My case has been very complex and Stephen was capable of navigating through the turmoil with ease. I remain very grateful for his services and will continue to seek legal help from him. One of the things I noticed almost immediately about this attorney, was that he listened and was truly interested in understanding my case. He took the time to ask questions, explain his thoughts from a legal perspective, then continue to examine and evaluate my situation to come up with the best strategy to be successful. He's extremely thorough, highly intelligent and dedicated to knowing the law. I appreciate that Stephen is humble, down-to-earth and compassionate during a difficult time. She then suggested that I go another route, which i explained that I had already researched and I had gotten legal advice to support what i was looking to do. Her demeanor then became hostile and demanding which lawyer i had spoke to, stated that i must have a "real issue" if the specific lawyer refused to work with me (fyi not the case, i just was looking to save a little money and use a paralegal to type the forms) then she cancelled our appointment about an hour and a half prior. I thought maybe she had me confused for someone else, but no, she is just not a professional person. Don't make assumptions about people you do not know, and no one needs additude.

In Sept 2019 a serious error was discovered, one of the properties we thought was in the Trust was not. This was correct but we had to file the paperwork with the County Recorder in Feb 2020. Granted some of the delays was our fault requesting explanation of the terminology and references because we did not have a good feeling our Trust was being handled professionally. This was annoying to Barbara which contributed to the delays and almost 3 years later finalizing the Trust. As a result of this stunning performance, we contract a professional to redo the Trust.

I spent 10 minutes on the phone with them, & they answered my questions I've been asking for months now, that I haven't gotten a straight answer about all that time. They already are proactive at helping me with my case. Phillip Darling is the sorriest excuse of a lawyer I've ever dealt with. Not that I dealt with a lot of lawyers in my life, very few actually, but he sure made me realize what the stigma about lawyers is all about, I understand fully why people hate lawyers in general. What a pretentious, money hungry, waste of time, unprofessional, obnoxious snake! He charged me $500 up front, for our initial phone appointment, (that he not only was confusing & rude, but also didn't even acknowledge my husband who was sitting there on speaker phone with me, not even after I introduced him, he just groaned like I rudely interrupted him, & then went on speaking in tongues.) the $500 also included a letter he claimed he was going to write & for another hour that he would put towards my case. That was 6 weeks ago. Since then I heard nothing from him. Not one word. I did get duplicate statements of the attorney/client agreement (which was numerous pages of all the things he was going to be charging for. I mean, they covered EVERYTHING from his precious time to stamps. ) Then absolute dead air! I finally wrote him an email last week & explained exactly what my questions were. I thought the attorney being the attorney would actually let me know what the next steps were, but since I heard nothing from him, I decided to ask. 4 days later, he replied with the biggest pile of nonsense I've ever seen, he didn't answer even one of my questions, ignored most of them, ignored the attachments of evidence I sent him, & the few questions he addressed were double-talk & redundant, answering them with another question that didn't even make sense! He even told me my questions weren't pertaining to my case, so he wasn't going to answer them. ‍ Excuse me??? So, he not only charged me $500 for absolutely NOTHING, he wasted 6 weeks of my time, causing me so much grief & frustration, & in the meantime, I ended up getting screwed out of tens of thousands of dollars by the person I hired this self-proclaimed legal professional to help me with in the first place. Gee... thanks for the help your highness! That was a lot of fun! Let's not do it again! HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!
