I waited 40 minutes not once, twice, but three times on three consecutive days. Unacceptable. Prices can be decent on certain items but overall much higher than other big box stores. It seems the hiring pool in Colombia, TN is very shallow and those who work there are not happy to have jobs, to say the least. At the front register it's a bit like they think they're doing you a favor by ringing you up and that you've somehow disturbed them by making them do their jobs. Again, unacceptable. I predict a 50% clearance sale when they close this store down in the next 6 months. Good luck, kids.

As a rabbit owner, I am very upset to see the awful conditions Columbia Farm Supply keeps their…read morerabbits for sale in. They house rabbits (purchased from a local breeder) in wire-bottom cages, and cram multiple rabbits into these small areas. They do not provide proper nutrition or adequate amounts of water to the animals either. I have taken pictures for reference. I visit this store every Sunday to purchase hay and pellets for my own rabbits. On multiple occasions, I have tried to gently educate the employees about the correct diet for rabbits. Grass hay is essential to a rabbit's diet as it supports a healthy digestive system. The rabbits are suppose to have unlimited access to hay so they can graze all day long (similar to cows, goats, and horses). I tried explaining to employees at this store the importance of the grass hay. They sell the product in their store; yet have still not given the rabbits a single strand of hay to eat. They choose to feed pellets only, which will eventually make the rabbits ill. There is research to support this. Also, they do not lock the cage doors, which allows for anyone to grab and mishandle these fragile creatures. I have witnessed on numerous occasions small children reaching in and harmfully picking up these rabbits. Also, I have taken pictures of a rabbit whose fur was matted, and who had an injury behind its eye (probably a bite wound from one of the rabbits it is forced to share the small space with). I was very unhappy with the responses I received from the employees I spoke with. They did not seem to care about the husbandry or diet for these live animals at all. The wire-bottom cages cause a painful condition on the bottom of the rabbits' feet called "sore hocks". These animals do not have paw pads or hooves to protect their feet. They are forced to bear their body weight on these metal floors all day long. I hate to purchase supplies from this store as I feel I am supporting their animal neglect and abuse.

There's plenty of seating, whether on the deck, on the lawn (where you can bring your own camping chairs), or inside the shop, which features all sorts of unique trading post decor and merchandise. * Staff are incredibly friendly and accommodating. * Very family-friendly, especially on the lawn. * Pricing is about average for gourmet coffee -- which isn't necessarily a downside or a compliment. In short, whether you're looking for a place to hang out with your family on a hot summer day with an iced coffee or meet a client for a morning latte, Bradley Mountain is a fantastic choice.

The attendants are civil and obliging, contributing much to the ease of one's visit. It is, in short, a place well suited to quiet occupation or cheerful company, and one I should readily recommend.

They managed to cram a massive amount of outdoor gear in a seemingly tiny parcel of real estate in an uppity retail plaza. Their selection of gear was surprisingly diverse, but I didn't get the sense most of the staff was knowledgeable in outdoor recreation through their own extracurricular activities, this was coupled with a hint of pretentiousness. Prices were a little steep on several items that I've compared to other retailers - and I'm not talking about big box stores, either. I'm talking other small businesses and outfitters. If you're in the area and are serious about quality gear, by all means, stop in and support small(er) businesses. But it's noted: There can be better deals to be found on the same items for sale.
