The compassion here makes you feel like you don't have to worry about being judged or looked down on. Your opinion matters to her and the staff. The hygienist was very thorough as she shared what she was doing as she worked, and I was very comfortable as she took excellent care. Xrays were from a top-of-the-line machine, and everything was very clean and looked brand new and quite expensive. The dentist looked over the films and announced that I needed five crowns, showing me two spots on two different teeth. I walked out in absolute shock, and my spouse staggered when I told him what the dentist had said. Considering most of my family needed dentures at 35 years old, I thought that my teeth would be in bad condition, but not that bad. My spouse's dentist has a more conservative approach in saving as much of the tooth as possible, and avoids using a crown unless absolutely necessary. This dentist is good if you like a, very strong approach toward your dental care and can afford to pay for that approach.

My old dentist in the city found a big cavity that frankly they missed. They showed me the x-ray and I couldn't see what they were talking about. Now the problem was going to require a root canal. I don't usually get nervous at the dentist, but I was. An ongoing issue with my old dentist was that it was too far away. Even if I went with my old dentist, the trip would be an hour drive both ways - possibly multiple trips. I needed to find someone closer. So, I found a new dentist here in Shawnee. These folks took very good care of me. I didn't feel rushed. The equipment is excellent. Their x-ray showed the problem clearly - even with my untrained eyes. The decay was close to the nerve. I didn't want a root canal if at possible. They respected that choice. After it became clear to me that this is what needed to happen, they got me in more quickly than I expected. The estimate was accurate. The equipment was modern. They don't use paper forms; just taps and swipes - very cool. This is where I am taking my family. I'm setting up an appointment today for cleanings.
