This is the first time I've ever gotten my hair colored and I was really nervous. I had to wait about a week for my appointment. Deanna did a great job with my hair for both cut and color and did exactly what I showed her I wanted. My friends loved it when they saw it after and couldn't stop raving about it!! I am brand new to the area (2 months) and I was lucky enough to have someone recommend Deanna at Tease Salon to cut and color my hair. I was very nervous because the same woman had been cutting and coloring my hair for 10 years. I am blonde, and I think that you can really mess up blonde easily. It can be too yellow, too dark, too light. There is a sweet spot. Well, I cannot recommend Deanna enough. I emailed Beth, the owner to try to find a stylist who could do both my hair and my 7-year old's first ever haircut. Beth got back to me very quickly, recommending Christie, who reached out to me immediately and got us in for an appointment the very next day. Christie was absolutely wonderful! In addition to it being my daughters first hair cut, she and I were also donating our hair. Christie does lots of hair donations, and she clearly knows what she is doing! She even would have sent in the donations for us if we wanted. She was so kind and put my daughter at ease, engaging her in conversation and explaining what she was doing every step of the way. Yup....here I am doing yet another review for a hair salon. I'm not going to be the type that says "its not my fault". No, I'm going to take responsibility and fess up that it is 100% my fault. Of course, I could stay loyal to a salon rather than to the person who cuts my hair, however as I'm getting older and grey, I really don't want to upset the masses and subject myself to the ridicule of a new stylist. I will take my punches and accept the ridicule from my current stylist. Ok, the real reason I stay with my stylist is as follows: A. She does a very good job to meet my needs, B. I've been seen by her for years, C. This place is closer to home, D. I finish my haircut and BAM, my appointment is set for the next month and E. She is flexible with my schedule. This salon appears to be aged on the outside however the inside is up to date and feels new on the inside. Plenty of parking on the weekends and on weekday nights. There is free wifi available if that is your thing while getting your haircut. I could see that being more important to the female clientele vs. a male just receiving a haircut. So why the 4 stars? Well I saw another reviewer mentioned that they were offered wine during their appointment. I have yet to be offered that wine selection as of yet. Granted, I usually get my hair cut very early in the morning. :) Seriously, a great place to go and prices are as competitive if not more than others in the area. read more

This is a quaint little salon that is easy to get to with plenty of parking. The owner is usually there to greet you along with the staff who are all very nice. I came to Anne James salon because my sister-in-law was getting married and had a hair and makeup test trail with Anne(hair) and Sam(make-up). She was recommended to us from another bridesmaid(Kelly). Not only did she do a fabulous job at doing all of our hair for the wedding (Sept.14th) but she did a great color on my hair about two weeks prior to the wedding. Anne is a color perfectionist and explains to you what the color will do. She is train very well by Wella hair products and I love their color line! Anne's hair cuts are just as great too. All I can say is if your nervous about changing your hair stylist and I know we all are, trust me and the other reviews- Anne James knows hair! I am and will be a returning customer to Anne! Sam! She did the makeup for the bridal party(not me, I opt out and did my own) my sister-in-law Claire looked beautiful and my mom looked great as well. Their makeup came out fresh and neat. I can't remember exactly where I found a previous review of this place, but the only stylist I go to is Kati. She's awesome and even though I should get my checkups more often than I do (speaking of which I'm due for another), it's nice to know she remembers me regardless of the fact I see her maybe 2-3 times a year. =X Ironically, when I started going here my roommate at the time had mentioned she'd been going to this salon for years (although I forgot the name of her stylist). This place is great though - close to home with a great atmosphere and service. I thought it quite innovative that they have light switches for some stylists for their clients to let them know they're here. There's free wifi and complimentary wine, tea and water. =) You can also get your nails done here, but I have yet to try that out. Maybe next time! read more

I had the pleasure to call Bekie my "hair girl" and Deana my therapist (aka manicurist) for the past year and a half. My hair is fine and there is a lot of it. I came to Bekie in 2014 after returning from a deployment with a really bad dye job from a foreign stylist. She was able to lighten my hair from a dark black to my natural deep brown without damaging my hair. She truly listened to what I wanted with my hair. I loved my hair each and every time I went to see her for monthly for root maintenance and trims. Deana is the best manicurist EVER and a wonderful woman. Her application of gel polish is flawless and they don't peel! Unfortunately, I had to move out of state. I miss these ladies dearly and am jealous of those that get to be beautified by them. read more

Loved it here! I was nervous to get my hair dyed for the first time but Deanna did a beautiful job! Deanna was quiet and focused which made things a lot easier for an introvert like me.
