When I went on a saturday night, this place was poppin' with a live singer/band and a stunt show. The food is a little pricey here but you're paying for the entertainment. I highly recommend this place if you're living around the Madrid Colon Area. Make sure to visit their vermouth bar and try their tap selections. Outrageous.

I am sure I sound like the ugly American tourist but when I think kid friendly I think toddlers and strollers and ease of mobility. It was loud and crowded with a confusing ordering system. This is probably the spot for young singles or folks with older kids but I would not recommend for families with young toddlers

Yes the music is often cheesy and yes the decor is abhorrent... Everything from Tranny's to suits, to costumes, to hotties.... type in 69 Petalos in youtube for a bunch of promotional videos - a very unique experience with a really fun vibe... always had fun when I ventured here... If you are too cool for school and extremely uptight then would recommend you avoid this place!

Absolutely beautiful area in Madrid! While visiting for my 39th birthday, this was added to the…read morelist of places to check out. Full of shops, vendors, amazing restaurants, and more chocolate stores than you can imagine! I loved the fact that everyone just kinda minded their own business and did their shopping, while most stood or sat around, eating food or talking with friends. We sat in the square, eating slices of pizza, and people watched while avoiding hungry pigeons and random folks offering to take photos LOL. It's a tourist spot, so what can you do! But it was a nice respite from the hustle and bustle of the main city, and I took a stroll every day.

The one I attended to was one based on Gabriel Garcia Marquez book, De Amor y otros demonios, exquisite! For October their calendar has quite a lot of events, including the marcha for Vivamerica, which by the way was amazing! The talks about music, film were so interesting and I was able to see people that Ive never imagine! The building itself is beautiful and there is a terraza too so after the events you can go a have a drink there. I am a Fan!

Don't miss an opportunity to see a show here. Whether it be a concert, a play, a lecture or…read morereading, you will be enchanted. We were first here a few weeks ago to see a concert, and what a truly wonderful place to see a live, intimate show. The capacity is around 500 persons divided between 3 or 4 balconies and floor seating; the newly installed red retro chairs are fine; good views of the stage and excellent accoustics. The building's architecture and decor hails from the "modernista" (Art Nouveau) era which can easily stir the imagination and certainly adds reverence and delight to any show. The best way to inform about upcoming shows and obtain tickets is by jumping on their website.
This is a circus theatre!! And it has endless shows! There's something going on ALL the time. If…read moreyou happen to tour Madrid, check their website, click "programacion" (on the left) and see if they have an event. Note: the website doesn't seem to accept my Canadian credit card... so I bought my ticket in person at the box office (which opens at 6pm, I know...) Note 2: they are VERY strict with cameras. So I hope they don't kill me as I post mine. The staff is nice, they will try their best to understand you (me). I communicated by showing them my phone (with the event page open), and they got it. They also weren't rude at all, especially when they had to repeat themselves and I stared blankly (I'm sorry!!). If this were Toronto... Other than CIRCUS shows, there are music shows (singers and bands) as well. The tickets are super cheap! Since I had to rely on the staff's seat pick (argh), I was pleasantly surprised they made sure to choose "best available" for me! yay!! All the seats are pretty good, they are arranged nicely so people in front will not obstruct your view. The stage is not big. Okay the audience: this place seems like a children's festival venue. So you will see a lot of children. And a lot of children cannot sit still, especially with so much action and music going. You just have to pray to the circus gods that they're not sitting behind you. (FYI they were sitting to my left, not behind me. Thank goodness. But the poor 10 year old boy in front had to deal with seat kicking, ear-piercing screams, and little hands grabbing his hair. The poor boy!! And his parent obliviously didn't switch seats with him. Argh. Jeez) OK THE SHOW: the one I watched was an anniversary show by la Escuela de Circo Carampa (a circus school since 1994!!!). And they are freaking amazing, let me give you an example: tight-rope walking on loose ropes (there were 5) and he walked (and danced) the ropes like he's strumming a guitar. The show was a bunch of mini shows, featuring 1-2 performers. It was fun. You know those frisbee rings that are super bendable, well one performer used these in his show. Circus here wasn't the traditional stuff, they used a bunch of "Oh I didn't know you could play with that!?" materials.

The theater calls itself 'Teatro Circo Price' or Price Circus Theater and is shaped in the classic ring that maximizes viewing for attendants. This worked really well for the concert, in my opinion, and the seats we had were in no means expensive or great but everyone could see the action on stage. The attendants were quite polite and did not make anything difficult for our group, which included mostly teenagers who all had a good time.
