I can't even begin to describe how UNETHICAL I think this law firm is, to start off I hired them to make me two very over priced Living Trusts! We The People made my daughter a living trust almost exactly like mine for 1/4 the cost! Then like a dummy I paid the firm another $400 to consult with two of their lawyers who were absolute jerks in my opinion, they didn't help me at all, total waste of $400! They claim to be there for you if you ever have questions or concerns, SO UNTRUE, they didn't reply to any of my calls or emails I sent them when I had questions and concerns! Now here's where it gets REALLY BAD, they knew all about my finances from making my Living Trust, so being the "ambulance chasers" I believe they are, they're representing a homeless guy that's claiming he worked for us and they're suing us on his behalf and just taking a commission / % from whatever they're hoping to win for him in court! The guy they're representing has never paid child support for his 3 sons, he's never held a steady job, he's on welfare, he was homeless and we tried to help him by letting him stay in our brand new trailer that he completely ruined btw, because we felt bad for his 3 kids and now they're suing us on his behalf, claiming that we were his employers! We hired that firm 3 separate times, our friends also used them, so I can't imagine anything more unethical than what they're doing to us! If you use them for anything they'll know all your personal business like they know ours and know that we own a house and have money, in my opinion no one should trust a law firm that will represent you one day and then turn around and sue you for someone else after they worked for you! Charles Weeks himself went in front of the judge according to my lawyer, and told the judge that his business with us ended after his firm made our LivIng Trusts, absolutely no sense of loyalty to his repeat clients or to his other clients who referred us to them, thats just GROSS in my opinion absolutely GROSS!!! Nicole handled my first eviction and was professional and thorough. The tenant was evicted right away and the house was turned back over to us within 60 days. I was thrilled. Total rip off! We used this company to evict our tenants and they got evicted but the lawyer didn't get a money judgment!!!!! That means that we can't sue for the back rent on the primary wage earner!!!! A HUGE over site! They won't return our calls. We absolutely do NOT recommend. We got the tenants out but can't go after them for what they owe us because our attorney was too dumb to get a money judgment. NEVER use this company. Unbelievable. This was our first eviction. The attorney was also asking for the wrong amount (we got a judgment on one person, not the other who is the primary wage earner) we had to stop him and show him how to do the math! I had a mediocre experience with this company. They did successfully evict my tenant, taking about two months, which is an average time. They did wait a few days to file a response one time and another time they charged me an extra $300 to not wait three weeks to file a response to a spurious motion to dismiss. It seems they were in no hurry since they made more money by it being dragged out. Also, some of their staff were extremely rude to me. I will not be returning to them. In addition, once the court case was over, they were extremely unhelpful. I just wanted to get some information from the files so I could send the judgment to a collection agency and they just ignored me after it was over.Total cost was $1,050, which was not worth the services I received. read more

We were referred by my grandfathers property manager/lender whom Brad also represented. Been using them for evictions and other legal services for about 10 years. I will tell you after doing a ton of evictions, you can't find a company that does a better job. They are quick, efficient, honest, and reasonable. My calls and emails are always answered and I get good honest legal advice on a variety of issue's I may encounter (they specialize in a ton of different legal area's). We used James Charlton to update our trust, which was written 15 years ago by another firm and contained outdated information and confusing paragraphs. In our initial meeting he reviewed the old trust with us, answered our questions, and made recommendations to update the document. After deciding to proceed, we met again with James to give him the needed information. Shortly after, a draft of the trust was e-mailed to us for our review. Our last meeting was to sign and take delivery of the documents, which included the trust, will, and durable powers of attorney - all nicely organized in a professional looking binder. We were totally satisfied with the service of this office. James was very personable and good at providing explanations. Our visits were short and there was no waiting. The office is located in a freeway-close business complex, and is neat and professional. Important to us, his office is a local business and is close to where we live. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with an attorney in my life. I have quite a few properties and have worked with many different attorneys practicing all sorts of law. We had hired them to evict a tenant who had not paid rent in some time. First of all they put the case in our property manager's personal name rather then ours (the actual property owner!). This put us in a bad position as when we asked them to correct it we would have had to start the whole process over again from scratch ultimately costing us more time and money already lost. Second they created a deal with the tenants to avoid a jury trial, to actually pay the tenants to leave the property! Even though the tenants had not paid in a couple months! It was crazy. We never authorized this and were mad as hell about this. All they where supposed to do was show up to the initial hearing and set a trial date so we could fight the tenants scam they have going using jury trails to extend the time in the property while they don't pay. We where out of the country at the time and had left them and the property manager these simple instructions to set a trial date as we would fight it ourselves. But they did not do this and instead set up an agreement to pay them to leave! Then we asked to see the agreement they set up with out our permission, they sent us a temple document with our case number entered and wrong dates! It wasn't even signed. It was because of the fact the case was in another persons name we where told we would have to withdraw the entire case and start over costing us double in the fees we had already paid! So we where essentially forced into paying money that we never had authorized or agreed to because they decided we should. We had to send my wife back and forth to their office because of miss information by their rude Para legal. In addition to all of the debacles we caught them in several inaccuracies of their statements and accounts to us. While speaking to their arrogant owner James he hung the phone up on us several times as we where asking questions. If he get's frustrated he simply hangs up the phone on you. This had happened at least 5 times before I told him I was going to the State Bar. He goes on and on about how he makes no money on evictions and tells nonsense stories about why milk is sold at the back of stores in an attempt to evade any responsibility from the mistakes they had made. Rather then providing any type of good service they simply took the money and left us high and dry. Totally UN professional and rude. We actually seriously felt that they where working with the tenant and not us (the one who hired them to evict these squatters!) I would never recommend this firm to anyone. read more

This is the worse firm to work with -- inefficient and unprofessional staff. My agent requested they start eviction, a lady named Nicole called me to get my CC to charge me for the 3-day notice. Notice was NEVER MADE. We ask them to start the eviction process as tenant did not pay, asked for a copy of the Notice and Nicole refuses to provide it to my agent. She REFUSED my phone calls, and would not call me back. I threaten to challenge the CC charge with my bank if I don't get the owner and/or manager to call me back. A Charles calls me and tells me they will refund the money to my agent (I paid on my CC not the agent's) and they don't want to handle the eviction. He admits they made a mistake and never sent the 3-day notice, but was also rude about it. He had a 'so what' attitude. They would have never refunded me the money if I had not demanded proof of the Notice. How unethical and unprofessional for a law firm! Now I wasted 2 weeks and have to start the process all over again. Tenant owes 1 1/2 months of rent. Don't work with these people. Read the negative reviews and you'll see the same thing - they are unprofessional. To the ones who had a good experience years ago, with Mallory, it was probably her and not the firm who was good. Believe she is no longer with the firm; so you won't get that kind of service ever again. Nicole is terrible - arguing with my agent rather than admitting that she made a mistake; refusing to take my calls once she found out who I was.
