Mary Jo is the best real estate agent I have ever worked with. She is professional and patient,…read moreand always takes the time to explain every step along the way. Mary Jo is the best agent to have by your side to navigate this choppy real estate market. Even when the first sale for my house fell through, Mary Jo stayed calm and told me not to worry. Within two days of the first sale falling through, we had multiple offers coming in already. I had no doubt that Mary Jo was fighting hard for me and my best interests throughout this entire process. I would not hesitate to use Mary Jo again, or to recommend her to my friends and family.

Hi Folks, I almost…read morelet this be but when I read the review from Mary Jo Brummer's title company (Ron P.) about me I just had to respond. On May 28, 2013 my agent wrote me: "I also had a long conversation with Mary Jo and the (name of sellers deleted) concerning the 9th Street deal. She assured me that if you withdrew your post on Yelp she would sign the cancellation instructions. " My response back on May 28, 2013: "In regards to Mary Jo Brummer, I stand by my post and will not be blackmailed. Everything I wrote was true. If she signs off on the funds then I will update my post to reflect that she released them. I've worked hard to establish a respected presence on Yelp since 2009 and do not use it to leverage my position. " One could say this review cost me $1,000 because I wasn't willing to compromise my ethics. Please pay particular attention to the 5 star reviews she's received since my negative review. Look at how long the people who have been writing 5 star reviews for Mary Jo have had a presence on yelp since I pointed out Mary Jo's lack of ethics in real estate. She even had her title company write a bad review about me. LOL! They don't even know me. I've written many reviews and have been offered free meals and services to make up for dissatisfactions but I've always refused because I wasn't writing reviews to get free meals or credits, I was utilizing Yelp as it was meant to be used. I was also writing to help the businesses, like the Fish Market, get back to their previous level of excellence. They did and I'm so happy about that because I love that restaurant chain. Mary Jo Brummer will probably continue to ask people in her circle to write positive reviews about her to refute my negative review. I'm done with this and am moving on. Oh and I never got my earnest money back. I just ask you to be extremely cautious when you decide upon a real estate agent. And if anyone is interested in a property on 9th St. in Carson City let me know because I will gladly share with you the inspection reports which also cost me a lot of money.

If you're in the market for a property management team that's equal parts incompetent, indifferent,…read moreand outright predatory--congratulations, you've found the gold standard in Carson City mediocrity. Valley Realty & Management specializes in gouging tenants while delivering exactly zero in return: broken appliances left to rot, maintenance requests vanishing into the void, tenant rights treated like optional suggestions, and a staff whose default setting is "rude and condescending" (their Yelp reviews read like a support group for traumatized renters). Want your sewage to back up into the bathtub while being told to "deal with it or move"? They've got you. Prefer your security deposit clawed back for imaginary damages after they ignored every repair you begged for? Signature move. And if you're a property owner trusting them with your investment--good luck; plenty of former tenants suspect the skim is happening on both ends because why limit the grift? Rent from Valley Realty & Management if you enjoy funding a masterclass in how to alienate humans, violate basic habitability laws, and still stay in business. Or, you know, just keep scrolling--because literally any other company in Nevada has to be an upgrade over this dumpster fire of a operation. (Pro tip: Read the reviews before signing. The pattern is crystal clear, and it's not pretty.)
