine. I didn't try it yesterday because I had just come from eating a huge lunch, but I'm still thinking about it and can't wait to go back and try it. Here's how it works. There is a frozen/refrigerated compartment filled with cups of many different flavors of milkshakes (chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, cookies and cream, peanut butter cup, and chocolate mint). You choose your cup, set the blender portion of the machine to your desired thickness (less thick, regular thickness, more thick), blend, and drink. It is not the cheapest gas in town. The cash price is, but they charge a different rate for credit cards and if you use your debit card they charge a fee. With the fee or the more expensive rate the price is more expensive than Loves. Most important (main reason I gave one star), this gas station has had a major problem with skimming. So many people have been able to trace their stolen identies to this gas station. read more

Always the lowest gas prices in town. Marked Down 2 stars because the small pump area is a hazard. Cars come in and out from 4 different areas and any cars in line will block a good portion of the remaining lot. Gotta have your head on a swivel! RUDE SERVICE, MONSTER EMPLOYEE. I had an experience there that I've never had before. I bought some gas and took the time to go to the bathroom. At the open men's room door I was met by a 30-something, let's call him Bluto. I walked in and he was unloading bottles of water and told me that the restroom was closed. Now I have been around and usually the reason is cleaning. But there was no one else around and I asked why. He immediately bristled and said he was unloading merchandise. I would never want to get in the way of commerce, but I said I just wanted to take a whiz. Oh, no, not with the merchandise. Let me get to the point: this was the worst customer service I had ever encountered and i'm 68 years old. He immediately confronted me as if I was a threat. My mind gets trippy, so I admit nearby streets are around here in long T's and Powerades taste like exotic watermelons. Diet items are a necessity, but some diet items aren't healthy. Very much I prefer to stand corrected and wait in scattered lines, since the clouds burn with moisture and thunder seeps into other storms. So, this Fastrip store gets crowded and everything in ambiance flows like a river. For pleasure, just ignore the prices.
