Me and my father came to Legal Direct at 412 West Rancho Vista Blvd Ste D-40 where we met a young lady(not Lorie Solis Ramirez) I do not know her name but she worked there and said she was on her lunch but she would take us. We inquired about a joint living trust for and my mom and dad. We wanted to know about the legal aspects after having a living trust, whether Medical/Medicare will still go after your assets if something were to happen to either. We mentioned that my mother was in the hospital with terminal cancer, and we didn't know when she was coming home or if she was coming home. The young lady put Lorie Ramirez on the phone and they both said that creating a living trust right now would not be an issue, that if they needed to go to the hospital to notarize they would be willing to do it. I advised that my mom was not really responding or having reasoning(because the cancer had gone to her brain) and we might possibly wait until she is home and stable. They said that if we contacted them on the weekend they would charge us for travel time on the weekend, but otherwise, they wouldn't. My dad decided to pay $600 to begin the process, the girl gave us documents to complete and bring back. My dad did sign a contract, and the girl mentioned something about a $200 fee if we cancel they would retain. We left there on 10/12/2021 with the package to complete , notarize and bring back. Shortly after the hospital told us that my moms cancer was aggressive and she was placed on hospice and passed on 10/18/2021. We never returned any paperwork to start the trust ,nor did we contact Lorie or her office for any notary, and nothing was filed with court. My dad contacted Lories office afterward to advise them that their services were no longer needed since my mother passed away. We never completed the package to begin the process, and therefore we requested our money back. The person that initially helped us at the office was very rude and noncompassionate for the circumstances, she said he wasn't going to get any of his money back because they don't do any refunds. I honestly though my dad had misunderstood, and so I contacted their office afterward, and again advised them that no document was completed or returned back to them to start the process, so what exactly did we pay for ($600), and we understood the $200 nonrefundable fee but what about the rest of the money. The person at the office just continued to be very rude and said we signed a contract and we don't get any money back. We do not require their services anymore and do not wish to ever continue business with them. read more

Wish I read the fine print.... I attempted to use their services, ended up working things out without the need for their services. I called them to find out ultimately what was going to happen with the money I paid. Apparently it costs $200.00 to prepare 2 forms and email them to me and not have to leave the office to do so. Buyer beware don't get ripped off like I did for 5 minutes worth of work on a template, I don't know how these people look at themselves in the mirror and feel good about what they are doing.
