Due to how late it was (around 10pm when I came) I didn't want any drinks/anything caffeinated but the milk cakes did catch my eye. I was expecting it to be ridiculously sweet based off it looking like a tres leches but I was pleasantly surprised at how balanced the sugar was with the spices. While not necessarily quiet due to the large crowds that gather to say OMG I'd never do something like that, that's crazy, as they watch paragliders soar along the cliffs and those waiting for their tandems. But come early enough, on a weekday, with meh weather? Still better than sitting in an office~! The food was less expensive than I thought it would be - reasonable actually for something that is pulled from a cooler and tossed onto a grill with little effort behind the makeshift kitchen. Orders are a bit hard to hear, but damnit - why did it have to be okay tasting?! I thought for sure it would be the worst - but a solid three out of five. Will I be back? Yep. Order food? Yep. This location seems connected to an office building, and it definitely felt like an afterthought on the weekend when the surrounding businesses are closed. When we walked in, we were told they were out of coconut syrup, had no baked goods available, and he said they were out of the first 4 items on the menu -- so essentially no breakfast items. The coconut syrup is one of Mostra's signature touches--and honestly one of the main reasons I go--so that was a letdown. And a coffee shop without any pastries or baked goods felt a bit unusual. I still like Mostra as a brand, but this experience didn't reflect what I've come to expect. I'd recommend either stocking key items consistently or adjusting weekend operations if supply is limited. We'll likely stick to their other locations next time we're in town.
