Karin is incredible. I came in from out of town with tendinitis issues from playing guitar, Karin spent our first chunk of time together really digging into the source of my issues and then went to town. The results were unreal. My hands feel as if the strength has been restored to them and the pain/soreness I feel on a regular basis, at the time of writing this review is far more manageable than it has been in years. Sorry for this delayed review. I saw Karin Pine, Licensed Massage Therapist, for several sessions last May while I was camping nearby. I found her to be very knowledgable, as well as skilled and experienced. Karin was able to tailor her massage techniques for what various areas of my body needed. My left hip, which had a long term problem, is still doing well after her care. I highly recommend Karin Pine for all of your massage needs. read more

November 11,2014. On Aug. 25 I broke my wrist hiking. I had surgery and 9 screws and a plate later, I was still experiencing swelling and lack of movement, and pain. After one hour on Karin's table, my wrist has improved movement and less pain with the increased movement. I can't wait to use the Tecopa clay that she suggested to help draw out some of the inflammation. She truly has an intense healing touch. read more

I have come to believe that Karin is one of the reasons that I am drawn to visit Tecopa/Shoshone at least a couple of times a year. I really wish I could see her more often. She is so intuitive and, though she always asks me what needs attention, I trust her to listen to my body and know where the focus needs to be. If you are looking for just a relaxing massage, Karin can do that, but she is a healer. She goes deep in so many ways and the effects can be felt long after she is done working on you. She is also very good with feedback and asks for it so that she can adapt if something is not comfortable. Couple your massage with soaking in the hot springs nearby and the results are even more amazing. I can't recommend Karin enough. read more

I'm also an licensed massage therapist I went to Karen even though I was taken aback by what she charges for a 90 minute massage. 180.00. But she insisted that she usually gets well over 260.00 which she made a point of reminding me of repeatedly throughout the massage. She said she had a unique technique that justified her high prices. So I thought I'd give her a try. It was really good at times and she unwound some restrictions in unusual places that don't normally get attention. But she only worked my neck hands,arm and hips. Her technique is very slow and deep so I guess that's why but I expected more coverage of my body for the very high rate that she charges. I wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt and not be a haggler so I went with it but I do not feel her pricing is fair at all. There is a new therapist in town at Delights hot springs with 25 years experience and only charges 70.00 an hour. I would have gone with him but I already made a reservation with Karin which I secured with my credit card number. All in all I did experience some relief but I still think she overcharges. She also talks a little too much when I was on the table, and her nails kept digging into my skin. Ok. In all fairness I'm adding to this review. The next morning I really noticed a difference in my neck and arms. She has something unique here with her technique. But It's a little too rich in pricing for my budget to justify seeing her again. read more

This woman is AMAZING!!!! She was able to alleviate pain from what i thought was a rotator cuff tear. I was able to rotate my arm in a complete circle after 1 treatment, something i hadnt been able to do comfortably in over a year. Nearly a month after I am still feeling good! Ever since our chance meeting with Karin we have been regular clients whenever we are in the Tecopa area. Last year my husband was injured and chose to drive 3 1/2 days to be treated by Karin...is she good or what!!! Oh yeah. She is worth the drive. Upon our first meeting Karin was able to rid me of a 36 year whip lash that was never treated and caused me intense pain for those many years. If you don't believe the reviews,then you are missing out on regaining body motion, feeling pain free,and being able to enjoy pain free movement. I found Karin 8 years ago. I had an old whiplash injury that was never treated. I had resigned myself to minimal range of motion in my neck and chronic back and shoulder pain. I had tried conventional professionals that took my money,gave me prescriptions , I continued with pain for over 35 years. After speaking with Karin and learning that her technique was different than what I had experienced, I am here to tell you that after 3 days of intense body work, I could touch my toes and look over my shoulder without turning my whole upper body? Was it a miracle, no it was a woman that knows the human body and understands how to work with it. I had Karin come to Canada,(where I live) and introduced her to many friends and acquaintances who greatly benefited from her healing hands. It was life changing for me and I now enjoy my retirement and lead an active healthy life. More than amazing! A miracle, answered prayers. I have suffered for years from low back pain, sciatica. It has been 2 months since my visit and I came home to my chainsaw and brush clearing getting ready for the fire season. I have not been to the chiro or any other treatment since seeing Karin. I still have no back pain and I am working 4 hours a day bending cutting and pulling brush. Splitting and stacking fire wood. I am a 72 year old female. God sent me to Karin. Karin is a really special person who is very knowledgeable about massage therapy - to even call it that is downplaying her expertise. She has developed her own technique that looks at the whole body's connective tissue (fascia) and treats it accordingly. I saw her for pain in my wrist and she correctly diagnosed that I had issues throughout my right elbow and shoulder - accordingly, she treated all of those areas and I left feeling much better, albeit exhausted from the work. Restless leg syndrome cured! When I went to see Karin this past May, I had no idea that a casual mention of my restless leg syndrome would lead to a major healing. This problem, starting about 25 years ago, had gotten progressively worse. I found some natural remedies that would temporarily quelch the annoying sensations in my legs, but they were not cures. Karin told me she was going after it, and wow did she! Since my session 7 weeks ago, I haven't had one episode of restless leg! And I just discovered another side benefit this week. For years I would only let massage therapists lightly touch my legs, because any kind of pressure was painful. Yesterday I discovered I could literally rake my knuckles over my calves, and it actually felt great!
