They tried it, while I was on the phone, and said that it would not turn on. After three more days they said that they troubleshoot it and the display, video card and motherboard were ruined from the spill. I asked how they determined that. They said it would not turn on and that they pulled it apart and looked at it. They quoted me 1300.00 to fix it. I told them that I wanted to think about it. After 5 days, I got the laptop back and tried turning it on and everything worked fine. I don't why it took so long, or why my computer worked just fine for me.

Before taking my stereo receiver into Doctor Video I called repair shops in Northern VA, Richmond, and Roanoke, all of which quoted me more than $100 to replace a piece of hardware that costs less than $3 online. Mike at Doctor Video was very reasonable to deal with; I spent less than $50 getting the issue fixed and had the pleasure of some of the best customer service from a repair shop in my life. My only gripe was that the repair took a bit long however in the grand scheme of things, I would rather wait an extra few weeks for the repair to be finished than pay more than double the price to shops with rude technicians or poorly experienced repairmen. If I am ever in need of electronic repair in the area I will absolutely be bringing my business here.
