I walked in one afternoon and wanted to get some snacks while waiting for the bus home. The guy running the place was really nice, and very easy going. I noticed that some of the Lays bags were expired, and let him know. He was nice about it - I've noticed this kind of thing before at other markets, and owners would snap. Oh well. Cool market! It's really accessible, and has an agreeable selection of things if you run out at the last minute and can't get to Stop and Shop.

Well, I ordered an Italian sub with the oil dressing on the side and instead I got the tomatoes and…read moreonion on the side as well as the dressing, but they didn't put. I didn't ask for the tomatoes and onion on the side. I only asked for the dressing they didn't put lettuce or anything that they normally would put on an Italian sub as far as condiments they totally screwed up myself. I didn't realize it until I got home. I live in Marshfield I went to the store in Hanover. It was horrible. I can't believe they screwed it up. That bad. I paid full price. I don't know what else to say. It's may sound like not a big thing but when I go out and order a sub I expect to get all the condiments on the sub I don't expect to have to go home and put it together and especially when most of my condiments were missing well that's all I have to say I won't be going back

I'll start by saying that I used to love Previte's subs, and I've never had an issue with any of…read moretheir cuts of meat on the butcher side. However, their subs at the deli have gone downhill at neck breaking speeds. I picked up two Tom Turkey subs for myself and a co-worker on my lunch break, got back to work, and unwrapped them. What we got instead were two subs, completely overflowing with stuffing, and 2 little thin cuts of turkey resting on top. Oh yeah, and it DID have a snail trail portion of cranberry sauce, buried under the box of Stouffers stove top. If you're looking for a gobbler sub. I'd stay clear from this one....unless wet soggy seasoned bread, stuffed into yet more bread is your thing.

This is without a doubt one of the oddest Stop & Shop's I've ever been in. It's small - not as…read moresmall as the former S&S in Manomet, but smaller than most. But that makes it fairly easy to navigate - except that they've been renovating bit by bit, so I still can't find anything without staring at the ceiling signs. And the reno has widened some aisles, made other areas appear bigger & brighter while simultaneously shrinking the area contents - it's sorcery, I guess. Their parking lot is now shared with the apartments and retail opposite the store so there are fewer spaces but there are also fewer customers than there used to be in years past. I guess that's why I find myself checking every single sell-by date since I've brought home way too many stale cupcakes, squishy tomatoes and questionable deli purchases from this store. And I do stare at the ceiling signs while wandering through, because most of the employees roam the store acting as if the few customers are invisible. Which in itself is fine - except I'd love an acknowledgement from one employee when I'm trying to get someone's attention to ask one question. I know they're employees because they speak to each other, just not . . me? High marks for cleanliness in this store, just not 5 stars because it's very off-putting that the employees are so detached. That seems to be the norm though in other S&S's as well, so maybe it's just a thing they learn to do? And the deli lady isn't as mean as she used to be, so that's a plus too.
