He also offered some great suggestions about dog behavior/training and texted me some photos while they were out walking which made me very happy. I highly recommend the Alpha Dog Walker and will definitely call him again!

This review is long, long overdue. Elana, Jeff and Sylvester have been watching our Waffles 3-4…read moredays a week now for almost three years, and they've been nothing short of amazing. They are caring, flexible, timely, responsive and Waffles absolutely adores them. In addition to joining them on daily off leash hikes all across Oakland and Berkeley, we've left Waffles overnight with Action Dog about a dozen times. Bottom line is that we have the ultimate trust in this team and know that Waffles is always in good, loving hands with them. They really are his second set of parents and we can't say enough good things about the impact they've had on our lives.

They've remained patient with us through all of our dog's little quirks, and we know he gets super excited every time he hears their car pull into the driveway. He always comes back from his hikes happy and exhausted, and we've noticed his recall has improved significantly since we started working with Action Dog. We couldn't recommend Action Dog enough. We have complete trust when it comes to them taking care of our dog, as well as picking up/dropping off from our house even in moments when we're not around. Sadly we're moving out of the area and will hopefully be lucky enough to find similar care for our dog.

If there's one thing Berkeley needs (well, there's definitely more than one, but I'll pick my…read morebattles) it's quality dog walkers and watchers. When we somewhat surprisingly became dog owners a little over a month ago, the first thing I did was email my pal Miyuki and ask for more information on the pet care business she works for. She got back to me quicksnap, and as soon as Sadie (our 10.5 month old mini dachshund) was fully immunized and spayed, we signed her up for group walks! We were a bit nervous--Sadie is tiny, weighing in at a ferocious 8 pounds--but Catherine and Miyuki tell us she has a good time scampering and bounding around with the bigger dogs. And she's always pooped when she gets home, so we know she's had a good day. It's a kind of big deal for us to feel comfortable enough with people to give them access to our house and our tiny beast when we aren't home, but Catherine came over one evening so we could all meet, and she did an excellent job allaying our fears (about anything) and explaining the precautions Floppy Ears takes with every house and every dog. We love them and Sadie loves them--what else matters?

She was really easy to work with and I felt totally secure leaving my girls with her. We saw Nick and his pack on the trails several times and we were always so impressed with how responsive his dogs were and how much obvious fun they were having. Nick has been taking our guy out for hikes now for about 4 months and we feel so, so lucky to have Nick in our lives. Louie, our now giant 80 lb 1 year old, always comes back exhausted and happy. Nick goes above and beyond getting his pack out, getting exercise and having fun. A fringe benefit is some great auxiliary training for Lou. Nick also makes sure Lou is dried off (if needed) and often brushed upon returning home. An added bonus are the great videos Nick posts on Barking Buddhas' Instagram account. So much fun to see your pup living his best life with the pack and Nick : ) I always tell Louie he's my best friend but I don't kid myself about who HIS best friend is--100% Nick. Best dog walker/human being out there!!!

My pup has been going to Dog Social Club regularly for daycare and boarding since she was 4 months…read moreold. She just turned 2, and Dog Social Club continues to be her second home. My dog has high energy, is extremely social, and thrives on routine, so when I'm busy or traveling for work, it's comforting to know she's in a safe place with people and dogs she loves and trusts. And she just gets to be a dog and romp around outside, her favorite! I am protective of my dog and don't trust many people with her care, but I trust Dog Social Club wholeheartedly and know she's in the best hands here. My dog's body language is relaxed and happy when we arrive and when I pick her up, no matter if she was just there for the day or if she stayed for 5 nights. Her body language really shows when she is uncomfortable, so it is evident that she is happy and feels safe here. I love getting postcards and seeing my dog enjoy the pools, play with pals, and climb on all the jungle gyms. I also regularly add on nail trims for $20 which is so helpful. All the handlers know her by name, and I can tell they really care about her wellbeing. The yards are huge and the sleeping rooms are clean and nice. It's a comfort to know my dog can receive care 24/7 365, and they have been flexible and accommodating when I've needed last minute care. I have tried other daycares, and Dog Social Club is the best. I was actually referred to Dog Social Club by another daycare when I was frantically calling around, and I'm so grateful I was. From the very beginning, the team has been exceptionally kind, warm, and responsive. The intake and greeting process was thoughtful and thorough, not just a quick observation. Suzy took the time to answer all of my questions and shared genuinely helpful information, which immediately put me at ease. I felt confident and reassured that my puppy was in the right hands. Dog Social Club is extremely well-structured, with clear procedures and a level of care that really stands out. Every single person I've encountered, from Katie, the CEO, to the handlers, to Jenn who keeps everything running smoothly, to the front desk team who greet both pups and parents, has been friendly, attentive, and welcoming. I wish I knew everyone's name because they all deserve recognition. My pup absolutely loves going! He knows the smells and sounds as we get closer and I have to make sure he doesn't jump out of the car when I open the door. Also the care he received after being neutered... gosh I can go on and on about how wonderful our time has been with DSC. Most importantly, I truly feel that they care for and love my little Barnaby as if he were their own. As a first-time dog mom, that peace of mind is everything, and I honestly couldn't ask for more.
