Love this park... Went with the BFF this past weekend when in Marlboro…read more.. She had been talking about it & considering my son isnt LOVING water at this stage in life, I was apprehensive... But Im SOOOO Glad that we went... First off the parking is weird & far away, but at least glad there is ample parking... The park is enclosed & this is a HUGE plus coming from the mother of a very curious little boy who wants to run all around at times... I am not worried that he has wandered off (I dont usually let him out of my sight for 1 sec, but still the gate is good) The sand box might have been the biggest "OOHHH" moment for me, there must have been 754 Dump Trucks & other little sand things & I asked my gf rather excitedly "Do these come with the park", because as I had noted earlier my son tends to be very curious and will almost climb into or onto other peoples strollers/bikes, so these being the parks toys was super exciting, he could play & I wouldnt have to continually tell him NO & keep apologizing to other parents... The climby, slide thingy (what are those called anyway) was rather large & there were several things that could be climbed up & down & ran across with several slides on it... I even climbed up there... The sprinkler pad was not on when we went - they close at 4 on Saturdays (will keep in mind for next time) There are picnic tables & benches all around & there are basketball courts AND A PORT-A-POTTY!!! How cool is that, not that I would use it but the conveinence is still pretty cool! I will def be back soon (prolly this Sat)...

At the trial class, we noticed they moved through tasks a little too quickly, but our child had a good experience and they offered a 6-month commitment promotion that was hard to refuse. At the second class, our daughter was very overwhelmed by a much larger number of kids and by the loud music. She also expressed wanting more freedom to engage in certain physical activities longer, and the classes are structured to move quickly from task to task. The coaches did try to engage her, but it was clear to our daughter and to us the environment and the class structure was not a good fit for her. When I contacted management to explain this a request a refund for future classes, we were told we could not get our money back, it was now considered credits we could use later (this was over $100). Anyone who genuinely cares about the children and families they work with knows this work requires flexibility and understanding when it doesn't work out, especially young children. If we had been offered our money back we would have certainly considered trying again at a later time, but after this, we will never return to a KidStrong. Parents, please don't make our mistake. If you choose to commit to a class, we strongly recommend paying as you go.

Cute park downtown Northborough has this tiny little sprinkler playground too. It's not very…read moreembellished; just a concrete pad and a bunch of different sprinklers coming atcha, but hey! on a hot day, it works! At any one time, you may find about 10 kids running through the sprinklers and playing with little buckets and dumptrucks, some of which, I think belonged to the park, and maybe the number of adults languishing on the sidelines. Now, the first ever splash park I ever attended was the one on route 9 in Brookline, and it was amazing, with spinning wheels, and self-dumping buckets of water, and timed fountains, and all sorts of age directed gizmos, so I may be ruined for all other simpler splash parks. But it was still fun. There is sizeable playground adjacent, with excellent climbers and swings, and a woodchip floor. However, the playground is like on a hotplate under a heating lamp. I will never understand why playgrounds seem to always be in the hottest spot in the whole park without opportunity for shade? On a weekend like this weekend, it was empty because the swings and play structures were literally hot enough to fry an egg, or, indeed, a baby bottom. My baby is about 1, and he is probably a little on the younger side. The splash pad is more for persons who are able to run and jump and fill buckets, but even a crawling toddler, kneepads included, was able to appreciate getting cooled off. And he laughed and laughed. So, you can imagine the older kids - they were having a blast. Such unabashed joy - just to be running through a cold spray of water. I really miss being a kid, when you needed so little...
