She stated at times lots of Teenagers hang out there & smoke (often things that are illegal) and there is often bad language and she has at one time or another got into a verbal discussion (for lack of a bad word) with kids that are cussing up a storm & talking down to the toddlers in the park... The Play things were great, there is a huge double slide so the boys could race... There are only a few swings, and the ground is woodchippish, there is only one entrance which is a huge plus with toddlers and there are tons of picnic tables and benches all over!!! Def a park that we will continue to visit (when there arent rude little kids that I will fight with) when in Marlborough!

At any one time, you may find about 10 kids running through the sprinklers and playing with little buckets and dumptrucks, some of which, I think belonged to the park, and maybe the number of adults languishing on the sidelines. Now, the first ever splash park I ever attended was the one on route 9 in Brookline, and it was amazing, with spinning wheels, and self-dumping buckets of water, and timed fountains, and all sorts of age directed gizmos, so I may be ruined for all other simpler splash parks. But it was still fun. There is sizeable playground adjacent, with excellent climbers and swings, and a woodchip floor. However, the playground is like on a hotplate under a heating lamp. I will never understand why playgrounds seem to always be in the hottest spot in the whole park without opportunity for shade? On a weekend like this weekend, it was empty because the swings and play structures were literally hot enough to fry an egg, or, indeed, a baby bottom. My baby is about 1, and he is probably a little on the younger side. The splash pad is more for persons who are able to run and jump and fill buckets, but even a crawling toddler, kneepads included, was able to appreciate getting cooled off. And he laughed and laughed. So, you can imagine the older kids - they were having a blast. Such unabashed joy - just to be running through a cold spray of water. I really miss being a kid, when you needed so little...

Today for the first time, we visited the Pool - She had been talking about it all spring & I was very weary - but actually had a GREAT time... First off its a 2ft Wading Pool - so dont show up expecting to do HandStands & Dives (Unless of course you are vertically challenged)... The baby was unsure at first (hes never really been in a pool now that he is aware of the world), but I got in & laid down with him & we had a blast... It was busy but not soo much that we were bothered... There were some lifeguards there that do make you feel safe, there is a restroom which is also convenient... It was a good time, I would definitely recommend if you have smaller children & dont want to deal with bigger kids pushing & splashing... However it was also my first time, I might have just picked a good day - who knows what next weekend will bring (Ill update)!

It's a disturbing experience as parents to realize you've been baited into a money trap while…read moretrying to support our child. We tried 2 classes at Westborough KidStrong for our 4-year-old. At the trial class, we noticed they moved through tasks a little too quickly, but our child had a good experience and they offered a 6-month commitment promotion that was hard to refuse. At the second class, our daughter was very overwhelmed by a much larger number of kids and by the loud music. She also expressed wanting more freedom to engage in certain physical activities longer, and the classes are structured to move quickly from task to task. The coaches did try to engage her, but it was clear to our daughter and to us the environment and the class structure was not a good fit for her. When I contacted management to explain this a request a refund for future classes, we were told we could not get our money back, it was now considered credits we could use later (this was over $100). Anyone who genuinely cares about the children and families they work with knows this work requires flexibility and understanding when it doesn't work out, especially young children. If we had been offered our money back we would have certainly considered trying again at a later time, but after this, we will never return to a KidStrong. Parents, please don't make our mistake. If you choose to commit to a class, we strongly recommend paying as you go.
