Very knowledgeable coaching and the family vibe I received was more than enough to make me feel comfortable, especially with a close combat sport as this. After about 4 months of teaching I became very ill with the onset of Crohn's disease and cancelled my membership at Syracuse Kung Fu. Mr. Bey, the owner, continued to bill my account for 6 months despite multiple reminders to stop payment, and I eventually had to cancel my debit card to get the payments to stop. Despite acknowledging that I am owed a refund for the full amount, he has claimed for over a year to be unable to pay a due to being in debt. Mr. Bey is a skilled kung fu practitioner and a decent teacher, but he is a disorganized businessman and dishonest when it comes to money. 1 star--only because I can't give it zero--from a former student who was dismayed by Mr. Bey's behavior.
