I got a drum from there. It was on the cheaper end for stuff they had, and it ended up having some problems, but they reimbursed me the price of the repair. Super accommodating, I didn't expect that. I felt they gave me a fair price for the stuff I sold too. read more

when I went guy was very helpful and patient and the prices where very cheap considering the Pokemon card market currently

What a joke this place is. Everything is overpriced. The staff is wicked rude. Look at all the negative reviews over the years especially on Google... the same idiot employee who is rude to everyone takes the time one by one to reply with that same a-hole attitude to each review with some sort of excuse blaming each customer for their own shortcomings. Look closer bud, you'll see that YOU are that one common denominator. Avoid this pawn shop like the plague. read more

DO NOT......I repeat DO NOT buy any used equipment from Ted's pawn...I bought a edger and it broke after two weeks and was told basically "good luck with that"....after I shared my experience with friends I was told what I didn't know... they guns don't work either..."how do they test those"...all the money I spent with them.... not another dime. So save yours The worst part is they told me to "take it to a repair shop"...(so more cash on this)...I say ill bring it back and you can go to any shop you want.."no we won't do that" So they WONT DO the exact same thing they want me to do Next time I'll spend the extra cash in the beginning and get a new one. Took a friend to get their Pawn out today. The experience I heard between the two was rude unprofessional and downright nasty to the customer . Also while he was getting his pond out I was viewing the gaming items which I do believe are overpriced and also when I asked a question about a few items was very disgusted to have to be pulled away to even help or answer a question and I won't be back I would have never bought anything from there anyway as soon as I heard how the guy was talking to him anyways. read more

Make up their own firearms rules and are over-priced for in bad shape firearms (the used ones). They sell long guns only to people over the age of 21 and make everybody wait for 3 days? How pathetic. We are not in communist California or New York! They don't deserve your business, if you are a 2A supporter who loves living in a free state and country! read more

over priced trash!!!!...................................... everything is overprice garbage and God help you if you run low on money and need a little help until payday because if you're trying to pawn anything here all they are looking for is a brand new Rolex watch still in the box and they will gladly give you $75 for it INSANE!!!!!! read more

Very kind, patient, and honest appraisal of jewelry I needed sold. Really appreciated the professionalism and quality of service I received. Was recommended by another small business! And did not disappoint. Thank you so much! read more

Ted's Pawn recently moved to a much larger location on Montgomery Avenue that is much more convenient, as well. The character of old Ted's still holds. Many employees available to assist, wide variety of products and generally small discounts. The larger, brighter facility is much more inviting and comfortable to browse. I did notice that it appears that electronics which need a bit quicker churn seem to be priced more aggressively. The new location can hold quite a bit more product and the sheer amount of jewelry is impressive. Ted's now has a few antique type items and is also a pretty good resource for used tools. As similar to before, the pricing is not very exciting from a buyer perspective, but for prospective pawners, Ted's might be one of the best solutions in the city. A significant amount of space in the back is dedicated to evaluting products and processing pawns and payments. They accept a pretty impressive amount of merchandise and now have a terrific new facility to store it in. read more

My go to location for firearm purchases. They sell quality firearms at a fair price and have a knowledgeable staff who can help with questions. They often have classic models/calibers available for many shotguns/rifles/handguns. Would highly recommend. read more

I've been there once. They had a pretty impressive inventory. Their prices were nearly what the items cost new, for USED stuff. I bought a somewhat collectible shotgun, though it was overpriced and they were nonnegotiable, and had to wait 3 days for some reason to pick it up? The gun didn't work and I spent an additional $150 with a gunsmith to fix it. It seems to me that if you're going to ask top of the market prices, you should at the very least do your part and make sure it works. I won't be back. read more

I have been here a couple of times and have always been treated with respect. Prices are very fair as well. Highly recommend!

Yes, Ted's Pawn Shop is as good as it gets. Saw a gun on-line, called Ted and made a deal, and what a deal it was! Much cheaper than anywhere I have looked. Ted said the gun was used and not shot very much at all, I think he was wrong, I believe the gun was brand new, I field stripped it to clean it, and there was NO wear marks any where to be found. I just oiled it and put it back together! This was a fabulous purchase and a fabulous price along with 2 day shipping. THANK YOU TED read more

Prices too high for used crap and rude with customers don't waste time and money better buy new stuff than crap stuff with high prices.

Just came from Ted's Pawn Shop at their new location in Norwood, and I pawned my saxophone and they gave me just the amount of money I needed to borrow to pay a bill, and I was dealt with promptly and courteously. I remember the old location of Ted's Pawn Shop, but the new location is right off Montgomery Road, on Delaware, where Keidel Plumbing used to be. The place is rather large, and the guitar selection is huge and the prices seem fair, as some of the guitars I saw were even brand new. Along with guitars and such, there are a lot of amps and various other string instruments, along with saxophones and various wind instruments and they even carry a wide selection of guns and tools. One of the original owner's son dealt with me in an appropriate fashion. I even saw some guitars and amps that I wouldn't mind purchasing in the future. As far as what I've seen at Ted's Pawn Shop, it's the best darn pawn shop I've ever seen, and maybe because of the wide range of musical instruments and the large selection of guns and tools. read more

Terrible experience went there on a Friday to purchase an item that'll was listed on craigslist Ask to see it operate the sales associate was rude and very unwilling to help nonnegotiable on price Gave me a hassle with my credit card said I would be back the next day they said they would hold it Told them I would be back to pick it up That day or the next My wife went Saturday to purchase item and they said they sold it at 9 AM read more

Upon walking into Teds I was greeted by a gentleman and officer who were both very polite and helpful in telling me where I needed to go. I get the the pawn counter and the young man also very polite offered me a fair price for my wedding set. Even suggested I try another place if I thought the quote was to low. To me it was not so as we proceed to do business another guy inserts himself maybe that's their process or maybe not but very weird. So he does the same tests that the previous guy does and then disappears for several moments only to return and tell me in so many words that my wedding set is fake. Now I know this simply not true because upon purchasing this set it was appraised and had insurance on it based off the appraisal. I'm not sure what his issue is but I will say that's sooo unprofessional and there is never a reason to LIE. I took my set to another place and got the same offer and they did their diamond test right in front of me. So yeah that guy who knows but you shouldn't work there if you can't be honest and work with all people. And the sad part I was actually going to purchase a new hand bag from them but I'll do business elsewhere. read more

I sold some jewelry here and had a good experience,. I visited other places to get estimates and several told me to come back another day because none of their employees could even give me a quote....only the owner could. Also I got a much lower offer elsewhere. At Ted's I got an estimate right away and the offer was a fair price. I will come here again should I need to sell something again! read more

I went into Ted's to sell a watch. The guy looked the watch up on the computer. Barely looked at the watch which cost $250 and had some wear on. Told me that he was willing to me $15 for it...ah no thank you! Then saying they don't hold their value! Honestly I could get more money for it on eBay, which is probably how they would sell it! read more

Excellent customer service. Gave me $300 loan on my Sig Sauer pistol when I had an unexpected bill pop up. Interest rates are competitive, unlike a cash advance place whose are crazy. Would definitely recommend Ted's. read more

Overall good customer experience. They tried to low ball me on some jewelry. I sold them a leather briefcase below asking price. The place could use an interior update. The customer service team looked miserable. read more

I recently purchased a firearm online from Ted's - Great experience. The firearm arrived exactly as describe and the service was very friendly and inviting. Being from Indiana, the level of service of this establishment is by far better than other businesses of this nature in this area. I will do business with Ted's again. Thank you for a great experience. read more

Bought a guitar from these guys that was mis-represented on a craigslist add, and by phone conversations. Went out of my way for a money order like they requested to ship the guitar to me. Refused a credit card because of fees they didn't want to eat. Then, when the guitar arrived, it was missing its and key bridge pieces and parts of it's finish that were never mentioned to me. They refused to make the deal right and wanted me to PAY to ship it back, after they said it was ALL their fault. Stay away everyone. read more

I was really hesitant to go here after reading the other reviews, but I had a few items I wanted to get rid of and decided to stop in. Unlike the other reviews, I found the customer service to be very genuine and pleasant. I was given very reasonable offers and enjoyed chatting about some of the items they see come in from time to time. I'm hoping to go back next time they get a canoe of a kayak in there. They really have just about anything you could imagine. read more

I visit pawn shops often when I'm in vacationing. This had to be one of the worse experiences ever. The owner (?) was rude and very condescending. I wanted to buy a watch and a ring but after the way he answered questions I couldn't wait to leave. I saw him interact with an other person, looking to pawn a guitar, and it was downright disgraceful. How do you run a business like that? read more

The people there are amazing!! So friendly and knowledgeable. No pressure like other places. Quality products at a great price! I won't go anywhere else!! read more

I've been here a few times and am always disappointed. Prices are way too high and they put jewelry away well before closing time. You're not likely to find any treasures here, in my opinion. read more

Ted's has a terrific selection (I recently purchased a handgun for myself and a designer bag for my wife) and a very knowledgeable, helpful staff. Visiting there was a truly enjoyable experience, and we're already looking forward to our next trip to Cincinnati so we can shop at Ted's again. read more

I bought a ring from here and had a great experience. Customer service team treated me great and gave me a great deal on the ring and my fiance loves it. They took care of me like family there. I think most of the people who have given bad reviews on here, have some unreal dollar value that they are going to get for their item they are trying to sell or unreal dollars saved for something they are wanting to buy. Everything is used but in great condition. My fiance's ring is in pristine condition along with a very fair price. Spoke with the guys working there and talked about how they decide what to bring in and what not. Very informative and fair people. read more

Worst time ever. I don't usually go to pawn stores, so I hope this wasn't normal. I own a bicycle store and walked in and asked him if he bought used bicycles to see if we could do some networking and he told me they don't buy used bicycles. I was in the process of asking him if people came in for that reason even if he didn't buy them so that I could get him to send them to me( my store is a block away from his ) and he got huffy and told me to "just hit the door" and get the hell out. From what I'm told by the other small business owners in the area he used to be a nice guy but has gotten worse over the years. Guess it's time to retire before it takes a toll on business...... read more

Staff is friendly, cool products and reasonable pricing. Started Christmas shopping randomly and I figured I would randomly check it out. I was not disappointed. I think his name is Travis, in the gun department, was helpful with my rifle. Gabe (spelling) went the extra mile with a laptop too. I would recommend to anyone. read more

Was looking for a place this afternoon to go pawn a couple of Apple products. As always, I like to read reviews before injecting myself into a new place. I was talking to an older gentleman the other day about case XX knives after my wife bought a laptop . I mentioned having one that was from the 80's and he didnt think they made them , so I did some research and found out markings gave time frames . I copied what I found out and was going to give it to him because I said I would and thought it might help him dating knives . Several people at counter ( and not knowing they were BATFE agents with a few shop employees ) I approached and was going to hand him copy . At the time he was not saying anything to anyone and blurts out a command telling me they could help me in back . I wasnt there to be helped , I was there to follow up on my word to give him something . I attempted to get a quick sentence out and was cut off and commanded to go elswhere for help . I decided I would leave and come back later to give him copy of information . I didnt say a word as I left and then was confronted by door . The words " who the hell do you think you are ? " and " I'm busy ... Thats the ATF over there and I'm trying to run a ( F-bomb ) business " ... I just listened and I'm sure my ears turned red . I left without uttering a word . I am from Colerain and purchase items from Pawn shops and have never been treated this way . I guess I will be keeping my business there after this . Prices are better on most things anyway at Cash america or American trading . Both are near Cross county and easy to get to .... Just an after thought in addition : If you have time to come from behind counter to your front door to cuss at me , but didnt take 2 seconds to let me reply without cutting me off while BATFE is there whats wrong with that picture ? read more

Ted's Pawn has been very good to us. They are very honest with their pricing whether you purchase items or borrow money on your own items. Everything is on their computer, easy to communicate in person or by phone, they send out by mail to inform you of due dates regarding money borrowed against items they are keeping They have great security in the store, I feel safe going in there, very pleasant to visit, very organized store, clean and jewelry items easy to browse and prices are listed easy to see. Customer Service Team, everyone very helpful, very professional in dress and pleasant to talk to. I think if someone is giving them a negative rating it is just because they are either trying to sell something that is not theirs or they just want more money offered for their items they are trying to sell. I have bought and sold items at Ted's and give them a 100% EXCELLENT rating. If you're honest you will have no problem with Ted's, they keep their word on dates due and they will give you honest information on-the-spot regarding items you may want to sell to them. read more
